Everything went well regarding the pick-up, and the equipment was fine. However, the drop-off and the final charge on my credit card is where things went wrong. I never saw a U-Haul employee in person, which is fine. I got a code for the key box to pick up the truck and was able to put the key in a drop box when I returned it. It was a two-day rental that I picked up on a Wed at 3:18 pm, and I returned it on Friday at 2:45 pm. At 3:40 pm I got a text asking if everything was okay because the truck "needed to be returned 1 hour ago." I was confused, so I called to tell him that the truck had already been dropped off at 2:45 pm. He said, "Ok, well I haven't been by there. Don't worry, you won't be charged extra." Then I get my final receipt in my email, and I was overcharged! It said the truck had been returned on Saturday morning at 7:45 am. Not only was I charged for an extra day of rental, insurance, environmental fee, and dolly/pads; but an extra dolly and additional pads had been added as well. I called the location to let him know that I was overcharged over $100! He apologized and said he would "take a look at it." I never got a call back or a refund and it's been over a month. I have called and texted many times and have been completely ghosted. So frustrating and such poor business practices.

billy bI was told I would pay $316 to change to a location they determined for drop off - I did so and got charged over $400 and the drop off location said they couldn’t help. I also let them know that the ac worked for about 20 min and then blew hot air for the remainder of my 3 hour drive and they said they’d note that for the next person. I rented the truck from Abilene and my husband rented a trailer in magnolia to move my daughter and not happy at all with the experience
