Twisted Metal was great, they were easy to work with and very friendly. We had to pick up the truck after hours , so had to use the phone check out process and it SUCKS. It was difficult and made it impossible to use. When we called U-Haul to get help, it took an hour to get a call back. That is unacceptable... Once we got a person on the phone, they were EXTREMELY HELPFUL and guided us through the check in, but it took over an hour and a half to get checked in ( one hour for call back and another thirty minutes on the phone) I will never rent a truck again from U-Haul, if this is the process.

Although the salado uhaul was great, the days began with a uhaul challenge. I had made a reservation at a different location, and when I arrived , they not only did not have a truck for me , but no other location in the immediate area would answer their phone to see if they had a truck available. ( it was after 9am) .

The only reason I had to go to this location was because of a flaw in the U haul system that lost my first reservation. I proceeded per the instructions with the check in. When I arrived at the first location, nothing was in the system. The first reservation person searched for inventory local and nothing was available. What was found was 25 mins away. The person at Twisted metal was nice. The location was not pristine. The 20 footer truck was filthy. Mud on the driver side floor, gas, and brake pedals. The inside was not clean. We were glad to get a truck, but not happy about cleaning and sanitizing the inside the truck while trying to load. The packing blankets were not clean as well. The person just threw them in the back of the truck. Some of the blankets were in a bag and others were unfolded on top of the bag. I feel like they did not feel like it was important to provide me with quality equipment per your national claim for uhaul services.

This was the worst experienced. I was scheduled for an 8am pickup. When arrived they place was still locked. I called the phone number and the woman that answered was still asleep. We didn’t end up getting the truck until after 10AM. I lost out on $200 as I was paying people to help move starting at 8am. So they got paid to stand around and wait. I would never recommend this place.

The service from Twisted Metal Automotive was excellent. However the customer service from U-Haul was terrible. When I reserved my truck I received a message the very next day saying my pickup location had been changed to a location 14 miles further away. When I called to ask why, thinking maybe Twisted Metal did not have a 15' truck, I found out that Twisted Metal did have a 15' truck and my pickup location had been changed for no good reason at all. Because of this mistake I had to spend over an hour on the phone with U-Haul customer service just to get my reservation changed BACK to what I had requested originally. It was a colossal waste of my time and I never should have had to do it.

Pickup time was 8:30, worker arrived at 8:45, we left there around 9am. We were given 9 blankets instead of 12, did not realize until that night while loading. Location was closed the next day so we were short. After picking up the truck we had to call because the dolly was not in the truck like we were told, they did drive the dolly to us right away. Friendly people but check your equipment before you leave.

twited meal owner should be sure employees know they should help people dropping off u haul equip, instead of totally ignoring them and now u haul wants to know where we returned the tk, so guess they diddnt let u haul know the tk was there, He pulled in with little help, junloaded at storarge place next door, then went to drop the tk off at twisted metal, near salado, tx.,,guy working totally did nothing to help even to help in hitch the car, after being here awhile we have heard good things about twisted metal co. Then the truck was rough and old wa. to texas was a terrible trip in it..

I was told the 10 footer had a ramp to load and un load, it did not which made the project I did much harder. I was also told to fill it up before bringing it back which I did even though I only put in 5 gallons it still filled if up past the fill mark of when I picked it up. I have done business with you quite a few times in the past and this time is the first time I would rate it average. I have done business with this company before when I dropped off a 20ft truck and was over charged, but U-Haul straitened that out. The owners of this companyl a very good, I believe it is only the person that does the U-Haul.
