After only loading uhaul 1/2 way ( all weight was in front and none over the axle) we made it from Florida to Georgia when uhaul blew a tire on the expressway. I let uhaul know that not only the tire had blown out but there was something else that made it happen-I thought it was the leaf spring. After two hours on the side of the expressway, a driver from a tire store showed up with a spare tire. He looked at damage and agreed there was more wrong and we needed a to truck. After 3 more hours, a tow truck came and lifted damaged trailer onto its deck. I checked the wheel that had the blown tire at that time and found it was loose. Not the lug nuts, but the wheel bearing was shot-- and it most likely was when we received the unit. I was told if we wanted to transfer the load ourselves after waiting 5 hours on the expressway, we would be given $100 . I said I was 70 years old with artificial heat valve and would rather have someone else transfer the load. We were told they couldn't tell us when that could happen, so we transferred it ourselves. It cost an Xtra day of travel, $240 in hotel, and an Xtra dinner on the road. So the $100 didn't really cover the inconvenience at all. For the Xtra time it took we were charged $29.68 on top of the regular fee. I will never use a uhaul again, and will advise everyone I know to do the same.

Little confusing in the beginning coul dnot locate my reservation but it all worked out.
