The Lacey U Haul at the Custer location in McKinney, TX cheated me. They charged 3 days instead of 1. A Mr. BRADY stated that the price difference would be refunded and never did. Go somewhere else if you must rent from U Haul to move. Inever will.Constance P.

I returned the rental with the same amount of fuel and was charge an additional 3 gallons. I specially told the agent at the location i retuned with the same amount and she decided to charge anyway. I was also charged 14.00 for the safe coverage which Was not part of my reservation. I called to ask about the final charges and nothing was mentioned about the fuel charge. Disappointing I have to call back to ensure the charges were correct!Leslie S.

Overall, good experience. My only comment is not so much related to this location but with the online experience. It seems that some of the things you have to do at pickup (via smart phone) e.g. photos of yourself and driver's license, can done prior to pick up. You end up wasting time doing that when you are trying to get the truck.Carlos C.

My ins agent told me I was covered for any damage to the rental but I felt forced into paying extra for your coverage due to the threat of charging my card immediately for any damage up to the full cost of the truck. That feels like extortion and it's wrong.Laura H.

Fuel tank capacity is no where easy to see. (I now see it on my receipt but couldn't find the capacity while I was trying to replace used fuel) there's a bunch of stickers all over the dash. Add capacity to one of those stickers. It's crappy that the fuel gauge doesn't move with the key on (engine off) to see how full it is while refueling. I put over 1/2 tank of unused fuel back in the truck. Complete waste of $30Cash N.

I have rented uhaul truck, they gave the truck keys after signing agreement, when I entered truck I see that there is some drink cup in cup holder, I left as-is, after driving for few hours I see that there is some sauce bottle under passenger seat, due COVID situation I prefer not to touch those and left as-is while dropping truck. Nextday I was charged with cleaning fee for not removing that drink cup and sauce bottle. I went to manager, he is very rude in response saying they handled over me clean truck On my way back I cautioned one more renter about cleaning he also said there is something left under. Pick up was confusing, I tried to do mobile pickup. When I wasn't sure if I did it right I went to ask for help inside but no one was there. The key to the truck was unlocked so I assumed that it was done correctly. But apparently there were a few steps that needed to be done, and I wasn't aware until AFTER returning the truck. Turns out that the key to the truck I rented was not even locked up, so anyone could have taken it, fortunately I was the one who did so I wouldn't recommend this location. If you yell at someone for taking the keys maybe make sure the keys are secured in the first place. I never rented a u-haul before and as stressful as the move was to begin with, I don't believe that I'd want to ever rent a u-haul (from this location again)Rebecca J.

I got my truck quickly and the guy was friendly so from that stand point the location gave me a way better experience than a typical u haul. However I drove to a building less than 400 feet away and made two trips to a dumpster maybe 200 feet from there before returning the truck. I didn't refill the gas because I really didn't go anywhere. According to his reading it said I went two miles. I didn't go more than a quarter mile yet I was charged $7 for gas because the needle (which shouldn't have moved at all) was apparently not all the way touching the F for full according to him. I was give. The chance to get gas but I was low on time. Either way I'll just rent a Penske Truck from Home Depot from now on. I drove much further in one of those and wasn't given a bogus charge. I'm sure it's your policy more than his fault so I'm not using u haul again.Timothy B.

I submitted a complaint yesterday but have not been contacted. My phone and email are on file in my contract. These events have NOTHING to do with this location. The location was great, but the actual Uhaul website kept returning errors all day and was giving the rep at the location problems too. When returning the truck, I went through the entire return process to get an error when trying to submit. Everything was great, except the Uhaul check in and check out process on their website, which was a nightmare and wasn't working.David L.
