The location was not good. It took a long time just to get the trailer - about an extra 30 mins before we could drive away. It seemed there was a lot of confusion. The trailer itself had a flat tire. The area where we hooked up was in a very tight area, so we had to have our truck sticking out onto the roadway blocking one of the lanes - very unsafe. When I dropped it off, there was confusion on the the procedures for the drop off - very frustrating. I took a lot of pictures of the trailer after I dropped it off to prove it was there as the location didn't open until 11am! This whole episode was not what I expected from such a reputable company. :(

Joel RI showed up 15 min prior to my pick up time. Started the pick up process on the uhaul app. Come to find out the app is junk. Go back to the website. Now my log in info won't work. Fine ill create a new one. Nope still cant log in. So i use the one time verification code. Ok now im in. See the option for pickup. Select it and it says my equipment isn't available contact uhaul. After getting disconnected during a call transfer i had to start over. The guy i got basically told me it wasn't his problem deal with the store i was picking it up at and hung up on me. (This was supposed to be a pickup without talking to anyone) Finally the store opened and they didn't know i was coming so nothing was ready I get the truck Finally and its dirty inside and out but at this point fine what ever noted it on pickup Drop off went ok. But at checkout i added not clean for next rental (because im not cleaning a truck that wasn't clean for me) it wanted to charge me a cleaning fee. Umm nope went back and changed my option. Guess the next guy will get it dirty too

Viswanathan MThe location was not great. A convenience store where they were scheduled to close before the truck was scheduled to be returned. Also, the truck was there but not the other items we had reserved. The shop attendant had to call around to another location and we then had to drive to a different location to pick up the reserved moving items. The attendant was kind enough to discount the final invoice a bit as we were charged for the kilometres we used to drive to and from the other location. Also, the gas tank was only 1/4 full when we picked up the truck. The cost was so much higher than what we had expected….lots of hidden costs and taxes! Check the fine print! I would never rent a truck from U-Haul again.
Monica SHorrible spot to put a UHaul franchise. It has only two parking spots and is on a blind curve next to an intersection. And the attendant wanted me to back up the truck and trailer. I refused because I do not have that ability. He finally did it while he made me wait. Then he charged me $48 for 1/8th of a tank less than expected and charged me $60 because I was an hour late (fair enough). But I also got charged $26 for insurance on the late fee. When I asked to have that removed, I was told, "I don't know how to do that."

Kyle TStaff very friendly and tried to help but did not have all skill sets to make it a smooth interaction. Would suggest more training for trailer set up and proprietary software use. 20 minutes late opening and over all 45 minutes to check in and be gone and I was the first customer of the day. Staff was extremely courteous and worked hard to get ne going despite lack of knowledge I would give A+ for problem solving but C- for prompt service. Delays cost me money on the loading end.
James TVery pleased to have this out in Langford. Only wish is that there would be a 10 foot truck in inventory all the time. (It had just come in, or would have had to rent the 15-footer.; too much truck to just move 2 things. Otherwise, well pleased with the whole experience.

Pamela WI booked a moving van for a 6am morning pick up and return the same day in a different location 5 weeks before move date. Talked to A representative on the phone to address concerns about an early pick up and drop off in a different city and was reassured that it would all be fine. When somebody finally called me to confirm pick up I was told that my van would be ready for a 4:30 PM pick up add a different location that I had requested. Between time constraint and hired people to help me move 4 PM was not going to work I asked for a different vehicle at another location to pick up and they found one for 10:30 AM pick up but I would have to return it to the same location adding additional 200 km charge to the rental and I would have to have it back by 5 PM. Because there was no other option I took it. I pick the van up and 11/2 hrs later was called to return the van because I was give the wrong one so I had to return to the rental location unload all that I had packed and put it into a different truck. Between the collective 2 1/2 hours I spent on the phone trying to arrange transportation for my move and the 36 emails of confirmation contract changes I received I would never use U-Haul again
Samantha SShit experience Went to one location. No trailer. Guaranteed booking. Wasted my time. Uhaul ‘Rebooked’ to sooke. Bumfuckville. Said opening 10am. NOPE. 10.15 no one there. Worst experience ever. You guys suck.

Chris WI think they used the truck after I returned and before they checked it in!! It took more than three hours to check it in and then the miles and fuel changed!! Scamming bs!!
MICHAEL PThe cab was dirty and there was only a 1/4 tank of gas. Having to go fill the tank prior to departing was stressful and time consuming as this was a provincial move.

Kevin PI returned the vehicle is the same amount of gas it had in it and the lady checked it all and said I was fine to leave and I still got charged 33 dollars for gas. I've rented uhauls many times and this has never happened. Very disapointed.
SAMANTHA DLicense plate looked like a crushed can, not legible. Trailer jack didn't work, young attendant had to use his car jack to get it on my hitch. Trailer had no brakes, don't believe it had been maintained in an a long time. I believe I should get refunded .Can't see ever using u-haul again.
Don DEquipment was expected condition, dusty inside and dirty on the outside. Not gross by any means but well used. Crack on windshield is noted in pictures.

Jeromy BI booked U-Haul for 9am... Streamside Grocery was not open. Walked around for several minutes then a gentleman working next door contacted the owner... they did not open till 10am. Came back for 10:00am on the dot, still not open. Employee arrives 15mins late, has to open the store before addressing my service. 1 hour and 45mins after my scheduled pickup time, was I able to drive off with the truck. Would not recommend this location EVER.

Thomas SHave the gas tank always on full. It would make it easier to judge when filling back up to 5/8 or just above the 1/4 mark on the gas gage. The u-hull site kept crashing, we had to restart my information 3 times before it accepted it.
Timothy IThe issue wasn't particularly with the pick up and drop off locations but my overall experience with UHaul was bad and I won't be using you again if there is literally any other option. I confirmed my pickup location as Topaz Ave (which is the biggest depot in Victoria) in the reservation. The day before I'm to pick up the truck I happen to go online and check and the pickup location has been changed to this tiny grocery out in Langford with NO NOTIFICATION. I had no way to GET to Langford so I called customer service and they told me too bad, take a taxi. To be frank the customer service rep was very rude. So having to go to Langford threw my whole moving day off and forced me to work until 10 pm. Oh, and your website quotes in USD with no indication of that that I can see, so I was expecting $300 + tax and wound up paying $476. The whole thing sucked and your customer service being rude to me was just the cherry on top. Figure your shit out.
