To improve on the next customer I would say to have the dolly’s they ordered provided and if not available taken off their bill.

John WI ordered my truck from a different location but had to pick it up and drop it off at least 5 miles further from my selection, which means extra mileage I had to pay for. The seat was broken on an angle and the mirrors only stayed completely out or all the way folded in. It was dangerous to drive. I didn't have time to get another because I had movers booked to meet me. It was filthy on the inside and degree kept flying off of it to vehicles behind me because the passenger side tires looked like someone went off reading in the mud. The stowaway storage facility were I had to get it from was great., however the truck was a nightmare. Very unsafe.

MICHAEL TThe truck that we rented was horrible, It had an extreme exhaust leak which made me and my partner very sick, to the point of almost vomiting,we both had very bad head aches and soar throats. I was going to call your company on Monday to see about getting a discount of having my payment re-emburst. Even today we arent feeling well.

Andrea TI ordered furniture pads and a dolly in addition to the truck. When I arrived, neither the pads or dolly were there and this location had neither one. I was told I would have to drive the truck to another uhaul location and ask them for these items. So I drove there, incurring mileage that I had to pay for, and find out the other location had a dolly but no furniture pads. I would have to drive to yet another location to see if they had them. I was not going to waste more time, and be charged with more mileage, to find out if they had pads so I did my move using my own towels. Ridiculous!
Robert BThe rental pickup was smooth. The clerk showed us the box truck and recommended jiggling the key if it doesn’t turn easily in the ignition. The box truck had over 102k miles on it, so there was some wear and tear. It worked well for our purposes.
Thomas Sattendant was rude and annoyed at my question about how I was to obtain the key on the day I was supposed to rent (a sunday, when no employee would be there). He said 'Its on the truck". That doesnt tell me anything. I said "Where on the truck"? His next reply was "in the back". That also doesnt tell me how to obtain the key. After a deep sigh, I was able to coax out of him that there is a combination lock on the back. When I told him that I had called and revised my reservation to add pads, he said "I dont have pads". I then drove to another uhaul location on 25th street in easton, PA and he told me the same thing. So, I had to call uhaul again and have the pads removed (if your gonna bombard people with upselling on pads and other accoutrements, you really ought to have them on hand) When the time came to pick up the rental, I was late and the app said the rental was expired (WHY?). Your app sucks. The scanning feature of the back of the drivers license doesn't work and doesn't allow one to go back to the prior screen. The person I spoke do on the phone didnt want to answer any questions either. She just kept telling me to watch the video she sent. A video which i was unable to maximize due to the way it was embedded in the horrible app. Then, the instructions to obtain the combination for the lock were bizarre. The lock was called a "compartment". So, the combination to the lock was called "compartment code" and the code was an actual word "BANK". So, it read as "compartment code - BANK". This is not intuitive at all as far as telling someone the combination to a lock, which also by the way is usually numbers, not letters, and never an actual word. The lever on the lock was almost impossible to move. The truck would not start. the key WOULD NOT TURN. I tried everything and then, as a last resort,, I disengaged the emergency break and miraculously, it started (never in my life knew a vehicle which required the emergency break to be disengaged before starting. Then, after we had loaded the truck, and were ready to head home, again the key would not turn. This time, the emergency break was not engaged. I tried everything again and by chance, I put in key in about 90% of the way , rather than all the way in, and it started. This whole adventure was one big stressful mind f*ck, starting off with a slow moving, surly employee at the location on ***** road. nevermind all the attempted upselling and bizarre wording about "immediately remimburse Uhaul for the cost of a 25,000 truck" if you dont opt for the upsell on the insurance. 99% of people would have given up and cancelled. I hadnt even mentioned the absurdity of having to go back home and take a pic of my passport, because your shitty app would not all one to select "call primary contact and secondary contact". It will only allow one of the phone call options and then, the passport has to be used (or perhaps a lease agrreement!!! How about a mortgage agreement. What if the person is not a renter? It was nearly impossible to relock using the sh*tty type of lock on the back of the truck. And, despite all the minutae and requirements of taking photos etc.. when I returned it, the most important item in the instructions was missing (where to put the key). Was this intentional? A "GOTCHA" to be able to penalize someone for putting in the wrong place? I put it back where I found it, in the cargo area. never again. Have a nice life.

CHARLES DI ordered a larger truck and when arrived I was told they only had a certain size. The manager said they called corporate and told them stop sending people there for larger trucks. I had to get the smaller one and make multiple trips which of course you are charged per mile. Being forced to renting the smaller truck for 2 days cost me over $300.

Amy GEnsure moving supplies the customer has ordered are included in the truck. If you do not have the supplies, notify the customer beforehand. I did not receive any of the 18 blankets ordered. We had to find a nearby Uhaul to get them from. The Uhaul place we got them from was not a quick stop. The cashier seemed very confused and we spent about 20 min reiterating the order # until he was finally able to figure out what to do.
Christina KWe returned the truck on Sunday when no one was there. The next day we went back to confirm the bill and the person in Easton was very rude saying we did not leave it in the correct spot. We stated there was no sign saying where to park. My husband parked in a spot that did not block traffic.

John WWorker at location was very helpful and respectful. He called me to explain the entire process of using your mobile device for picking up and returning the device. He even came out and asked if I was ok and needed any help.

RUSSELL LFirst person who made my reservation schedualed me to pick up a uhaul at a place that was closed. This caused me a great inconevencience because I drove to a place that cost me time and gas since I had to call uhaul when I realized the place wasn’t going to open. I was left on hold numorurse of times and after speaking with 3 uhaul representatives, I was finally able to get to a location where there was a uhaul available. I had a horrible experience with uhaul.
Stephaine BGenerally, I like U Haul as a vendor. I was annoyed that the pick up location had posted hours for 8:00 AM on Saturday. I reserved a truck for 8 AM and arrived at 7:50 AM. The employee did not arrive until 8:30 or so, causing me both time and money with my moving help. Moving is stressful and expensive enough, without a business opening and closing with dependable hours. John Betsker
John BStowaway was had contract to go when I arrived which made the pick up easy and quick. Greatly appreciated. Truck performed well but was due for service. Check engine light was on and several bulbs were burned out (headlight, tail light, brake light).

PETER HThe places I ended up getting the truck from was great but every time i rent with you guys there is always a problem. I went into another store in easton and talked to a guy to make sure i could get the truck i need from THAT location at 7am the next day i was called later that day and was told a new location and that they didn't open till 10am. I had to change all my plans around. Every time i rent with you guys something like this happens. Your whole business is logistics and you are the worst at having the right trucks at the right location when it is needed. I will most likely be going with a different moving company from now I just don't have time to track down my own truck after i went out of my way to go into one of your stores to make sure this didn't happen in the first place.

RICHARD RHad problems with reservation which caused a great deal of stress and ended up costing me more money than it should have. Not sure who or what was to blame for the reservation mistakes.
Scott FIt's not a real uhaul location. I reserved a 24ft truck and only got a 17 ft truck. They gave me the 17ft truck price for the rental but then it took me over 5 loads to do the job! Not a good experience! They charged me for blankets that weren't returned when I didn't get the proper amount of blankets to begin with!
christine hHaving other truck sizes available. originally wanted a van type vehicle but was not available, so we used the next smallest truck. It worked out well for us but I feel more comfortable driving the van type.
