I booked my uhaul 1 week in advance and their system let me reserve the spot at noon on 31st January, but when I got there to pick up my uhaul at about 11:50, they told me they don’t have a uhaul!!! They said I was over booked and that there were more people than trucks booked and that they were just waiting for me ! 1st thing, why were you WAITING!!!! Why didn’t you inform me prior to the booking date if you knew I was overbooked??? Also, when I argued that I should have a truck, the guy said I am just a middle man, can’t do anything about it, call uhaul to fix it! The latest you can get a truck is at 1:30! So I called uhaul and they transferred me to 4 different agents and to each I had to explain same thing!!! When I finally got a hold of an agent, they told me they were looking around the places to find a truck but all of them were in use, and the best one was the one coming back at 1:30!!! Then I had to get that one coz I still had to move, but I asked that I will not pay for it and she replied you must pay to get the truck!!! I asked to speak with her manager but she told me there were none coz it was Saturday and she suggested complaining to customer service later on!!! HUGE SYSTEM FAILURE ON UHAUL’s SIDE!!!! YOU GUYS NEED TO DO BETTER!!! EVERYONE’s TIME IS IMPORTANT AND YOU MUST ADHERE TO RESERVATION TIMINGS!!!

Bonnie CI originally was scheduled to move 1/15/26, but was unable to as the U-Haul could not even be accessed within the parking lot, it was blocked in by other vehicles. I then rescheduled my move for 2/23/26, and the U-Haul was not ready for my pick-up time. It took an additional 40 minutes for them to get me the keys, and none of the additional materials I ordered (dollies, furniture pads) were provided. I understand these are subject to availability, however this has contributed to an overall very poor experience, and is leading me to no longer consider U-Haul for my moving needs.

VASSELLIS WWindshield wipers did not work. Very difficult to drive while it was snowing and dangerous. Was told by the shop twice I would be called back. No one had returned my calls.

My credit card was charged for the extra fees. Contacted Uhaul and they told me to get a lawyer. Plenty of other rental companies that treat their customers well - AVOID UHAUL, they're a trash company and will rip you off!!
JOHN WIt would be nice if it was possible to speak or interact with an actual person to pick up the vehicle. The pick up process, 1 hour before the pick up time is awful and stressful. I have no issues with the location or the truck but the process is terrible.

ALEXANDRA VThe customer service agent I spoke to on the phone to help with the booking was excellent. The contactless pick up in the dead of winter has lots of room to improve. There are many steps (and notice that can be provided) that could be completed in advance. I.e. verification and photo of licence etc. There are other companies that require verification of a drivers licences and all of that can be done in advance so that when you pick up the car it’s more seamless.

RAJKUMAR NThe signage could be improved. The U-Haul business is located in a building called Value Village. If it wasn't for the parked U-Haul trucks, one wouldn't know it was a U-Haul location. I tried to do an online dropoff of the truck but had problems with the site accepting the photos of the truck. Decided to dropoff at the desk and found it difficult to know where to go. The U-Haul sign at the door is very small. And once you're inside, there is no discernible U-Haul counter. I had to ask the gentleman inside where U-Haul was located. He said there isn't a desk and simply told me I can leave the keys with him, which I did.

Matthew LI was charged for 21 litres of gas. It is scam, I drove 13 miles and personally fuel it with 4 litres or more than 1 gallon. You guys are petty scammers, that try to fool people for 40 dollars . Will never use you again

Barbara HHello, everything was great with the rental except I was billed for not filling up the gas tank to the original starting point. I did this and have a photo of the original fuel level to prove it. The original record was for a gas tank at 3/4 full and it was actually slightly over 1/2 full. I communicated this to the store attendant and he said he would fix it, but it looks like this did not happen. I would like to be refunded my fuel charge of 18.74. Thank you, Evan

Jackson SI had a really great experience with U-Haul thanks to Islam. From the moment I came to pick up the truck until the time I returned it, he was extremely helpful and professional. He patiently walked me through the rental process, explained all the details I needed to know, and even gave me a few tips to make my move smoother. What impressed me most was his friendly attitude—he genuinely cared about making sure I felt comfortable and confident with the vehicle. When I came back to return the truck, Islam was just as attentive. He checked everything quickly but thoroughly, answered my questions without rushing, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s not every day you come across customer service like this. Islam went above and beyond, and I really appreciate his effort. I’d definitely recommend U-Haul at this location, and especially Islam, to anyone who needs a rental.
HUYNH NThe app wouldn’t work and I had to call customer service. Then when I finally got my license approved, the key was not in the truck. I called customer service again, and they contacted the site manager who was 2 minutes away. It took him another 20 mins to arrive and give us the key. The truck was dirty with sand.

ALEC HHonour the pickup windows in the reservation, clean the trucks, improve user experience for pickup - when I checked in to pickup my van it said no van was assigned and to call a number given. When I called the number the operator told me that they couldn’t help me and I had to go inside a pickup location. The pickup location had almost no relevant signage on where to go. The uhauls were also all blocked in. The drop off was even more unclear on what to do. This was a terrible experience and if there was any other option to rent a van I would use that over U-Haul.

Frederick HI was provided a quote upon the initial contract, and then had about 40$ added at the end for items that I never requested nor used (nor were even in the vehicle) and a big charge for gas even though I only drove 5 miles (which were also charged). This service was fine until that point and now the business seems very dishonest.
