According to both the online hours and the posted hours on-site, the office was supposed to be open, but it was closed when I arrived. I called the number listed on the door, and the representative informed me that they were closed, even though the sign indicated otherwise. I was advised that I could complete everything online to retrieve the keys, but this process turned out to be time-consuming and inconvenient. I then called U-Haul customer service, and the representative I spoke with was surprised to hear the office was closed, as it was supposed to be open during those hours. I must commend the customer service representative for being patient and helpful during the call, as they assisted me in resolving the issue. However, the overall experience was quite frustrating, especially with the cold weather and having to figure everything out over the phone due to the lack of on-site assistance. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to reconsider recommending this location to others.

I will never use UHaul again and will make sure I am vocal about what a scam this is. I picked up the truck with 1/4 tank of gas, returned it with more than 1/4 tank and was charged a $30 fuel service fee and $40 fuel fee. When I called to clarify the charges I was told that the truck was at 3/8 of tank when I picked it up, which is an out right lie. Either the manager is incompetent and can't read a fuel gauge, is part of the UHaul scam. Either way, it cost me the $70 mystery fuel fees plus $30 fuel that I replenished to drive 66 miles. You are thieves, and I will not do business with a company that operates this way.

I rent a uhaul van twice a year for work and normally rent from Timponogos Storage in Heber City, UT. Space place is significantly closer to my home (by over 20 miles) so I decided to give Space Place a shot. What a mistake that turned out to be. The woman at Space Place wouldn't take a reservation from me a month in advance which I thought a bit strange so I went back a little less than a week out and she was able to help me. The check in process was cumbersome as the woman was never trained on how to do her job or she just didn't have any interest in renting Uhauls. I got my van and went to work loading 3500 pounds of magazines into the back of the van. We drove about 2 miles when there was a load thunk from the engine which starting smoking uncontrollably and the van died. I could tell the engine was blown. I called the woman from Space Place and her response from her was that she was out of town and could help me when she got back in 2 hours. Never asked if I was safe or if the van was in a safe place. She could have cared less about my situation. I then called uhaul 800 customer service and things got slightly better. The customer service person said she would send a repair guy to fix the van. I told her I didn't need a repair person as the engine was blown, I need a tow truck not a repair. The repair guy showed up and was very friendly and said he would try to get it started to move it to a safer location, but he was unsuccessful. We then waited for the tow truck but by then our day was shot. They finally towed the van back to Space Place and I went back the next morning and all they had was a 14 ft box truck which is too big for what I need as I deliver to under ground garages to hotels in Park City. After moving the 3500 pounds from the van into the truck I was finally able to get to work. After our work was finished, I went to return the truck at the end of the week. I rent 5 days at a time. Upon return I noticed I was still being charged for the van that broke down. When I asked the woman at Space Place to credit me for the van her response was that she didn't know how to process a refund and told me to call Uhaul. Now, I'm furious and told her she needs to call uhaul and process the credit and I'll come back again when she figures it out. I've never had a worse experience renting a van. I've been renting 5 days a year, twice a year for 15 years. I will never deal with Space Place ever again and now I have to rethink my relationship with Uhaul. I've never tried Penske but maybe its time to give them a shot.

No Rep for Uhaul ( Side job for someone but they offer no assistance ) was hung up 3x by uhaul , Only able to use by mobile app , This took over 2 hrs from time i reserved and got the keys multiple people waited and Could not get the UHAUL service to work as well I will never rent from UHAUL or use this location I definetly recommend not using this location or Uhaul , The onsite person just walked away and left because she had no Idea what to do But wouldnt call the Owner for assistance Multiple people had same issues that I did while i was there for over 2 hours to Get approved for a 2 hour rental Absolutely the worst Experience I have ever had & 0 customer service

I had to use the app to pick up the van. The cell service at the location is horrible and it took 20 minutes to get the app the function and check out the car. That’s wasaayyyyyyy too long. Furthermore, the app itself is poorly designed and there are way too many steps. And to top it all off, it took me another 20 minutes to return the van via the app due to the poor cell coverage. While I like the idea of the self-service, you need to redesign the app and ensure the location has adequate cell coverage.

My experience renting on 09/05 at Space Place Storage, Park City, UT was perfect. Unfortunately, my reservation for 09/04 was never fulfilled because this Park City/Space Place Storage location was closed for Labor Day, despite UHaul online taking and accepting my reservation and me subsequently lining up a move with helpers. This location only has two trucks. The manager was 1 hour and 20 minutes late opening up and then was not there when I returned during office hours. My truck was covered in snow. They need to take this seriously or give it up to someone else local that cares about truck rentals.

I was overcharged $60 for fuel on a 4-hour rental during which I drove a total of 7 miles. However, I added fuel. Good thing I took a photo of the gas gauge/odometer upon rental. I recommend that to avoid overcharging.

Our reservation size had not been returned, took about 47 minutes to get a resolution of an upgrade to a larger size to just get us going. The person who had that size before us had not filled the tank back up so when we received it the gas showed 55 miles until empty. Also paid an extra $10 for an appliance dolly with Strap however they didn't have that type of dolly and offered us two regular dollys in replacement which we declined as only 1 was needed but size and strap were important for our move. Overall Tracy the woman helping us at the location was absolutely wonderful had it not been for her and her positive attitude and great customer service i would have been very upset with how this went.
