The only negative was, that I picked up the vehicle with 1/2 tank of fuel, returned it with the same level of fuel and was charged $12.95 for fuel. The assistant was trying to remove the charge however, the program would not allow it. I will be contacting UHaul to remove this charge.Joe D.
I spent 4 hours driving to 5 different locations making reservations for trucks and having the person rent out truck I RESERVED right as i got there, but finally found one at this location. Overall the guy was nice but kept saying how expensive it would be to drop truck off at a more convinent location like ive done many times in the past. Once i got in the truck i was desperate to get my stuff moved as i had a small window to have the stuff moved, but immediately was hit with the smell of cigarettes which i absolutely cant stand so had the windows down in the pouring rain. A rental should be clean and smell good, not like a 50 year old man that doesnt shower and smokes a pack a day owns it. Overall not happy with Uhaul anymore as i was told from the 4 other locations that the location they were sending me to was holding the truck i needed for me. False promises only get you so far. Ill be taking this to social media to let other people know of this hassle i had to deal with and to take business elsewhere. All these inconviences and i still paid the premium simply cause i was on a time crunch.Brandon W.

My original location did not have a working lock to get the key after hours, you then sent me to a dark hole in the wall gas station to pick up another and while in route changed my truck size from 15' to 10' causing us to use more trips and mileage. When I got the truck the front driver tire was near flat and I had to fill it at another gas station with a working air pump while raining. It took five gas stations before we actually found a working air pump. I should have been compensated for the extra mileage due to a smaller truck than requested, but it wasn't the gas stations fault for the problem, the U-Haul support tech who schedule us to go to them confirm my reference number and said they had a same size available. But when we got there that truck had been rented out for the next day and U-Haul switched me to the smaller 10' without me or the gas station knowing. Also, the ghetto gas station clerk, very nice, but had no idea how to run the U-Haul stuff and had to call her boss. This was a HORRIBLE experience to say the least.Nicholas W.

The online process was not great; I kept getting timed out. The original truck and location that I started biking was suddenly unavailable after I entered my credit card information. The online chat wasn't working. The service at the location I found was great. He was very nice and helpful.Gina P.

I would not recommend this location to anyone. The person who rented me you uhaul inside gas station was not very helpful and challenging to work with. As soon as I left the station with uhaul all of the problems began, I noticed there was a discrepancy between the amount of fuel needed to return on my contract and the pre trip sign out thing on app. I called the store and he informed me someone probably broke into it the night before and took gas out of it. I attempted to call u haul 3 times and they were having phone issues. When I went to fill it up for the end of the night, that's when fuel started pouring out of it so I stopped immediately. Someone when stealing gas, had done damage to the fuel line. This gas station was very unhelpful and ended up charging me extra for things out of my control. I did everything I could to get it back early in order to not leave my personal vehicle there overnight as I didn't trust that it would be safe there.Cole S.

STOP charging for a two day rental and two days of insurance, when I only had the truck for less than a day (24hours)! Not sure if this is a uhaul practice or that particular locations business model. Not to mention you guys didn't have my truck after a week long reservation! I reserved a truck for 9am and ended up with one at 3pm! I lost almost all of my free help and had to pay movers!!! Very very disappointed to say the least!Timothy A.

Front right tire was low and it stated that when I got in the car the sales person at the store just said oh it's just a sensor out and I ended up putting a 40 pounds of pressure in there. The inside of the truck was dirty as well as the cab inside of the truck had old Packing sheets still in the truck.Cynthia B.
The gas cap was unscrewed upon initial inspection of the truck. I took a pic and told the rep. She said they have people (steal) siphon has at night. When I started the truck the gas gauge read less than 3/4 tank. I took a pic. The rep sd to just bring it back with the same amount. I only drove six miles and put gas in before returning. I used the mobile app to check in and out. The app charged my card $45 for gas. I was told to call customer service when I did it was a 20 min wait. I couldn't be on hold that long. The issue is still NOT resolved.Thomas M.
I think this location needs to provide better customer service in providing information to customers about the process, such as getting a text to do a walk around. I was basically asked questions, which could have been explained as â€œverifying the rental,â€ but it just felt like the rental wasn't set up. Then I was handed the key and told to look for the truck. There was no mention about the text to walk around the truck so I took a video of the mileage and state of the truck. It was dirty inside the cab, which nowadays with COVID was disappointing. It clearly had not been wiped down. I basically was emailed a contract with no idea any of the details like miles, gas, and mileage which is something that's standard with uhaul. This location was disappointing but I think could get better with training.Meg S.

Neither of the two workers were wearing masks. This is a gas station, and most customers didn't wear them either. Separately, the person on the phone said it was located in Snohomish, not Storm Lake. The location was much past Snohomish with hilly backcountry roads.Ryan V.

The customer service was great but whoever rented the truck before me used it to take horse â€œmessâ€ to the dump and no one bothered to check the back. The truck was junk too but I don't blame the girls at the store. When I voiced my opinion about those they seemed very concerned and even wrote down everything I said. Although in the U-haul app I chose the location to pick-up the truck in Monroe. When I got there, they said that the pickup was reserved in Snohomish (6 miles from Monroe) that counting back and forth increased 12 miles in the final bill. Besides loosing time. Owner of the store was helpful and did his best to accommodate me even though my phone died and wouldn't charge for some reason. Eventually I got my phone to charge and was on my way. I never felt like I was a pain to anyone and felt very appreciated at the end of everything. Also they let me park my car there on the side of the building for almost 3 days.Janel H.
I tried to login online, pay in advance, and sign in for pick up before arriving. Still took about 1 hour to get my 6x12' U-Haul. The service person had to delete me and then have me reapply for the rental. I was charged twice some how?( just got refunded for 1 charge). Finally got my U-Haul trip finished and tried to drop it off that night. My app/ account had no record of me having a U-Haul, thus I could not drop it off. The next morning I spent 1 hour on the phone with customer service to "sort it out and get a refund for 1 of the charges". They finally gave me a drop off location In the middle of no where. A small gas station about 10 miles outside of town, when they were better and closer options. When I arrived at the drop off location they asked me if I was at the wrong location. They were not expecting a drop off. After about 20 minutes of confusion and their computer software not working they told me its fine and I can go. I did finally get an email saying the return was completed. I'm not sure where the problems came from or why it was so difficult, as every person I talked to seemed to have no idea what was going on. The people I worked with were pretty decent for the most part, maybe the software/ website for U-Haul is obsolete. Either way, when loading several thousand pounds of metal tools in and out of a trailer by my self was the easiest part of the U-Haul experience, some thing is seriously wrong with- U-Haul.JUSTIN SAMUEL K.

it took an hour to go through the rental process due to some computer issue. i ordered the furniture pads which was supposed to be 12. they gave me a "wad" of pads, i should have known better but trying to be trusting and in an extreme hurry due to the massive delay in the rental i just took them at left. then when i un crumpled them i found i was only given 7 not the 12 i paid for not a big deal for the move as i was only moving a single bedroom set. so when i returned the truck i informed the counter person i was only given the 7 he said he would take care of it. i stood there for a minute he said he was too busy to check the truck back in and would do it later, this did not make me comfortable but what could i do so i left. this was around 1130 am. when i got my email at like 8 pm and was charged for "missing" pads that i never received i was very upset. all this because i thought i would be better to rent a truck then risk moving in the rain. 170 bucks i should have just moved in my pick up i wouldnt have had to have such a sour taste from such highway robbery. i have used you guys many many ties over the years this was the worst experience yet. i can understand the cost of renting a truck has to increase with the passage of time but the extra fees and charges, lack of anything resembling customer service and the feeling of being baited and switched. reservation says 60 actual 170. i real did walk away feeling very sore from this experience. maybe you should give x number of miles with the truck rental price then charge such crazy per mile charges after that. i have installed and serviced the internet at so many of your locations but now i dont know i may have refuse to roll to these jobs in the future after being treated so poorly.siddhartha D.

I have consistently rented U-Haul equipment and purchased U-Haul equipment/supplies in two states for over 45 years. I think this qualifies me as a loyal customer. I have generally been very satisfied with your products and services. However, as a result of this rental experience, I am deeply disappointed and upset. I'm not certain that anyone actually reads these reviews, so I am copying this response and sending it to U-Haul Corporate in Phoenix, AZ. I conduct a volunteer service wherein I and other volunteers assist people with their relocation needs; these are people who are alone, widowed, divorced, elderly, displaced, etc. and they do not have the means or ability to adequately help themselves. Such a need arose requiring a last-minute rental ( the subject of this e-mail). I have most often rented trucks from U-Haul of Everett, WA, 6443 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203. So I reached out to that location to reserve a 15' truck for 10-31-20. The counter -person (female) who assisted me was very pleasant, but she advised me that no 15' trucks were available...nor were there any 17' trucks...and only one 10' truck. It was supposedly available at Bones Automotive, 1215 3rd Street, Marysville, WA 98270. I reserved it for pick-up on 10-31-29 at 10:00 AM; I received a rental confirmation by e-mail. I then confirmed arrangements with my 'customer' and the team of volunteers whom I had coordinated to help with the move. And then things fell apart. The truck was NOT at the Marysville location as promised, and the proprietor was less than helpful... sympathetic, but not helpful. He suggested I call a special customer service number (206) 395-2749. I ultimately did call, but before that I called the cell phone number of the General Manager of U-Haul of Everett, Crystal Cedeno. She had provided her card to me during another rental from that location recently wherein they gave me a truck that was not acceptable; it had a punched ignition and the emergency brake would not release. She gave me another truck along with her card and assured me that I should call her with any future concerns. Obviously, this was an insincere gesture. When I called her cell phone number (from her business card), she became abrupt with me and would not help in any manner. Her response to me was, "Why are you calling me? And who gave you this number? I can't help you." I reminded her that SHE had given me the number, and since I am a frequent customer at her facility, I thought I could get help. Not so! Not even any empathy or understanding, or "Gee, I'm sorry Mr. Dalton. Let me see how I might help you." VERY DISAPPOINTING! So in desperation I called the customer service number. The man who answered located a 10' truck at Storm Lake Grocery in Snohomish, WA. This pick up location added 29 additional miles (round-trip) to my rental fees (instead of 11 miles I had anticipated). It also delayed me by 1.5 hours meeting my team and getting the move started. FRUSTRATING...AGGRAVATING...AND VERY DISAPPOINTING. And the customer service rep did not mention the $50 rental guarantee described on your website if the reservation fails. I brought this up, and I have now been told that this $50 will be added to my CC within 3-5 days. We'll see... This rental cost me $79.52. I request that this total amount be reimbursed to me because of the inconvenience, delays, confusion, poor treatment, and unnecessary costs I incurred. Please advise at your earliest . The Lake Stevens rental office tried twice to force me to go out to their location which was a lot more out of the way, I already had to go 16 miles out of my local area to rent a truck. Nothing was available at any of the multiple locations and I booked in advance.Mari C.

If we order 4 dozen blankets, then MAKE SURE THERE ARE BLANKETS ON THE TRUCK. We spend moving day hunting for blankets. Also, just because we are in the same county, that doesn't mean we are anywhere near the pick up location. Both the pickup and dropoff location were changed by the company, with only one for of communication, and less that 24 hours of service. That required my time and resources and travel much further for something I had school over a week an advance. Also, the drop off took almost an hour, as we waited for about 20 minutes before anyone even showed up. When we called the to see if there was a truck we needed at a closer pickup location, we were on hold for 40 minutes for a less than 10 minute conversation that got us nowhere. I am VERY displeased with your services, and am very likely to not recommend uhaul, but anyone else!Michael B.

When I picked up my rental I was not given a copy of my contract, I paid for my rental and was told I was good to go. I had to ask him to back me up to hook up the trailer. Then upon inspection of the trailer I found 2 of the tires were bald and missing chunks of tread. He told me not to worry about that and he would get it fixed after I returned it. That trailer never should have been rented to me, it was not safe for the road.Ingrid W.

The truck had footprints on the dashboard indicating no cleaning had been done- given that COVID-19 is rampant I think it's unconscionable that no additional protective measures are taken. Also the location did not have the furniture dolly that I reserved and had No way to correct that except tell me to call a UHAUL rep, which I did. It took me 20 minutes to wait time to talk to a human, and when I said the location didn't have the furniture dolly, she said â€œthat's because someone else is using it.â€ No apology, no reparations just oh well. I was moving out of a building on the 3rd floor and we really needed a dolly.Melissa F.
We had a very poor experience. After having a poor experience with U-haul the week before that caused us to miss our moving time and date, we had hoped that this time would be better. It was not. The cashier was unable to help us. We needed to pay with another card number. He could not change the account card. We also wanted to use the gift certificate that the Ditrict Manager, Kevin Levon provided us, but the store clerk said he was unable to take the gift certificate. Very poor experience.Raylin L.

For a mobile pickup experience, this location needs to supply WiFi! The store is pretty remote and doesn't have good cell phone reception, so trying to upload drivers license images over a poor data connection kept failing and the truck rental process took me almost 20 minutes.Mark P.

My original reservation was in Monroe, WA. It was moved to this location due to availability of trucks for one-way trips. They did not love me to the closest uhaul location. This location was a full 40 minutes further away than the the Fuel Stop in Snohomish. When I arrived the man there didn't have any of my reservation information. He didn't have the appliance dolly or furniture blankets I had included in my reservation. The truck had puddled water inside the door grip. So that when I reached out to pull the door closed I stuck my fingers into cold and stale water. Water that i had no idea how long it had been there. The driver door was able to close enough to be latched. However I noticed, while approaching the door, that it didn't sit all the way into the frame of the cab. While at this location. I was disappointed with the service and the fulfillment of my reservation. I called the uhaul representative Brian. Brian was only moderately helpful. He was unapologetic about the lack of tools for my reservation. He did direct me to the Fuel Stop in Snohomish for the appliance dolly. A location that was 20 minutes closer to Monroe. When I arrived at the Fuel Stop. They were helpful and sympathetic. However I was required to fill out reservation paperwork to get the appliance dolly. As if I was renting a truck. At this point I had spent 90 minutes picking up my reservation that was only supposed to take 15 minutes. As I had done the online check-in previously. That 90 forced my entire day of moving to be delayed and extended. Therefore I was unable to make all of the scheduled time I had and was required to drive additional distances on Saturday that would have been avoided had your company fulfilled the reservation that it indicated it would be able to do.Robert L.

The first worker who greeted us snarled at us saying we were a half hour early. When I corrected her and she checked the records she stomped off to get another worker, never apologizing for snapping. The other worker was also rude, never pointed out which truck was ours and explained nothing of u-hauls expectations. We were made to feel as if we were in their debt, not that we were a customer who deserved at least a modicum of respect. When the truck was returned and the difference on the gas guage was barely noticeable (we have pictures), we were then charged $68 for them having to pump gas and fill it. This location was unprofessional, rude, unkempt and didn't seem to know what the phrase customer service means. I will not only not return to this location but I will warn others away from it.Kelly R.
