Reserved at Place A, week later, learn A doesn't have my trailer, must go to Place B (farther away). O.K., I can deal with this. Get to Place B on day of rental, takes a really long time to process paperwork. Clerk could not get my card (which I use a few times, every day, and NEVER have a problem with) to go through, try a 2nd card, same problem, she calls someone, another 15 min. goes by, finally card is accepted. I am told where my trailer is (around back, marked with cone), no training whatsoever provided. My receiver hitch was too high (never received a "recommended height"), fixed this when I got home, chains were really long, practically touching the road, figured out on my own how to shorten them, was not shown "keep door latched open" mechanism, had to figure this out on my own, etc. Also, after running credit card through, went to electric gate, to get into backyard, sat there for ten more minutes, turns out there was some sort of problem with the gate (!), waited until clerk finally came out, punched in something right at the gate, it then opened and we were able to get around bac to our trailer. Also, while at counter, was given no paperwork of any kind, no receipt, nothing. Everything was sent via email and when I got home, there must have been 6 emails from U-Haul, including a contract that was 1,000 pages long (dopey lawyers must have had a field day with that document). Among the documents were 3 separate emails, with my initial receipt (strange, and a bit worrisome, got me thinking maybe my card was charged 3 times, which it turns out, it wasn't, I think). Used trailer for a couple days, returned it on a Sunday, just left it in parking lot, slightly worried something would happen to it between Sun. and Mon. (it didn't). All in all, not a cohesive, efficient rental process. As big as U-Haul is, I would think the system would be a well-oiled machine by now. I will need a similar trailer for a few days again, in about 3 weeks. I will probably take a deep breath and go back to this place but this time, will not expect the well-oiled machine based on this first rental. You asked, so these are my comments.

CHRISTOPHER TVehicle was clean and ran well. Idiot light showed low tire pressure but tire had correct air in it. U-Haul was aware of problem for over a month but chose not to fix. I would still rent from this location again.

Yaroslav MWe stopped in there to inquire and the person by the counter was fabulous. She acted like we had been friends forever but was genuine. Same when we picked it up. I believe it may have been the owner but he helped us jack the trailer up since it sat so low and was just really nice!

JAMES Awe were charged extra before dropping off here, even though this was the address on our rental agreement. The gentleman here said he did not have the paperwork and that’s why we had to pay extra and that we should call customer service, but he did not have the U-Haul customer service number.

DOUGLAS SNo one was there the morning the trailer was dropped off. I had to unhook it by myself. I am 71 and injured my back because it was too heavy and didn’t have a trailer jack. Most women would not have been able to disconnect the trailer due to its weight. Very poor situation. I’ll be speaking to my attorney this week.
