Attendant, (appeared to be a mechanic) just asked for the key, and if it was fueled up. I asked if there was any paperwork to sign or a receipt, he said no, just to leave the key. 1 week later we received a phone call from U-haul informing us that the records indicate we still had not returned the truck. Specifically booked a month in advance and was told a truck would be made available in Strathroy but was told the day before the rental it wasn't possible because I was only going one way. Shouldn't this have been known at the time of booking? Was offered free mileage to bring the truck back but not gas. Would have considered it if gas and mileage back was included. I viewed it as doing a favour for uhaul but it wasn't viewed that way. Also, despite the fact that I did a pre-checkin and paid in advance, it still took 20 minutes to get the truck. Not sure what took so long just to say everything was good to go. Normally we do an inspection with the uhaul rep to agree on any pre-existing damage but the representative just handed me the key and said I could go.Christopher A.

I requested a mobile pick up at 7 am. This was confirmed by a u haul agent the day before. Because the location did not prepare their lock box I was not able to receive the keys to my rental until they opened at 8:30 am. This put us way behind schedule, adding a time crunch to our move. Overall a very poor experience. I cannot recommend u haul after this experience.Sam B.

The only thing I would recommend is the secondary contact number needed to complete the booking. It delayed the process and seemed unnecessary. Attendant told me to fill up the truck and that I would be reimbursed if the gas level was over what i had picked it up with, upon its return.. That was completely untrue. Congratulations Uhaul you scored a quarter of a tank of gas. store didnt have an appliance dolly as per my contract. I had to incur extra time and mileage to go to another store to get one.as i rented a truck to move a refrigerator.William T.

I rent a truck and picked on 3:00 pm, after 6 hours, I returned it on 9:00 pm, when the store was closed, so I dropped the key into the â€˜key drop' box. On the next day 1 pm, I received the email receipt from UHAUL, I was told I had been changed for TWO DAYS rental because my return time is the next day 1 pm!! The blankets I ordered were not there. The customer service guy was really rude! He kept asking for my drivers license when I was not the driver. Kept asking where the driver was and I told him he would be here soon. He walked away from us and did not say thank you for dealing with us. HE JUST WALJED AWAY AND STARTED TO SERVE ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Was overcharged for insurance I declined multiple times (as clearly shown on the booking online). When I questioned the location about the charge they agreed with me that it was incorrect, but that I had to can the general UHaul phone number. Spent well over an hour on hold before I spoke with anyone on the general line, and then when the UHaul rep phoned the location to confirm the billing mistake they apparently lied and said I requested it in person - I did not. I was never asked about insurance in person. Problem still has not been resolved.Landon Y.
please do not go to this locaiton! you will save not only your money but also your life, just don't go. I have rented a truck from this location going one way to toronto. First, the back truck is frozen, ask them for help, young guys said just kick on the truck( shocking), and the guy forget to put the dolley into the truck before I pick up the truck. Then the battery is dead, so they have to come over and jump start the truck, I was worried about this then been told the Truck has been inspected by U-haul specialist the day before delivery, it must be someone left the light on and killed the battery. If it ever dead again, I should call U-haul instead talking to them. after the Truck started, the engine light came up, now i'm really worried. the young guy told me nothing will happen just drive. If it broken, just call U-haul and they will come fix it. this truck had 3 dead battery during my trip and the service light came up force me to to drive at max 40km/hr to drop off location and it's shaking the shit out of my life. I asked the two guys to come do the inspection particularly for gas and mileage and damage. They both refused stating it would be done in the morning. I voiced that I was concerned about the gas because I just filled up to the 3/8 mark and also took a picture and didn't want to be charged extra and they said "DON"T WORRY we won't charge you extra". They both seemed too preoccupied with cleaning up so they could close (I was there before 6:30pm). As well I confirmed they would be reporting that I brought it back on time. The guy stated he would close it off before 24 hours was up and I had to remind him that I was returning the vehicle at 6:30 pm when it was required by 9am next day and I didn't want it too be reported late. I could not get a receipt either. Today I am being charged for additional gas when I have a picture proving as well as my son who was with me when I added gas to be at the 3/8ths amount I picked up at. Such poor customer service when they wouldn't even come so if there was a concern I could have gone back to Petro next door and added gas again.Pat R.

The trunk of the truck was covered in dust and debris we had to sweep it out so as not to get our belongings filthy. There were damages on the truck that were not logged (or marked by an X) and customers should not be responsible for logging these outstanding damages in your system through pictures when we are already on a time crunch with time limits on rentals.Sarah R.

The guys at the pickup place were so helpful as I had problems with the app, the 1-800 staff were awesome. Truck was in great condition BUT customers are promised the trucks will be disinfected and cleaned in between movers and it was not. The staff at the place said they are not responsible for the U-Haul upkeep. I was very concerned. Thank goodness I had brought my Lysol wipes and disposable gloves because I had to clean the truck. I am older so this was concerning but was in a position that I had no choice because a move had to happen that day.Diana L.

Terrible. The guys at the pick up location and Austin's and August from your customer service were very polite and as helpful as possible , but no one seemed to know what the heck was going on. I tried the online check in and waited a really long time. I had to call customer service and give my phone to the guy at the counter before I could get the key, half an hour after I arrived. When I returned the truck, I was told I wasn't supposed to have taken it and I need to wait to hear from some district manager to clear up my account. Next time, I'll hire a mule train.Jeffrey S.
