I reserved a 26' truck weeks in advance, but when the day came to go get it, I was only able to get a 20' truck. I get to the yard which is closed and have to input all the info I already did online through and via text to the app again (license, contacts, etc) which took like 20 min there. I get in the truck and it wouldn't start, it finally caught after the 6th try just barely. I take it to the tow yard across town to pick up the trailer and it wont start for them one they hooked up the trailer. They tried everything but the battery was dead. I waited for 2.5 hours for a roadside assist to replace the battery so I could drive to my house. The people were very nice in the uhaul in Yuma but the whole experience was very poor. They wanted to just swap me a different truck but said they can't per rules. Uhaul should prioritize advanced reservations and if there's a problem with the truck, it should be just swapped out immediately and not make you wait for hours for a fix. I won't recommend using Uhaul to anyone personally.

Aaron PI have to factually report that the trailer was inoperable at time of pick-up. The connection plug for the lights was damaged. I had reserved this particular model trailer well in advance for pick up in Yuma. At the last hour, I was informed there were no trailers in Yuma and I had to go 20 miles out of my way to this location in Somerton to get one, then to find it was not ready for use. In fairness to the personnel there, they did work to replace the wiring and the trailer was ready after an hour's delay. Once repaired, the trailer was satisfactory. The Somerton facility is what it says, basically like a large barn with basic amenities. You can get your U-Haul with courteous service, but in a 1950's rural setting.
Robert MAfter completing my trip I saw the online receipt and was shocked to see the addition of $70 for insurance coverage which I did not request with my online reservation. Completely pissed off by this and will be calling Uhaul HQ soon. I believe it was the local rental place that just decided to add it on. I didn't ask for the total after the guy ran my card but will have to not trust Uhaul dealers in the future and I will ask.
