The lady that checked me out went above and beyond when I picked up the truck by cleaning all the ice and snow off the truck before I left. Moving is stressful enough. So it was nice to have some kindness through it all.
Julie FWe let the counter person know that the truck was hard to handle that the steering wheel was wobbly. The counter person said they knew it. It was a pretty old truck. It would have been nice to know before we took the truck.
LINDASUSAN JI think Uhaul does an excellent job. I have rented trucks from your organization almost a half dozen times, and the experience has been truly excellent. It is very convenient, with locations that are readily reachable and accessible to me. With Uhaul the experience of renting a vehicle is virtually stress-free. That's extremely important to renters, who have deadlines they must meet!

Bradley GTaylor Rental location is the best in Ithaca. Staff is always awesome and the location is great for this side of Ithaca.

Leanne GThe cargo area leaked and soaked everything in the truck becauseit was raing, kinda defeated the purpose of renting a u haul truck. I should have just used my pickup and trailer, could have saved myself some money. Do not recommend uhaul.

Clay MThe people were great! They cleaned out the truck for us and got everything ready. The truck, though, was not great-- it had a crack in the windshield directly in the driver's eye line. Fortunately, we didn't need to drive at night because the reflections from the crack would have been very distracting. As it was, sunlight occasionally caught the crack and made it more difficult to navigate. Additionally, there was lots of vibration when braking at higher speeds and there are probably lots of loose heat shields.
Michael BThe truck was parked in a grassy, uneven location around the back of the building. There was only one license plate on the back I had to hobble around the back with a bum knee on uneven grass to locate. The side of the truck was scratched up and not visible in the provided pictures. Otherwise the self pick up was relatively simple. I just think leaving the trucks on the pavement would be helpful.

james lThis location is a cell signal dead zone. I arrived early so I was able to go inside and wait in line for 15 minutes to get the wifi password. When I went outside because the location closed the wifi signal was so weak that it only occasionally picked up right outside the glass door. They need a much stronger signal and they need to post the wifi password on the door for people checking in after hours. It took me 45 minutes to check in. The truck was grafittied and had a gash in the side, but the biggest issue was that the cargo door was so stiff I couldn't open it myself and had to have assistance. The ramp also doesn't fully go back into the truck. It took 20 minutes to return the truck because of the wifi issue. I will say the woman inside who gave me the wifi password was very helpful and pleasant; I went back outside voluntarily so she could leave since it was 5:15 and the location closed at 5pm.

james lThe truck was a disaster. Ripped metal, insurance claim stickers all over it, graffiti, door that didn’t lock, and drove like a tank. My favorite sticker in the cab said Danger, the engine may make the floor hot and watch your kids, they can still open the door even if the door is locked. Upgrade this truck or retire it. Just sayin!

Spencer RIt took over an hour to use uhaul website to return truck. I had full bars on my phone but the website was so slow it took an hour and 15 minutes to go through all of the steps. Very bad online experience. The location was fine

Tom SThe u-Haul app didn't work. I had arranged a pickup an hour before the location opened. When I tried the app it failed. I called the 800 number. They were unable to help. When the location opened the employees were very helpful getting me on my way. An hour and a half late, I did not appreciate having to stop for fuel as it had 1/2 a tank. My return trip at night I had to stop for glass cleaner and towels as the windshield was filthy. Mechanically the truck was fine. Keep the glass clean. Send the truck out with a full tank. Work on your after-hour pickup app.

Gregg Ci waited an hour to get truck because her computer was down and then i got charged for gas that i replaced (drove 33 miles replaced 3.1 gallons) and still got charged gor 3 gallons and the guy had no ability to fix it, so he gave me a number of a mainnoffice in Rochester, told them my problem, lady said she would call back with answer and never did. The amount of effort for problem STILl not solved is absurd.

ROBIN SI was charged a cleaning fee for a truck I brought back that was immaculate. i was very unhappy about it. The people who worked there were not professional. they did not where uniforms. I was not impressed.

George BAll locations I went to were great, people I interacted with were pleasant and knowledgeable. My complaint is the coordination of uhaul. I was sent first 45 minutes to a location that did not have the requested equipment. Then to a second location, while in route to second location received a phone call that they also did not have a trailer, sent to a third location and hour in the other direction, when I got there they were not aware I was coming as promised on the phone, and had to dig the trailer and truck out of a a snow bank delaying me another 30min. In all I spent nearly 5 hours getting a truck and trailer to my starting point, of which 4 hours was wasted because of ineptness on the part of uhaul.

ADAMDAVID CThey overcharged me $30 for gas. They didn't "remember" they gave me the truck with 3/4 full tank, and charged me for 6 gallons to fill it to full. I've already called to correct the issue, but I haven't seen any changes yet. Glad I took a picture with the gas meter + timestamp for proof. What a racket.

Paul NEvery year we rent from these folks. GREAT people. I have a very hard time starting the vehicle. Its hit or miss. It may start on the third try or the twelfth. It scares me when it won't start because of my job hauling voting info etc.
Elizabeth Mthe passenger side mirror was so loose that a few yards down the road the mirror was facing the street. I was blind on that side. Took truck back to taylor rental and a staff member tightened it. However still too loose and the staff memeber taped it. The tape didn't hold and when I got home I duct taped the mirror. Still didn't hold very well, but held better than the clear tape. Had to adjust 2 x's on the way to destination.
MARGARETLORD SI felt sorry for the woman working there, she was all alone but she did her best to take care of me as well as multiple customers on the phone. I wish her the best!
