I was told that the equipment I reserved would be there and then told the day before that the location didn't have the trailer I reserved. The nearest one was over 100 miles away which would have made it an extra 200 miles on to the truck I had rented. They were unwilling to keep their word on confirming my equipment and were unwilling to bring the trailer to my location as I had originally requested. All of this on the day before I was supposed to pick everything up. Nothing against the agent where I picked up the equipment. Absolutely no confidence in U-Haul!!! If there was competition that cost a bit more, I would use the competition in the future.COLIN Y.

When i returned the truck next day, even earlier before drop off time. I met a staff who was helpful, took the keys but could not complete delivery paperwork as he is not the one in charge. I think this leaves room for disputes and issues subsequently. I had a very serious concern with the deduction of $1944.22 from my credit card that was not supposed to be. This was after paying the normal fee of $172.20 for the distance between Cold lake and Lac-la-biche. This is a 149Km drive. I received a receipt claiming an extra 4629.1 miles, and subsequent charge of $1851.64 and $92.58 for GST tax, totaling 1944.22. The vehicle i rented is in Kilometers, not miles. This is very concerning and needs to be reviewed and deduction in error corrected. Needs to be looked out for in subsequent customer interactions too. U-haul is known to be very efficient and diligent, therefore business locations should also ensure this value is maintained and customers have confident in the transactions. I am pretty much concerned as to the issue, so i will choose to stay neutral on recommending the location at this time.Monsurat A.
