william RI picked my truck up after hours so had to use the app to access the keys… It was very difficult to navigate the app and would not let me login so I had to call the one 800 number and was on hold for 15 minutes…all going into my rental time! Overall I was at the site for 45 mins before I was able to get the keys/ truck!

WESLEY CIf you are going to change pick up location, the customer must be notified. My rental van was not at The pick up location that was listed on my reservation, causing a three hour delay. Once we figured out that the van was at a different location. The blanket that I reserved were not in the van.

Kergan CThe truck was the terrible, starting from the top seat raising button did not work, chargers did not work, could not use cruise control as it caused the engine to over rev, ac only worked when the truck speed was above 70+ mph, and by the end of the trip the check engine light had come on. bad equipment
David HIt would be helpful to have a process where the license is uploaded ahead of time and stored to save time and then a picture verification is only needed a time of pick up.

Jason TDo the locations all have public WiFi accessible exterior if rent U-Hauls? I never thought to check. The connections otherwise are slow @ pick up & drop off. Otherwise, everything was great.
SCOTTMICHAEL N- The license plate on my confirmation text did not match the trailer plate they gave me and they just said it didn't matter - Before loading the trailer we needed to sweep out dirt, nuts, bolts and other debris left by the prior renter. This trailer was never cleaned out. - They said the lights worked fine when I tested the brakes and blinkers, I was stopped the next day by a NJ and VA state trooper telling me the left side was completely out. - When trying to back-up the trailer brakes would lock on one side and twist the entire trailer. I could not back up at all the entire time we had the trailer. This was verified by another individual at a rest stop w/ a U-haul trailer who tried to help me figure it out and the drop location confirmed this as well. - It rained the entire trip from NY to VA and EVERYTHING inside the trailer was soaking wet. It was far from sealed. - They told me I just needed to call a local VA U-haul to drop off the trailer, All 3 U-haul locations in the area (less than 5 miles away) said that is not true and my drop location was identified 25+ miles away. - The Customer Svc at 1-800-GO UHAUL were tremendously helpful and arranged for the drop off to be 3 miles away. - I will use U-haul again when I need it, but definitely do not recommend this location in Yorktown Heights, NY.

CHRISTOPHERS AHorrible experience. Waited over 2 hours for pickup with my infant in the car. Paid movers to sit at my house costing more then the U-Haul rental all because of “servers down”. Never again.
Christopher DNever use the U-Haul app for a rental. It seems like it would be convenient — and it should be — but it glitched for me at pick-up and drop-off and made me waste nearly two hours of my day trying to get it to work.

James DThe guys at Spazz Automotive saved the day! We had a reservation to rent a Uhaul from Get It & Go at the Cortlandt Town Center. I had confirmed with the person at GI&G that we would arrive between noon and 2pm to pick up the truck, and he assured me that was fine. I arrived at 1pm and the business was closed. I called the guy on his phone and he said he was in White Plains so he couldn't help us. He didn't even utter the word "sorry." He sounded annoyed and said I should get the uhaul app. Ugh! I was a bit desperate, since the whole day had been planned and coordinated with other people, some at home to take care of my pets, and others at the moving site who were depending on my help. I called several other places and the only one who answered the phone and had a van available was Spazz. The guy there was pleasant and helpful, the van was clean and in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a dependable company to deal with. (Even though the name of the company is a bit regrettable, but also, I must admit, memorable.)

VINCENT DThere was some miscommunication regarding returning the van I rented. As my first rental, I was told by the representative at the location that I just had to just park the van and return the key to the after hours drop off box. I was not aware that I had to log onto the app and start the return process at the site. In event, the UHaul support technician was able to help with the vehicle checkin and ensure that I didn't incur any additional charges.

I found the application to be tremendously slow and was unresponsive throughout the process. What should have been a 5 minute process turned into a 15 to 25 minute process. The application needs to be reviewed for efficiency.
