No issue at pick up

RICKY BThe location was wonderful and really the only good throughout this situation. The overall experience with U-Haul was horrendous, and has made me never want to use them as a service ever again. U-Haul rented me a truck that wasn’t at the location, and didn’t even have the decency to call me to let me know. Thankfully, the manager on site was able to provide a larger truck to me at the same cost. U-Haul also quoted me $45 and then the final bill was four times that amount. U-Haul as a service is a scam. Be careful using this service.
Zach TNo one on site knows how to hook up a trailer. I was given a piece of paper with the trailer number handwritten on it. Found the trailer and hooked it up myself. Good thing I had done it before.
GARY FTrailer was Not the one I was first told I would have. It looked clean, however there was No where to secure tie downs on sides- only 6 floor hooks & it smelled like weed. We had to wipe down the whole inside with Clorox wipes to try to get rid of the smell. The trailer itself handled well.

Eric SGot our drop off location switched out to another location that ended up putting us about an hour out of our way to drop off. Got to the location around 7pm and staff was nowhere to be found at first. Ended up finding a person later but she couldn't be bothered to check me out, just told me to use the app. I get it's not the locations primary business, but they had no other customers at that point. Do your job people.

BILL RAfter a chaotic morning with other U-Haul location runarounds and two hours into the mess of locating a vehicle after ours was not returned from the previous renter, the Storm Lake location/employee got us on he road with the best customer service we have had from U-Haul in the last 6 years. For those that will continue to rent from U-Haul: Our first rental was not available, the customer had returned it to another city. We were sent to another U-Haul location and that truck had a shattered passenger side door due to a rock that was thrown at it (into it), but luckily for us, there was one more truck available that no one had rented, yet. Pay attention to the details because the employees at some, do not! It was an experience as though you are 'hoping' they will take your money! Thank you Storm Lake customer Service, you made a challenging day better. It only took us 7 hours to move three pieces of furniture. You provided consistent customer service! [U-Haul overall, might want to consider reviewing it's policies and practices around rental equipment].

Jeremy LIt was a mess from the beginning: 1. Booked a pick up truck on line. 2. Got a call saying the nearest truck was 30 miles away! No trucks on my area, tho’ I’ve rented them before. 3. Booked a small truck van. Only going to the dump 7 miles away and just needed it a couple hours. Explained this to customer service rep. 4. Estimated use when I picked up the van was $120. Called customer service and they said reservation was for 2days. I had made it clear only wanted a couple of hours. 5. Picked up van, very dirty inside cab. 6. When refueling to get the gauge up to the required mark, turned on the auxiliary setting, which DOES NOT accurately show fuel gauge, so added way more gas than owed. 7. Returned van and was charged over $75 which included a fuel charge. 8. Had to call customer service again to get this cleared up. 9. Finally charged the correct amount of around $58. A hassle the entire way. I will not be using U-Haul again. Will call the “Got Junk” guys and save the headache.
Kathryn GYou guys litterally screwed me out of money for no reason while being not helpful at all I will never use uhaul again and have used you 4 times in the last year. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. You would not help me change my drop of location or give me a quote. I will never recomend you to anyone and feel that I am entitled to compensation

tuasoc sLook up my phone number and look at the history of this messed up uHaul order. UHaul disregarded where i setup for pickup, then sent me to another location 45 mins away from my home that apparently had the only 15ft uHaul available. Get there early in the morning only to find out they never had the uHaul. They also didnt have me in for an appointment to pick it up. Also, i had to return uHaul to same location. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. So much wasted time, money, and gas. I was given false information by two uHaul stores and your customer service. I dont plan on using uHaul again or recommending you to family and friends.
Logan RNot a thing I needed a trailer last minute they provided and there wasn't another rental till the next day so since I got here late to pick it up they allowed me to keep it a bit longer no hassle, they were very kind and understanding 2thumbs up

BRYAN MWell, the location itself was fine, BUT the truck we rented had a gigantic gash in the top right corner and of course it started pouring rain so EVERYTHING we own got absolutely soaked by the steady stream of water gushing in. We paid over $1000 to have our property ruined. Thanks, uhaul.

Robert SThere was no key drop box, which meant we had to call customer service for assistance & ended up having to return again the following day to drop off the key… that made the return probably 2 hours longer (total… 1 hour trying to find the key drop when we dropped the truck off, another hour round trip to return the following day) than it otherwise would have been.

David BDimensions of trailer ramps and platform did not work. had the rental for less than 30 min and returned. Would have preferred a credit or the ability to get one that worked for a discount. Charged full rate for 30 min.
Andrew EI was relocated from my original drop off. I arrived at the original drop off and they told me their lot was full and I had to go to another location. Which meant that I had to eat the mileage and gas of driving to another spot. I was told this after I arrived.
CORY MTruck was not cleaned and had almost 8 inch of snow all over and wind shield was full of ice. Took me 45 mins to clean and drive from there. I was not prepared for cleaning and had no gloves and shoes. Very disappointed, never expected from uhaul, very bad experience.

Kathy LThe only negative was, that I picked up the vehicle with 1/2 tank of fuel, returned it with the same level of fuel and was charged $12.95 for fuel. The assistant was trying to remove the charge however, the program would not allow it. I will be contacting UHaul to remove this charge.
Joe DI spent 4 hours driving to 5 different locations making reservations for trucks and having the person rent out truck I RESERVED right as i got there, but finally found one at this location. Overall the guy was nice but kept saying how expensive it would be to drop truck off at a more convinent location like ive done many times in the past. Once i got in the truck i was desperate to get my stuff moved as i had a small window to have the stuff moved, but immediately was hit with the smell of cigarettes which i absolutely cant stand so had the windows down in the pouring rain. A rental should be clean and smell good, not like a 50 year old man that doesnt shower and smokes a pack a day owns it. Overall not happy with Uhaul anymore as i was told from the 4 other locations that the location they were sending me to was holding the truck i needed for me. False promises only get you so far. Ill be taking this to social media to let other people know of this hassle i had to deal with and to take business elsewhere. All these inconviences and i still paid the premium simply cause i was on a time crunch.

Melissa VHow about getting a little more real on the one-way pricing? I had to dead head the trailer from Great Falls MT to Snohomish WA or else take a $900.00+ charge for dropping the thing off in Great Falls. I feel like I was raped!

Mitchell GMy original location did not have a working lock to get the key after hours, you then sent me to a dark hole in the wall gas station to pick up another and while in route changed my truck size from 15’ to 10’ causing us to use more trips and mileage. When I got the truck the front driver tire was near flat and I had to fill it at another gas station with a working air pump while raining. It took five gas stations before we actually found a working air pump. I should have been compensated for the extra mileage due to a smaller truck than requested, but it wasn’t the gas stations fault for the problem, the U-Haul support tech who schedule us to go to them confirm my reference number and said they had a same size available. But when we got there that truck had been rented out for the next day and U-Haul switched me to the smaller 10’ without me or the gas station knowing. Also, the ghetto gas station clerk, very nice, but had no idea how to run the U-Haul stuff and had to call her boss. This was a HORRIBLE experience to say the least.

The online chat wasn't working. The service at the location I found was great. He was very nice and helpful.
