Monica MI made a reservation for a truck for a one way move to another state a week prior to pick-up. I quickly received a text and email confirmation of the reservation. James at Tarpon Storage indicated he would check on availability over the next week and was knowledgeable and helpful. The Uhaul confirmation stated the requested equipment(truck) was unavailable at the requested location and a Uhaul rep would contact me the day before to verify availability of the equipment, date, and location. This basically stated Uhaul would not confirm the truck, date or location of pickup until the day before. When a customer is coordinating loading, travel, motel reservations and assisting personnel it is very stressful with no assurance the equipment will be available. I checked with James several times that week and even though the requested truck was at the location, he couldn't guarantee someone else would not rent the truck before my requested day. No one contacted me the day before my reservation and there was no change to the notification on the reservation online stating the requested equipment was not available at the requested location. Luckily, the truck was at the requested location on the day requested and James called to confirm on the morning of the reservation and even gave an extra day at no charge . The truck was mechanically fine, clean and the 1400 mile trip uneventful. I appreciate the help from James but Uhaul should have a way of insuring the reserved equipment will be available at a designated time and location instead of leaving the customer wondering if they will get the requested equipment when and where needed.
Malcolm SDon’t judge a book by its cover. This location is not flashy but rather organized and all business. And the gentleman that owns it is so kind and friendly. When in the area, we will always choose Tarpon Storage first!

Adrian BOnline pick up was great as I picked up the truck on a Sunday, when the location was closed. Drop off was even easier as I simply dropped off the keys and the owner completed everything for me. Will definitely utilize this location again!!!

DARRELL E | Overall ExperienceThe location had no drop box identical to U-Hauls instructions or a sign educating the customer “key drop off”. I had to sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes to get an answer. U-Haul needs to tailor the instructions to the location. Or the locations need consistency across the board.

Richard Sthe overall uhaul experience needs to be improved. We had booked a 26 footer over a month ago and not having it available simply isn't a solution. We would NEVER recommend Uhaul again to anyone...the agent on the phone didn't care to help and we ended up having to pay someone else to haul items due to uhaul not having the right size truck. Terrible customer service. We received no discount for our issue other than the normal charge of the smaller truck. We'll be telling everyone we know not to rely on uhaul as they don't care if they don't have the right equipment you order when you need it.
Chris MHaving the equipment I ordered would of been perfect but that didn’t happen… instead, all I got was a truck with no equipment… so much of my furniture is damaged now and it was hell moving furniture into the truck without the equipment I ordered. A very expensive mirror is now broken and dressers along with other furniture is either cracked, scrapped or beyond repair now.. I really needed that equipment and if it couldn’t be done,,, the option to order should have been unavailable. I have so many bruises on my legs,., it ain’t even funny. I don’t believe I should be charged full price and I did not use the dolly for boxes or the blankets… I only picked up the dolly for furniture at the Ed Carey Dr location.

Dante DThe checkout procedure was a bit slower than other UHaul rentals. However, the equipment was almost new and the gentleman was very kind and helpful.
David DI didn't his name but I'm certain everyone knows his name. The older gentleman who helped me complete my return process was very nice and helpful and even allowed me to wait inside a moment until my taxi arrived to pick me up even though it wasn't for than a moment and completely unnecessary

francisco aTruck is worn down and alarms dtarted goin off about 4 miles from where i picked it up. Tried to get roadside service and got the runaround. Got a call back from roadside and when I answered, I got disconnected because the clerk said she couldn't hear me due to the alarms going off. Overall, got my stuff moved and the truck was returned the same way I got it. Alarms going off and all.

George RExtremely disappointed that my reserved trailer was not available at the pick up location we agreed on when booked. Ended up having to drive to a different city to pick it up. Also, back of trailer was full of confetti. Retailer tried to sweep confetti but to not avail. I ended up having to clean it myself prior to returning trailer to a different location on a different day.

Gregg HThe man at the rental was maskless in the middle of this pandemic, in a small office space that couldn't be 10 by 8 feet. He coughed repeatedly without regard for either my wife or me. If we get Covid, we will be in touch with U-haul about this exposure. Simply unacceptable. Obviously, you don't screen your rental locations. The truck we used was fine, and we have had repeatedly good experiences with U-Haul rentals over the years and will continue to use your services. However, we will pay much close attention to the location from which we rent.
