I called to make sure they were open for U-Haul and was advised open until 9pm. Arrived at 4:30pm only to find out the owner was not in and the two people working did not know how to receive a return. The employee called the owner who said I could just leave the key. I was not comfortable with that so he said he would come in in an hour. An hour passed and the owner did not arrive. The employee called him again and he said he wasn’t coming in before 6. I spoke with him on the phone and he said either I leave the key or call U-Haul. Terrible customer service by this site. If you are not able to assist your customers in a timely fashion, and these rentals are not cheap, then maybe you shouldn’t have a U-Haul site.

We had a trailer booked for Thunder Bay pick up then after a terrible call with a scheduling representative the afternoon before pick up we were left with no trailer in Thunder Bay and had to drive two vehicles 3.5 hours to Marathon to pick one up. The scheduling representative was incredibly rude and told me that if I have had negative experiences before than I should have anticipated this happening. We found out after a 10 hour haul that our trailer in fact had absolutely no Dot 3 brake fluid in it and therefore the trailer brakes were not functioning properly.
Marion SJust make sure that the equipment you want to rent is available at the time you wish to pick the equipment up. Make sure it hasn't been rented out from under you within hours of your reserved pick up time.
