Stephanie DHaving to back up park a large U-Haul truck was daunting with not a lot of space to manuveur. A back up camera would be nice to have. Also, the U-Haul app was sketchy at times and would default back to the home screen. Trying to take pictures for the app in the rain was not a fun experience either. Other than those things, the truck ran great and worked perfect fcr what we needed to haul. No issues with pick up either.

Marv GAfter I rented the uhaul and was driving it with a signed contract to return it to Pella, I got a call from uhaul saying I could not return it there and would need to drive 1 hr back to Des Moines. We picked up girl scout cookie from the des moines HQ and brought them 1 hr back to our town of Pella, unloaded the cookies, and returned the uhaul 6 hours after we picked it up. My car was waiting in pella. If this location did not want me returning it there, they should have notified uhaul before the contract was signed and the rental was in progress. Once we returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas that was in it at check out, this location charged my girl scouts $10 in gas and a $150 cleaning fee for a clean vehicle. I am a disabled veteran and I put 2 pallets that the cookies were on, next to their public dumpster. I could not lift them by myself. Their notes say that the cleaning fee is because of these 2 pallets only next to the public dumpster. The cleaning fee is limited to the vehicle only which they admit was clean. We feel this is all retaliatory because we returned the vehicle to the contracted location they didn't want...to teach these little girls a lesson. This uhaul was paid 100% with their troop money. I have used uhaul for years ...23 years in the Marines as a lawyer doing military moves. This is the only bad experience we have ever had. I filed an appeal. We appreciate uhaul making it right. I have my gas receipt showing I put $40 in gas in the uhaul just to drive it 1 hr from Des Moines to Pella.
CARRIE ANo signage to let you know you're in the right place. Dropped off at night and location was hard to find.
Gloria TAppreciated the help on site with completing the rental application which I struggled with online. My limited smart phone abilities and cold weather made it difficult to do online registration and completion. I realize there are advantages to doing these processes online but for some of us (me at least), physical paper forms are much easier and quicker.

DEVON BLocation is in a small town. Seems as more of a side-line as there is multi product retail operation there. Personnel were helpful although I could not get the 20’ van I had ordered and was given a 26’ instead. I guess that was good although being so long it was harder to manage on such a long trip of 1,600 miles.

Kristen MI was very disappointed in the fact that I had to go so far out of my way to pick up that box and then to have you renig on the $350 I was promised. Don’t ever ask me to do that again!
PATTY BNo one was there when we went to drop off the truck so we just parked it outside the building and left. A couple day later we received a phone call that the truck didn’t get returned. We got the situation taken care of however.

Brian MI received a $55 cleaning, and I am not sure for what. The cab was perfectly clean and I used a blower on the trailer.

John HI got charged 300 extra damn dollars than I was supposed to, putting my account in the hole. The entire process was a shit show and neither r the app or website worked. I spent an hour STARTING AT 11:30 PM(AT NIGHT SINCE Y'ALL ARE TOO STUPID TO REALIZE AHHRJING ELSE) trying to check out the u haul I planned for a month on. There's a whole nother part of the story I ain't gonna go into for the simple fact this should be enough to get ur head out of ur asses.

Pegger OThe staff at the Pella location were nice. The alignment on the truck was off pretty bad. The Ford symbol on the steering wheel was at a 45 degree angle when driving straight down the road. The driver's side tail light was also out. The truck was clean overall but the alignment and tail light were a concern for a 4.5 hour drive.
Adam LLights on trailer went out halfway through road trip. Extended our trip by an additional day. Extra money spent that we weren’t planning on spending because of faulty trailer.

Dan FThe parking lot was gravel and muddy. I shared with the guy at the drop off location about how dirty the truck was and he said U-haul can't keep the trucks (even the interior clean) in the spring weather. He didn't even want to hear about using the clorox wipes. This guy knew more than anyone else about cleanliness and U-haul trucks. He sure didn't impress me with his listening skills.
