This was what I called false advertising, they led me to believe that I could rent the van for only 19.00 dollars for 24 hours. Instead, I rented it for 23 hours with 3/4 tank of gas and I returned it with a full tank, driving a distance of 28 miles around trip and they charged me 95.00 dollars. I would never used them again nor refer anyone.
Fignole IThe store manager was not at the store to check out the car. I was told by the worker that he would leave a note and the vehicle would be deemed on time. I see now I have an additional charge of $81 on my account.
Gabriela dVehicle clean but not well maintained. Some lights were on in dash, unknown symbols couldn’t figure what had them on. Starting the truck, the trailer setting would turn in automatic, ( I was told that is not good for transmission ) There was a constant humming maybe power steering or power brakes.

Lashadrienne Gi had 930 rental p/u time w dolly reserved. when i got there the person wasnt even there. the gas station attendant had to call the person. There was NO dolly (which i specified in reservation). i was told to go to another uhaul to see if i could find a dolly. and the gas station attendant told me he was 'doing me a favor' by giving me the keys b/c thats not his job. AND WAS STILL CHARGED FOR the dolly! Then i was not given ANY rental agreement and i got pulled over for speeding and couldnt provide any info to the officer. when returning, i put a gl of gas for the 21miles ii used and apparently that wasnt enough because i was charged an addtl gas fee. i immediately called when i saw dolly and they did reimburce me. had EMPLOYEES been paying attention perhaps this wouldve gone smoother. I was furious about dolly as the whole point of the uhaul was to move a dresser, which needed a dolly to achieve purpose. i had to pay an addtl $25 fee to the person at the condo for letting me borrow the dolly. not fair when i specifically asked for 1 during reservation.

Pauline TThe van smelled like a chimney. When I turned the key I immediately got a message that said tires are low add air. I drove 3 miles before the gas light went on. The passenger seat needed to be vacuumed. When I returned it and told the location owner he just shrugged his shoulders and said oh well.

Dmitrii TThe van was FULL of roaches! Endless THIUSANDS of them!! Please DO NOT rent this van to anyone!! They crawled on to all my boxes, clothing, hair, into my home and storage unit! They came out of ALL nooks and spaces inside the whole van! This has been by far the very WORST experience of my entire life! I wouldn’t even begin to ask for refund or anything back given the fact that nowadays losing a small client like me doesn’t mean anything anymore. Don’t care about the money! It is the principle of it all. It’s easy for such a big company to brush off and disregard when looking at customers from the cold side of the barrel. Keep your money, keep your truck. Farewell

luis JActually provide a dolly when the customer has paid for it. I paid the 7$ and not refunded because there was no dolly in the truck and the site had no dolly on location to provide. Other than that it was fast and convenient
Lesli MI didn't see anywhere in the process that you had to refill the gas tank. With ppl being budget conscious, we need to know the total cost, and gas costs can add to the cost significantly. Also there was some kind of rental tax that showed up on the final invoice. Just be transparent,.. people will appreciate it!

Liz MEverything was fine. Location is very convenient, guy who was there was very friendly, car was super new and looked like new one. I am a girl and little bit confused how to drive because car was little bit different (transmission of gearbox was on the front), but I decided problems and did all my moving fast. Thank you for opportunity. BUT, when we took the car it was half a tank of gasoline and we returned the same, but I was charged additional $9.90. I didn't get why

Ann HHello, I was overcharged for the gas. I have Pictures of the gas level when I picked it up. I need a refund immediately. I can send you a picture of the gas level and time stamp. You'll see it was at the time of the rental started. I returned the truck with exactly the level, which is NOT shown in the deceptive receipt. hamid MI was overcharged and I had to go again to ask them to fix it. The representative at the ship said he didn’t have access to U-Haul and had to call someone else. After the call, the person on the phone said he will fix it and give me a call. But I am still waiting for the call.

Balcanu E22 January 2021 Dear U-Haul and Bladd Perez I’m glad you sent me the link to the survey asking about my experience at U-Haul the end of December 2020. To say the least, it was unpleasant and to say it more expressly, it was downright unacceptable for any human to be treated in the manner I was treated, specifically by Ms. Hannah Stewart. I’m not sure of the spelling of her name, she wasn’t forthcoming with a business card nor a smile at the time of my interaction with her. My day started normally, my wife dropped me off at U-Haul (West Park on 441), before noon, on her way to the airport where she was flying out of town. I showed my paperwork to a nice young man, Ramon? He spoke with Ms. Stewart and asked me to take a seat saying I’d be next. I watched Ms. Stewart call three people before me, never once even acknowledging me. I admit, I was rude and interrupted her with, “Excuse me”, while she was speaking with the third client. I asked her why I wasn’t being called and pointed to the paperwork sitting on her desk at her right elbow that I’d brought with me. Ramon gave it to her when I arrived. She told me I was rude and she didn’t have to deal with me and she wasn’t going to deal with me. Even when there were no more clients in the shop she wouldn’t even speak to me other than say she didn’t have to speak to me nor give my reservation. Of course, there was no one else there to fill out the paperwork. So I was stuck. Ramon and Ms. Stewart even got into a shouting match with her claiming she didn’t care about customer service and didn’t have to give any service to any customer she didn’t want to speak with for any reason. I had no recourse… I finally had enough and called the phone number as there was no supervisor on hand and nobody to help me. I got a person on the phone, who was appalled at my treatment and called the office to speak to anyone. I heard the phone ringing, nobody would answer. I explained to her the situation and after all that she tells me there is no 10-foot truck to rent to me on the property. I had to laugh as I was reminded of the Seinfeld episode about the guy that reserved a car only to find, when he arrived at the airport, there was no car. The punch line being, “you can make the reservation but you can’t KEEP the reservation!” the young lady on the phone was great and actually gave me $50 credit on my reservation for my problems and her not being able to get anyone in the facility on the phone. So that was that, so I thought. But, like the late night infomercial, “but wait there’s more!” Here I am, no reservation, no way to move the house stuff I needed before tomorrow, the closing date. I ask for a ride home, needless to say, I ended up walking the mile and a half to my home. Of course, I’m handicapped, 65 years old, retired on Medicare, it’s hotter than Hades outside and when I get home it even gets worse. I receive a call; funny I would answer it since I screen my calls from unknown numbers. But, I answered and it was a person at U-Haul letting me know he has a truck for me. Great, except I have to be there in 10 minutes since he closes at 1430 (on a Sunday). Luckily, my car was at home since my wife dropped me off and the rude folks at U-Haul wouldn’t even get me a ride even to another U-Haul, I asked for that, too before I walked out. Nope, no customer service. I got there, rented the truck. I got my stuff moved out and everything came out great, no thanks to U-Haul. So I have included the supervisor on this email, he needs to retrain his employees in customer relations and deescalating a situation maybe giving some personal time and extra remedial attention to Ms. Hannah Stewart. It seems she’s lacking in some basic interpersonal skills like communication, responsibility, accountability, empathy, sympathy, you know common human emotions. She’s young and there’s still time to learn some basic customer service skills and I’m sure she’d be a great representative of your company. I’m sure a 2.5-hour experience to transact a rental that should only take 30 minutes’ maximum, especially since I’d taken my time to do my part. I’d filled out all the paperwork online prior to my arrival including uploading my driver license. This shouldn’t be a common experience when one transacts business, if it was, I think you’d go out of business soonest. As a final parting note here, just to let you know, I won’t be renting anything from your company ever again. I have told all my friends about this experience and I have my kids spreading the word on Facebook. I know I have you quaking in your boots, losing my as well as my family and friends business. Walter MI had a location but nobody was there and there were no trucks. I was directed to another place, far away from my original location and the truck was dirty and they didn’t provide me with a dolly Abe a cart as has been ordered. Terrible service from uhaul. I’m not blaming the gas station or it’s employee. Just uHaul.

Philippe GThis is uhaul, and all you need is a truck safe to operate, reliable, and easy to maneuver. It was not super clean inside and outside, but, it is like a work horse, you should not care about cleanness, you should care whether the horse will have enough strength to work for you. I was utterly happy with the experience to rent, pick up, and return the truck from Marathon gas station. Everything was smooth, and the operator at the gas station processed the paperwork real fast and gave me valuable suggestions. Thank you. Elshad.

Estevan SFirst when we booked it we rented dolly's they don’t have dollys but website booked them. We spent another two hours looking for dollys. We could have found them before we picked up the truck. Wasted our time. The Trucks A/C does not work, the truck smells bad and was not really cleaned. Thank goodness we only used this truck for only 6 hours.

John RTruck was not maintained. Ac dead, no water pump working for a windshield sweeping and after all they used jumper cables to start. And honestly all this I can forget but the fact that I spend a lot of time trying to find someone who can help me turn on the truck.. I drove like 20 miles, and when I tried to start engine- it didn’t works. Battery or alternator or both of them are dead. So it was a worst U-Haul experience ever. Btw when I returned it and tell about all this complications an employee told me that he is just a gas station worker and he will send everything to U haul representative as soon as he would be there and he will immediately call me but no one never reached me out.
