There were several issues with this location. I initially had been told I would pick the truck up in Iowa city and so I flew across country to the airport in Cedar Rapids. On the day prior to the pick up, I was informed that I needed to drive an additional 80 miles west to pick up the truck. As you can imagine this added significant distress and cost to the rental as I did not have transportation. I also called the location on the morning of the pick-up to tell them I had to arrange travel to get to them and I would be there around noon. The gentlemen's response at the ACE Hardware was a very curt and rude response and he actually said "I don't care what time you get here". After finding a way to get from Iowa City to Tama to pick up the truck, I then received another call asking me why I was "late" to pick up the truck and they were going to consider releasing it to another customer. As you can imagine this was very disconcerting and stressful. Fortunately, they honored the reservation after I had paid someone to drive me nearly 2 hours away from my requested pick up location. Of note, this is not clear AT ALL in the reservation that this was a possibility. After picking up the truck, things went well. The truck was brand new and drove very nicely. There were no issues during the trip and drop off in Cincinnati was fine.
