Battery died twice and then completely. Slow response time.
Amanda PNancy in reservations was extremely helpful on a Sunday where no one was on site. Easy process and very genuine, kind and timely communication & assistance from the 1800 number- which i’ll admit I didn’t have a lot of confidence in on a weekend and I couldn’t find the u-haul reserved for me. First time using U-haul and will certainly use again in future moves.

Paul HThe key return lock box is not secure! I locked the truck and dropped the key in the “lock box/mailbox”, then realized I needed to complete my return check list, record mileage, parking brake, etc. The box was loose, all I had to do was flip it around and the keys fell out. With fingers crossed, after completing the checklist, I dropped the keys back in the black box. Other than that, the personal and experience was great.
maureen vThe truck was dirty, had a cracked engine, rough running engine, and died of a dead battery at first stop leaving the location. The people from the local location and regional manager refused to help solve the situation and provide or arrange roadside service.

Toni MI didn't want to use this Uhawl company after reading the terrible reviews but it was next to my house so for convenience I had to because i didn't have my vehicle to go to the Uhawl in Bellevue. Service was not only slow but the dolly I requested was not provided with the truck i rented. So by the time I noticed when I got to my home the Uhawl company was already closed because they close at 1pm on a Saturday. It wasn't fun having to move my entire house in the middle of August without a dolly. lazy employees that don't know how to do their job. The one employee who was working moved like a turtle especially when he had 3 people waiting in line including me.
Autumn bWent to. pick up truck to find it had been rented out till 4pm... I specifically told Colin I was picking up at 9am.... Then after I got truck off lot, I found one of the front tire was worn bald..... I was driving truck and dolley from Idaho to Phoenix I couldn’t believe tire was so poorly maintained.... This could be life threatening... Had the tire exploded..... I called the main office to voice complaint.Only to be told, they couldn’t help me. This is a horrible way to treat customers.....
korey aYou should rent out your receiver hitches as well if one is required especially if for those visiting and have a rental car....WHY WOUKD YOU REQUIRE THEY BE PURCHASED!!?!? Not acceptable.
Greg CUHAUL is TERRIBLE!!!! On my arrival day, Saturday on Labor Day weekend, driving into Hailey, I get a call from UHAUL telling me that the drop off facility will be closed for the rest of the weekend and on Monday, my scheduled drop off day, and I need to either take the truck to Shoshone, about 1 1/2 hrs away, or drop off the truck within just a couple of hours that day - impossible as I was just coming into town and hadn’t even got to the residence to unload. They said that if I left the truck at my scheduled drop off location on Monday it would be towed and I would be charged. We were flying out on Monday morning and dropping the truck in Shoshone about 1 1/2 hours away with no way to get back to Hailey to the airport was AGAIN my problem. Your company is so incredibly incompetent. People depend on the arrangements you agree to and when you totally fail and leave customers stranded, you get a big fat “F”

Collett PNo personality at all. The young man that helped me was ok, but the lady was flat out cold. I bought some extra boxes and wrap just because it says on the boxes, that Uhaul will buy back what we don’t use... not the case here. I brought back one large box and one unopened roll of wrap and she told me they don’t do buybacks. Seems if they are a U-Haul location they should follow U-Haul policies. Won’t be using them again.

David KBefore I picked up the vehicle the two customer experience individuals who called me were incredibly rude and unhelpful when there was a change in my vehicle and the pick-up location.
Emily EThis location tried to cancel my reservation 2 hours before I had to pick up the trailer I had reserved Prior. I was not aware they had a 24 hour rental limit Because of covid but was somehow still able to place a reservation. This location did not offer any other types of options, didn’t tell me what was possibly available in their ware house until they gave me Elenas number. She helped explore different options with me, helped check and see what was available at other locations until a supervisor over road the hailey locations 24 hour hold limit. Once we were able to pick up our trailer we waited about 10 minutes to get buzzed into their gated garage, when my boyfriend went back into the office to ask the lady at the front desk to let us he saw that she had been watching us sit in our car In front of the gate through the window. When she finally let us in the man that helped us attach the trailer never gave us any sort of instructions on what we should do when driving A trailer which he is supposed to know more of than we did. Once we pulled out of the facility I heard a loud pop come from te trailer and we pulled over only to realize that some chains weren’t connected and they were dragging on the pavement. To call this experience one of the worst of my life is an absolute understatement. I was treated poorly and offered no solution over the phone about 2 hours before I had to start loading my trailer and the man whose only job is to properly secure a trailer for customers “forgot” to attach one of 5 connections and for some reason couldn’t offer any sort of advise to best drive with a trailer. I will never use this location ever again. Luckily I was able to tow my entire home where I had to go and for that I am incredibly grateful to have used Uhauls services but this specific location was a nightmare to work with. No one can ever make up for the emotional turmoil that this facility put me through but I am glad that there are other uhaul employees that are able to improve my experience.
Christina CI reserved a 10-foot truck but weeks in advance, but on the day before I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle I was notified that only a 15-foot truck was available--or I could drive 200 miles to pick up the smaller vehicle. U-Haul made no apparent effort at the time I made the reservation to state that I was making a request for a vehicle, and not in fact reserving a vehicle. That is, U-Haul did not make clear in any manner that it is in their sole discretion whether to provide the vehicle which the customer has reserved. With such late notice of the unavailability of the vehicle I reserved I was left with no option but to accept the substitute equipment . I did not feel comfortable driving the larger vehicle and I was required to pay substantially more in fuel costs for the 15-foot truck. I regret that U-Haul does not make its "reservation" policies more transparent and thus provide the customer with adequate time to make alternative arrangements if the reservation made in good faith cannot be honored.

Starrie HThe online pick up needs ALOT of work I would tell people to skip it the whole thing was badly constructed from start to finish. Also if there were phone calls that were needed to be made to contacts you absolutely need to say so well before the pickup as NO One is going to know that and the renter needs to tell people they are renting and going to get a call from some Strange number and NO One will answer their cell phone from a strange number anymore. So we had to go inside anyway! Total fail then we dropped it off there was limited cell service to finish The questions it kept dropping the form we were there over 25 minutes and finally just left the keys

charlie wPerson at desk would not even get up to greet much less inspect vehicle and additional items rented. I went out of my way to clean, fill and fold blankets putting into original bag. I guess the interaction was minimal and did not really cost me anything, but could have been cordial, not so stand offish, regardless of this Covid-19 situation.
Arturo GThis is a very convenient location. I called ahead to get instructions regarding any special procedure for dropping off the truck. They could have been more specific about their desired process and where to park the vehicle. I was surprised when they asked me to re-park the truck on the street (vs in their lot) because "they didn't want to touch it for quite some time".

Robert PThe Bellevue drop off decided to close early on a Saturday. They refused to accept my drop off at the scheduled drop off time. This forced me to have to reorganize my move without any of their assistance.
