The hours of the business where we needed to pick up our truck. Stated on the door 8-5. We were scheduled to pick up at 8. My husband and I waited until 8:40 before anyone from the business showed up. When the individual did show up he offered no apology when we asked if the hours where correct and that we where schedule to pick up at 8. His response was rude and frankly unacceptable. He said "Yes, stuff happens, that's life, what's the problem?" I asked if that was the response he felt he should give to someone who had been inconvenienced to such a degree. His response was to tell me to go sit down in the waiting room. Yes, he's right. Stuff happens and a simple 'Sorry for the inconvenience' would have gone a long way. Uhaul is adamant that if you have questions, concerns etc to call. Good luck. We did that. Absolutely no help what so ever. In fact was transferred twice when I called because my original 'guaranteed' reservation was unavailable, to departments that where either after business hours or didn't answer until the line went dead. So, I'm calling again, on the phone as I type. Listening over and over to the recorded message telling me to submit a review, that issues can easily be resolved. And by doing so they say... ' taking the first steps to ensuring that the next family won't have to deal with the same kind of problems we have experienced' . Well, guess what. No one answers because 'we're experiencing a high volume of calls'. I intend to take this to a corporate level. I have used UHaul for years and have never had problems to this extent. Well, I finally got through to customer service. Was talking to a young man who was intensely listening to my situation. I got disconnected! Wow, what happened to Uhaul? Maybe I need to hire a local next time. The service couldn't be any worse. I intend to share my experience with anybody thinking about using Uhaul in the future and I will suggest to them that they look at the reviews. They speak for themselves. I should have listened.

The cab of the truck had a bad cigarette smoke/musk smell in it.. Other than that it was okay.

The TruckShate experience was a nightmare. I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 6am. I couldn't ever get the app to work. I chatted online with a UHaul rep who wasn't helpful at all. I called UHaul ans spoke with a rep who still wasn't able to assist. The end result was me waiting in the middle of nowhere with no way to go in which was not safe. After an hour, i received an error message stating I had to check out via the counter so I had to wait another hour until 8am when the shop I expected to be compensated with a credit for my inconvenience.

Original pick up was Acworth GA. Day before pick up I was sent to Dallas GA for pick up. Pick up time was 9:30am no truck till 11 am. Then charged for going over 142 miles!!

The first location didn't have my truck available and noone was there. I would have a system in place to prevent this from occurring. And maybe work on some customer service when the truck wasn't available. They got my a new truck from this location but no one seemed bothered or apologized for the trouble of going to a new location. The second location did a great job!

This entire experience was horrible. I have moved a total of 12 times in the last 18 years (military) and I have never had an experience like this with Uhual. So incredibly disappointed.

Excellent experience all the way around. The person assisting us at TCB was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. The vehicle was reliable and comfortable and very well served the purpose we rented it for. Will be using this facility to rent in the future!

Alpha Omega Store, located at 505 Jimmy Campbell Pkwy in Dallas, GA has the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced in all my years… The lady working the morning of 8/3/2018, was beyond rude and talked down to me like I was a child!! We reserved a moving truck 1-week in advance of date needed, received our confirmation for the location we selected, Alpha Omega Store, and re-confirmed. We are from out of state, and very unfamiliar with the area; upon arrival, we were told that our reservation had been transferred to a different location in a completely different city! We received no communication at all regarding the change. Of course, I was a little frustrated, having driven over 3.5 hrs. only to arrive and then be told that we had to go another 45-mins+ one-way to pick-up the rental truck, however, having worked in a customer service environment in my younger days, I made a point to control my frustration and politely asked the associate for her assistance in getting the matter straightened out… At that time, she quickly responded that she could be of NO help, that we would need to contact U-Haul directly via their tollfree telephone number. I again, asked if she could assist us in any way, like possibly changing truck sizes so that we could get one of the many that she had parked at her location to prevent us from having to add the additional 1-1/2 hrs. onto our trip, or possibly assist us with finding another location, closer than 45-mins away that we could move our reservation to, etc. but her response remained the same… “Sorry, you’ll need to contact U-Haul directly at 1-800….. UGH!!!!! I feel like there was a MAJOR lack of communication/operations on U-hauls part by changing our reservation location without any notice at all and then a MAJOR lack of communication/customer service at the Alpha Omega Store, 505 Jimmy Campbell Pkwy, that made our experience just HORRIBLE…. So much so, that it is VERY doubtful that we would ever consider booking a U-Haul again! Penske just may have a frequent user customer!
