This establishment is the "best" place for pick up with in the city. It is accessible to the bus line and is centrally located in the middle of everything. The manager is very helpful and willing to explain anything you don't understand in detail. The workers are very pleasant and exceed your expectations.

The U-Haul truck had the engine light on and it was jumpy. They gave me a 1/8 gas filled truck but tried to bill me for 1/4 quarter. I went back to get more equipment and they didn’t have it.

The reservation process was frustrating. The location told me they wouldn't let me rent a van without a reservation and then the owner came to my vehicle, while making the res, in order to try to have me rent the truck inside. The truck was in great condition minus the fact that the tank was basically empty. I returned the Truck earlier than expected but had to wait until the next day (approx midday) to receive confirmation that I returned the truck. Overall the process was frustrating and it was my first time renting a uHaul.

The "touchless" pick-up service is awkward. The buffering took an hour to get through the steps. It seemed to me that U-Haul's system was slow in processing. I had a good signal. An hour! Then, once I finally got through the digital process, I encountered a lock system that felt like it was from the 19th century. I am pretty sure you could create a digital lock like Airbnb or other companies or homes do to enter their premises. My faith in U-haul was restored when an outrageous charge for fuel was removed from my account. It's rare to see a company act quickly to 'do the right thing'. I will be back.

I don't usually leave reviews but this was an exceptionally awful and stressful experience. I was renting a Uhaul van for just a couple of hours to pick up a large item on Facebook Marketplace. I had made the reservation online the day before, but when I got to Tire Tech I was told that the guy who "runs the Uhaul rentals" wasn't there and that I might not be able to rent a truck (even though I had reserved one). I ended up having to maneuver signing up for everything on the phone with him while at the counter which took longer than expected. A bit annoying but no problem. When I pulled into the Tire Tech parking lot it was unclear where I should park so that I could take the Uhaul. I was directed from one end of the parking lot to the other and saw no signs for where I should or shouldn't park. I had had the van for just over an hour when I saw multiple missed calls from an unknown number, and a text saying my car would be towed if I didn't call Tire Tech asap because it was "in the way of them being able to perform their services". I called back literally 5 MINUTES after seeing these missed calls, multiple times, but no one picked up. I rushed over to Tire Tech and as I was driving up saw my car ALREADY BEING TOWED AWAY -- it had been 15 MINUTES since I got the initial notification that I would be towed and no one answered my call. I was NOT in the way of them operating their "services'"AT ALL; there was plenty of space in the parking lot where they were doing car work; and based on the timing of the tow, they seemed to have already had a tow there by the time they called to notify me. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I ended up having to not only pay the fee to rent the van but also a $110 fee to get my car un-towed, even though the only reason it was in their lot was because I was renting a van FROM THEM - not like I was parking illegally to go shopping!!! They were not understanding at all and had no sympathy; it became clear that they must have been getting a cut of the tow fee I paid and were in some sort of agreement for this with the tow company. Buyers beware.

the van was broken and required a bunch of effort to turn on each time. luckily, the people at the location (tire tech) were very helpful but i was given a broken piece of equipment. personally, i would not rent from UHaul again because your van was so poorly maintained.

This location owner is dishonest. He adds charges hoping that you don’t scrutinize the final receipt. I booked a cargo van reservation on U-Haul website, and the total charge was $61.89. When I got to the location to pickup the van, he claimed that he had to make a new reservation under the false pretense that he couldn’t see my original reservation. In my original reservation, I declined their insurance coverage, he added Safe Move insurance coverage for $14.00 without my consent. He didn’t perform the van inspection with me to document the overall van condition. He rented a very dirty van full of once soaked but dried cardboard pieces. I used the van to move kitchen cabinets. Upon my return, he still refused to document the van condition. I handed him the key and asked him for receipt. He asserted that since I made the original reservation online, the receipt would come from U-Haul. When I received the final receipt, he charged me $50.00 for returning a dirty van. Total charge now for 2 hours usage and 8.5 miles traveled is $127.83. TOTAL DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES. STAY AWAY FROM RENTING FROM TIRE TECH EXPRESS. 538 BLUE HILL AVE. DORCHESTER, MA 02121. I’m disputing the fraudulent charges with U-Haul.

But than again the actual uhaul company on massachusetts Ave was ten times worse. This guy didn't give me a receipt and I only use the van for a couple if hours.went a total of 4 miles I put gas in the van and returned it still he cheated me

Pick up location: I called central reservations to make the initial reservation. I asked for several close drop off locations but was told I had to make that request at time of pick up. BUT the pick up location was unable to enter into the computer any of the desired drop off locations. So we called Uhaul's scheduling manager Dillan who at first stated I would need to drop off the truck where Uhaul needed a truck. I explained it was not my job to drive an extra 30-60 minutes out of my way just to drop off the truck after a long move. He finally stated he changed the drop off location for us. The girl at the pick up desk tried to confirm the drop off location change but the computer showed nothing had changed. After 45 minutes we had to leave very frustrated and unsure of our drop off location. Drop off location: The next day I called the scheduling manager AGAIN and asked for specific drop off locations. I was told it was all set and one of the desired drop off locations was now available. BUT I never received a text for the new location so I had to call several more times before FINALLY getting a satisfactory location. When I got to the drop off location I was unable to use the after hours drop off link because it kept stating "...expired..."! So once again I had to call Uhaul and speak to a live Rep who told me I was all set to just leave the truck there. My wife and I are EXTREMELY upset and dissatisfied with Uhaul's "customer service" or lack thereof! The pick up and drop off locations did everything they could to help us. They were not the problem.

Customer service was horrible. The man at the front was trying to do to many things at once. I made mention of this when I was there he assured me he had things under control. When I looked at my receipt, he charged for for coverage I told him I didn't want and a dolly that wasn't in the van. Very disappointed.

It`s great U-haul branched out to local locations. Auto repair and tire shops, having a few vehicals for rent. Insted of taken a bus to a major U-haul center, a local rental place was with in a 5 minet walk, from my house. Thanks U-haul.

Clean the truck especially inside - it was dirty!. I Checked the mileage via photo before taking the truck and what was charged to me for mileage is a big discrepancy. I am requesting a refund of the gas charge to me.
