The young man in charge where we FINALLY got a truck did his job, however he reentered my info and our original cost increased by $74. Now I get to deal with that. This was what we went through on the morning of the move. On our way from Michigan to Indiana to help our daughter move, we were emailed that our original pickup address did not have the truck we needed. We arrived in Fort Wayne only to have to call and be rerouted to a location that wasn’t even open, then we called Uhaul and were rerouted again to a location for pickup where my original payment price increased by $74. Big rip off. Horrible experience. Our rental was received approximately 1-1/2 hours after original pick up time. Never relying on Uhaul again! Because of all this we were unable to return the truck by 9:00am the following morning. My daughter could not get all her belongings in her house before dark and the rain. I hope we aren’t charged for being late! I hope no one else has to be jerked around like this!

I was charged for a two day rental and only used the Uhaul truck for four hours. I should have received a refund for the amount I was overcharged on.

The rental location a half mile down the road in columbia city was unavailable for drop off. Not this places fault but when I asked about the mileage charge he was rude. Stating his job was just to write the numbers down.

TERRY ANo one there to talk through check in. I really wanted to talk over the trailer and my frustration with it. While i appreciate the auto check in through the app, it completely eliminates ANY positive customer service from occurring.

David GThe guy had no idea what he was doing. Wouldn’t even speak to me. Only would speak to my boyfriend. Even though I was the one making the reservation. Had issues with our reservation. Ended up having to have my boyfriend’s license on file instead of mine. Charged my card twice when he said it was going to be a set amount. The back of the trailer had slime in it. It was sticky and gross I had to ruin a blanket by laying it down in the back so my stuff wouldn’t get ruined. The tire had low pressure and the guy said “as long as it’s in town, would be fine and to not worry about it”. I rented it for 8 hours and we didn’t even end up getting it till 2 hours after my pick up time thanks to the guy they left in charge. We had to have it back by 7 which is only 5 hours worth of use and I was moving across town and had to make 2 trips. Wasn’t enough time. I had to leave things that I now have to find a way to get. It was a terrible experience and I have pictures to back it all up. The guy was annoyed with me taking pictures of the truck before we took it. Also when my boyfriend went to go drop it off the guy wanted him to stay there while he checked the oil ? He asked for a manager and the manager told him it was ok to leave and the guy didn’t know what he was really doing. If he didn’t know what he was doing then he should of been left ALONE to do it.
