The truck was not clean, cups on the back seat, window dirt. These are not my concerns, I was more concern on the drivability of the truck. My trip was to Los Angeles and back to sun valley and the transmission septs slipping all the way. It took 20 minutes to fill the fuel tank because the flow sensor was inoperable apparently not reported by prior user or not serviced by UHAUL technicians. However, Foy at Sun Valley location gave excellent service.Tom D.

I got there around 2pm on Sunday. There was no one there. I was told they closed at 4. The positive thing about UHaul is that the online rental process is very good, and then when there was a drop-off problem I got a call from someone at UHaul.Mark L.

The manager misled me on my total bill when I originally rented the truck. Lachelle Rosales is the manager and she knew, because I clearly discussed it with her, that I was doing a round trip from that location to the p/u address in Brentwood. She quoted me a total of $42.50 as an estimated final charge and told me that it was inclusive of the price of the box truck. I even restated to her, saying, "That's a good price for a small truck and a round trip from Sun Valley to Brentwood." I wound up needing to make two trips, albeit, between the origin and destination with no route deviation. So, after I filled up the truck to return it, she told me the total bill was $120, due to the mileage. I was anticipating much less due to the conversation, she, Lachelle Rosales, and I had the day before, but today, she tells me WAY DIFFERENT. Either she's an idiot and doesn't understand what "round trip" means, even when I used my fingers on the desk to show example of distance between point A and B and back to A, OR, it IS company wide policy to give false numbers on the estimate in a ploy to fleece the customer. Either way, I am more than upset with her ignorance, as I would have left the U-Haul in West LA rather than drive it back. Her original total of $42.50 (inclusive of $19.99 rental truck) meant I was expecting $22.50 for mileage plus tax on the truck based on her total, and clearly agreed and understood that this was a total for a ROUND TRIP!!! meaning....Double the $22.50 and you have my final bill. I was expecting my final bill to be around $65 based on my thorough conversation with Lachelle Rosales, and it was nearly double that. I feel manipulated and cheated and I'd like you to refund me the difference. What I am saying, is that since Lachelle Rosales is not intelligent enough to give proper information to the customer, I shouldn't be punished. I would like a refund for the difference of the milage total (half it) and that's it. If you do that, I will feel like the company cares about the customer and I'll continue to use your services. BTW, I was the only customer in the store the entire time, so Lachelle Rosales was not distracted by anything or anyone, she just gave me wrong information because she lacks the ability to understand the meaning of round trip. i am not pleased with uHaul services today and i believe it may have more to do with follow up than it has to do with this location. Id originally scheduled my uHaul pick up for 6121 Lankershim Bl, North Hollywood, CA. When I arrived, I was told there was no truck and that I was suppose to go around the corner to 11666 Victory location. I drove to that location only to rudely be told I had no reservation there and there were no trucks available. I then returned to Lankershim location to then be told that I need to drive to another city to pick up a truck and that I should have been notified. By this time, I had hired workers who had been waiting for a truck to load up. I then drove to Sun Valley, CA to pick up a truck. My biggest issues: I was not notified of this change, neither by phone, text, or email until later that afternoon. By that time, I was completing my move and ready to return truck. The rudeness and inability to assist at 11666 Victory Bl The incompetence of the uHaul locations to adequately assist with my problem The additional gas mileage for a location in another city, which I never requested. I would love to speak with someone about being monetarily reimbursed for these expenses that I have incurred through no fault of my own.Lodric C.

This was the back-up location when the truck intended for me wasn't returned to the location where I booked. This was a bummer. I was also promised a $50 refund for the first truck not being available. This has yet to materialize. All of the to say, Trojan was a great experience.Cynthia S.

The employee was amazing, her customer service was great; however, the overall experience was horrible. I have rented thru your company before; however, this is the first time I rented online. When I got to the storage the told me I had selected a big truck , when I know I had selected on the smallest pick up truck. This is the reason why I drove 4 cities away, because it stated that this was the only one that had a small pick up truck available. When I got there I come to realize that they don't even have those available there. I felt like I got cheated! At this point I couldn't go somewhere else! I was on a time schedule! I am almost 9 months pregnant and driving this huge truck and paying more for mileage didn't make this experience a great one at all.MIRIAM A.

Contract No.: 97830001 This message is Not for the sore location It is for phone call That I received on Aug, 6 2014 at 12:11pm . Customer representative from U-haul called me and harassed me about where is the Truck. I have told her that I have Dropped the truck of at the same location where I have rented it and that I have dropped the key ant the drop off box. She stated that truck is not there in a very rude voice. I have told her to look at the cameras and she simply hang up on me. Two minutes later I received e-mail confirmation that truck was returned. I guess that she called the Trojan Storage and confirmed that truck was returned. I don't appreciate this kind a behavior from a customer service at all. I hope this person that called me get's coached on to how to professionally speak to customers. I also hope that management can fix this so it dos not happen again. Thank you for understanding. It's very difficult with all U-Haul locations to call and get through directly for simple directions about how to use the vehicle, or questions regarding details about the return of the vehicle, etc. I usually end up on hold being transferred to the central calling center and waiting a very long time on hold, just to get a simple question answered, like: what does the "tow haul" light mean and do I need to be worried about it or not. This is not specific to this location, I have always found the people I work with at locations nice to work with, but overall U Haul customer service in terms of time it takes to get the phone answered scores VERY LOW in my book.MICHAEL S.
The only issue is when I extended the reservation, I asked customer service at the 800 number if I would be charged another insurance fee. They said no it was a one time charge. Now I see I was charged more. Not to thrilled with that.INEZ L.
Everything was quick and easy. Was a last-minute rental, reserved online then picked up the truck. Facility seems new and clean, checkout was easy, as was the return. Don't rent from this location! When I returned the truck around 3:30pm I had just filled it with gas, the service lady said that she is going out to lunch, but to leave the truck there and she would take care of the paper work, I get a call from her at 5:20pm and she said that gas has not been added and went ahead and billed my card for what ever she thought was appropriate. In short be carful when renting from this location, and if you have a choice rent from another location.oganes Y.

The problem was not so much with the location. It was fine. But the reservation was messed up on the U-Haul end. You had me down for a three-hour rental instead of a three-day rental, which then caused confusion for another customer who had the same thing happen to him, so he had to go to a different location to rent a van. The van had debris from some construction or building materials in it. And the gas was 3/4 full when I rented it, although the paperwork said 7/8. There is no line in the van gauge for 7/8. So I filled it to 3/4, then had to go back out and add more to get it back to the mythical 7/8 mark. I will not be using U-Haul again.JEFF T.
I was surprised at the amount of gas it took to fill the tank. It showed just slightly below full . Only went from Sun Valley to Oak St in Pasadena to Lakeview Terrace to drop off the load then to Sun Valley to drop off the van . It took $26.00 to fill it.bob H.

I made my reservations online & thought I was reserving a truck & moving supplies to be picked up at a location very close to my house, and which has a very early opening time on Saturday. Instead, U-Haul left me a message at 4:30 on Friday to let me know I was to pick up my truck at this location which is 20 miles from my home and doesn't open until 10 o'clock on Saturday. As soon as I got the message I immediately called the owner/manager of the pick up location. He was VERY accommodating and stayed late on Fri. so I could have the truck early on Saturday morning. However, when I went to pick up the truck he did not have all the accompanying items I had reserved for my move (2 hand trucks, a furniture dolly and a tow dolly for my car). He had only a tow trailer which I did not want.AMY E.
