I ordered my U-Box in Tennessee... Tennessee was ABOVE AVERAGE for customer service and all around instilling CONFIDENCE for me with U-Haul in this process. Flanders, NJ was AVERAGE or slightly below average. I believe the dropping off transaction was done through Orange, NJ. BELOW AVERAGE customer service on the final drop off. Agents did not give me confidence like Tennessee did. Pick up of final empty box date was fumbled in the message...Monday 12/16 was changed to MONDAY 12/17 in the voicemail. DETAILS MATTER....so does being polite.

Scott SMost of the issues I experienced were caused by UHaul, not the location. However the truck was missing a hub cap and the left turn signal did not work (found this out later). This was my second location of the day. U-Haul had failed to properly set up the first location. The first phone rep I called re situation had terrible audio, took my info, put me on hold and then disconnected the call. The second phone rep was excellent. Finding another location etc cost me an extra 1.5 hrs and I ended up paying overtime to movers. Definitely won’t be using UHaul again. Will reflect in my Google rating.

Allen RI reserved the vehicle for 3:00pm on Friday but was delayed gettting there and arrived at 4:20pm, somewhat shocked that the location was closed? Who closes at 4:00pm? I would get fired if I left the office at 4:00pm. How do I join that union? I did call the 800 number and the person who helped me reschedule was very helpful and professional, but the snafu threw a wrench in my moving plans. With that, the vehicle was fine, drove well with good acceleration and brakes and decent visibility. I was also somewhat shocked that the mileage had gone up so dramatically. I'm surprised you have not drawn a congressional hearing to investigate the misleading "$19.99!" daily rate.

Cecil LUHaul seemed like a secondary business they were running but the drop off went smoothly. Facility/office was just 3 Stars. Location was in a quiet local which is a plus. I would still go there again if I need to rent locally.
James HNo present for the pick up time at 9:30 am on a Saturday and no one there for the drop off at 9:30 am on a Monday. These are not crazy hours. This was my first time renting a truck and it was NOT easy. Don’t say you are operating at certain hours when you are not.
Jonell SThis vehicle was horrible! The steering was so bad it meanders down the road. Thankfully I was only local and not taking this on highways. The driver door wasn't even able to open all the way due to the huge dent in the fender from previous users. I've only used Uhaul a handful of times and never had any issues. This truck was horrific.

Scott TI was not told that there was an additional fee for after hours drop off which is ridiculous considering I had to schedule the uhaul truck twice and spoke to someone when I picked up the truck. The app also did not let me return the truck because the location function was not working. I returned the key to leave before trying to access the uhaul website. After which, the site told me I needed live pictures of the truck which I no longer had because I returned the key. BE MORE CLEAR ABOUT AFTER HOUR DROP OFF AND IMPROVE THE APP/SITE TO DO SO.

Ayaan PI had to change the size of my truck. U-haul system was down. We called U-Haul, and she was able to do it over the phone. Very quickly. Thank you. If she was not able to change it because of the system being down, then it wouldn've been a problem.

I requested a unit at a location 25 minutes away and 3 1/2 hours earlier. I had no idea when I reserved that I wouldn’t know when and where to pick up a trailer until 6 pm the day before. This will certainly make me think twice before using U-Haul in the future.
