Only available person at this location did not know what to do with a Uhaul arriving
Maria EIt was a slushy night on the roads. Because of this, I asked the attendant if the windshield washer fluid was full. He assured me it was. Five minutes into the rental I tried the washer fluid.....and it was empty. I had to keep pulling over and throw snow on the windshield to be able to see. Very dangerous and disappointing. ALL fluid levels should be checked prior to any rental leaving the lot.

BASILIOS MDoor was broken and became jammed multiple times as it was missing a wheel on the track, leaving me stuck for a significant period of time. Vehicle also had a clear exhaust leak that was sleeping into the cabin.

TYLER MFigure out a way to tell customers exactly how much gas needs to be put it the truck at return. The guessing game is stupid and time wasting. Then to charge more for gas after is ludicrous.
Scott AI took a 10ft truck and they broke on me on the road. Help took 6 hours and I was not allowed to leave the location. Worse thing is I requested for refund and compensation for the money I spend on the movers, the owner Adnrew/Henry refused saying I have not taken the items from the truck -- as per him I was supposed to take another rental that rainy day and dump the items irrespective of what happened. I was asked to stay in teh truck by the u-haul roadassitance team and as per the onwer after 6 jours staying there I should have cleaned the truck that got broke down in the road.. I am filing case aganist him but for others there please be careful taking rental from here

Gidd RThe staff person was very helpful and processed us quite quickly. The location is literally on the same property as a gas station, so we were able to easily fill up. My suggestion is to leave enough time to fill up BEFORE you start driving. The truck was less than 1/8 of a tank and the low fuel light was on when we started up the truck.

prathish bStaff was great. Pick up and drop off was easy. Truck engine light was on and one headlight was out. Also, the mileage rates are excessive, given that gas is not included. An 8 hour rental to sarnia and back cost closeup $250 plus gas (which was almost $80). It should be half that, unless you include gas. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options - which I’m sure is what u-haul is counting on. Bud, given they had a truck when I needed it and had a convenient location, I would use them again - unless a legitimate competitor comes Into the market.

Eduardo dBefore getting into the truck, I was shown on a screen inside how much gas was left in the vehicle and was told to bring it back with the same. When I got in the car, there was less gas than shown to me. Then I was asked to fill up the tank after our use to that line originally shown to me, which is not fair. I probably used $10 of gas but ended up paying $20. I decided not to fight with anyone at the store but I’m very upset about this and I hope I get compensated for it. In general, I am quite disgusted that on top of the hourly fee and the charge per km/mi we are ALSO expected to pay for the gas afterwards. What does the charge per KM even cover if not the general wear and tear and the gas? What should have cost $40 ended up costing $85 and it feels like you’re stealing from us. Likely won’t be using uhaul again unless these policies change.
Katie GYou have over charged me for no reason. I had filled the truck back up to where the gas was when I received it, yet still charged me 10.90 for gas. And then you also over charged for the kilometer rate, your website states 0.89 per km and yet you charge 1.43. This is unacceptable and am expecting to be refunded the amount I have been over charged. Would not recommend Uhaul again as this is not right. I have sent you and email with photo proof of the gas being back to the levels I received and just take a look at your website and see that your rate per kilometer is 0.89. How ignorant can a business be to not know how much they charge.

taylor fI went to get my truck on the Friday at 7pm like I reserved online. When I got there I did all the online work and then received a message that the location does not open until 8:30 the following day. I had to send all the help I had home and do the moving myself the next day!!!!

gary tI showed up to this location. My truck was not ready. It was covered in snow. They had other uhauls blocking mine so I couldn't even pull it out if I wanted to. The whole situation took 45 minutes which left me less time for my move. Absolutely unprofessional.

Emmanuel BI had to wait for the oil change guys to deal with the clients who drove up to the door several times and help with oil changes wile I was being checked in and out. There wasn’t any parking for the truck I rented when I dropped it off. The door of the truck wouldn’t close properly and the guy there said try and close it harder but it never closed properly. I only needed the rental for a short time and just left it draftee for the day.
Sean VWe rented a 15' truck with the following price: $29.95 renting + $0.89/km after returning it back, they gave us a bill with $147!!!!!! with only 17km. They charged us twice easily! after complaining, they reduced it to $87 which was more reasonable but again instead of $0.89/km, they charged us $1.43/km and told us that this is not related to us, talk to Uhaul!!! I believe that Uhaul deceives people, they put something attractive on their website and then provide us with something else.
Emad HTake 5 Oil Change was great; however, U-Haul allowed me to book a 20' truck for pick up and when I arrived, myself and the Take 5 attendant were told by Henry, the U-Haul representative on the phone, that I had to go downtown to First Street to pick up my vehicle as this location doesn't carry 20' trucks. Very inconvenient and very poorly managed by U-Haul.
Patrick HThe gas tank wasn't full when I get it and I wasn't informed properly. I delivered the van back full. Rode 115 km ish and ended up filling it with 35 liters of gas. Didn't get any sort of reimbursement for that. Also, van had lots of dog food in the cabin. Experience could have been better.
Lucio BRepresentative had no idea about customer service , wasn't able to communicate clearly. Started talking to us then turned around to do something else leaving us standing at the counter. We returned truck only after few hours and gave the keys to the same person. Next morning got an email with changes that were doubled up! Had to drive back to address the issue..same guy. He was trying to push the blame on some one else but finally admitted that he didn't process return until day later. No apology and he wasn't even able to figure out correct charges! He did call the office and so did we .Henry was very pleasant and told us that refund is being processed. Maybe employee that we had a misfortune of dealing with is good at something else, but please don't let him deal with clients or paperwork, or numbers, or reports etc..And please teach him to accept responsibility!
Alex KRental was fine. Bill was not. Costs I was not told about appeared on the bill. $15 safe move, no idea what this is, i have my own insurance which includes rentals either way i was not informed of this charge. $4 environmental charge, again not informed and my understanding of the way this works is you would actually have to dispose of something to charge for it. I will be discussing this with my credit card company

Douglas CAttendant, (appeared to be a mechanic) just asked for the key, and if it was fueled up. I asked if there was any paperwork to sign or a receipt, he said no, just to leave the key. 1 week later we received a phone call from U-haul informing us that the records indicate we still had not returned the truck. It was quickly cleared up however.
STEFANS NI dropped the vehicle off after business hours and there was no key drop box available. I had to return the key the next day.

Lindsay TSpecifically booked a month in advance and was told a truck would be made available in Strathroy but was told the day before the rental it wasn’t possible because I was only going one way. Shouldn’t this have been known at the time of booking? Was offered free mileage to bring the truck back but not gas. Would have considered it if gas and mileage back was included. I viewed it as doing a favour for uhaul but it wasn’t viewed that way. Also, despite the fact that I did a pre-checkin and paid in advance, it still took 20 minutes to get the truck. Not sure what took so long just to say everything was good to go. Normally we do an inspection with the uhaul rep to agree on any pre-existing damage but the representative just handed me the key and said I could go.
Christopher AI requested a mobile pick up at 7 am. This was confirmed by a u haul agent the day before. Because the location did not prepare their lock box I was not able to receive the keys to my rental until they opened at 8:30 am. This put us way behind schedule, adding a time crunch to our move. Overall a very poor experience. I cannot recommend u haul after this experience.

The only thing I would recommend is the secondary contact number needed to complete the booking. It delayed the process and seemed unnecessary. Other than that, great experience and will use again.

Yves PAttendant told me to fill up the truck and that I would be reimbursed if the gas level was over what i had picked it up with, upon its return.. That was completely untrue. Congratulations Uhaul you scored a quarter of a tank of gas. store didnt have an appliance dolly as per my contract. I had to incur extra time and mileage to go to another store to get one.as i rented a truck to move a refrigerator.
