I love renting from Southside Marathon! the people there are so friendly and helpful and this time, there were no U-haul computer systems issues, so it was very quick and easy. if any u-haul branch should receive an award for outstanding service, Pete's Southside Marathon should get one!
Dirk HIt is what it is, an older gas station. People there were super friendly. Use app for reservations, just go inside to pick up, need to go in for key anyways.

savannah BLady at the front was slow and grumpy. U-Haul as a whole needs to do a better job of knowing what’s going on. I ordered a dolly and the location didn’t have one for me to use. Was told U-Haul doesn’t track where they are. So I have to lift things without a dolly which made things very difficult.

Danielle PI am going to call the customer service to put a complaint regarding their behavior and services. It was my first rental from U-Haul and totally unacceptable to me to rent U-Haul for future , because they didn’t give me enough information about rental the truck and returned policy when I booked but when I pickup the truck they were giving me almost 2 hours delay to deliver the truck to me, also without my ID they gave the truck to other party by my name without checking their ID and claimed your truck already picked up and to money out from my bank. Which I found very unprofessional and they don’t want to talk to me about it and lot other stuff. Finally I received the truck at 9:41am and they told me to return by 3:45pm and they said it is their day time to drop off means they count from morning 8am to 3:45pm will be charged a day after 3:45pm will charged 2nd day. I was shocked, because my plan was to use the truck and handover to they 6pm. So I couldn’t finish my job and return on time. Than I have ask my friend to have his truck for rest of my job done.

VASILIOS GWhen I explained to the man I got the truck with only 13 miles to empty and returned it with more than that. All he said is well you should have taken pictures. I told him I did in the app but apparently it didn’t load. Sorry can’t help you is what I got.
CHRISTOPHER BPete was amazing and so very friendly, I plan on coming back and having him service my vehicles as well. His staff was great and he just was the cherry on top. He made sure we knew the process and i absolutely adored the "old timey" feeling.

RANAE CGood: The owner, "Pete" got my tow dolly set up quickly, including noting that one of the chains didn't have the S-hook on it. A U-Haul wrecker/repairman very quickly replaced the chain, and I was on my way. Not so good: Pete was rather obnoxious to me. I used a tire pressure gauge and looked the old abused equipment over. He made repeated comments, "they're fine", "don't worry about that", etc. as I just looked at things. The mechanism that actuated the brakes if the dolly separates from the tow vehicle was severely bent. He asked what I was looking at, and I told him I was looking to see if it could still operate. He responded, "There's nothing wrong with it." I snapped back, "Yes there is, it wasn't made that way." Without saying anything else, he got a prybar and straightened it some. I appreciate that he checked and repaired the equipment. Since I'm the one who will have to deal with an accident, I'm also going to check it myself. Pete should tame his ego and learn to appreciate the second set of eyes.

Duane CPETE'S MAROTHON IN NILES MICHIGAN HAS AN AMAZING STAFF REALLY KIND AND PASSIONATE AND SUPER HELPFUL.
JASON DNormally zero issues renting at this location but this time around was no good. Counter person rented me a unit that was snowed in and couldn’t be hooked up to. Multiple units snowed in. I resolved “my” problem by asking for a different unit and provided her a trailer number that wasn’t snowed in. This was not an active snow event. Units should not be labeled as rentable if they are snowed in and not able to be hooked up too. 45min to rent my trailer. Also all of the unplowed snow made it very difficult to drop off and park trailer. Not just for me but many returns.

GARY DWhen I went to drop the vehicle off I was told if I brought a larger vehicle I would have to go somewhere else to drop it off because he would not accept the vehicle I had took in there so my understanding when you go to drop a vehicle off at a certain location what was designated you should not get a line of BS from the owner of the place how rude would never ever recommend that place to anyone two thumbs down.
