The website is very misleading in terms of price. It doesn't calculate cost per mile and doesn't even mention it. It quotes you a price that is no where near what you pay. It would have especially good to know that cost per mile is doubled on weekends!

It wasn’t clear to me the furniture blanket things were rentals so I threw them all away after and got a massive charge. Really not clear at all. The rest of the process was great but that was a pretty crappy way to end it.

This was probably the WORST experience I’ve had with any company. I followed all instructions to pick up the truck using the app. I got to the location and spent an hour on the phone with the 24/7 pick up service while they walked me thru the app. They couldn’t get my picture to upload. Then they said we are try to fix some issues we are having with the app. Then they said just go home and come back in the morning when someone’s at the location...a 35 minute drive each way. WHY PUT OUT AN APP FOR CUSTOMERS TO USE IF ITS NOT FULLY READY?!?

I reserved a 26 foot truck but only a 20 foot was available. I was not notified of this in advance. That’s bad customer service. The gentleman who checked us in was efficient and helpful. I would use uhaul again but definitely double check availability of what you requested.

My original reservation at Old Bridge was cancelled the day before and I had to scramble to get a truck from another location (Englishtown). This was unacceptable. Why take a reservation at Old Bridge if you cannot keep that reservation at Old Bridge. I am not happy with this at all.

I showed up 2 weeks in advance of my trailer reservation to have my vehicle inspected per their email request, the dude at the counter barely looked at the car and said you should be fine. On the day of the reservation, another dude during check-in asked me a bunch of questions and kept telling me corny jokes. After 30min he told me that I can't get a trailer because of the harness. I showed him magnetic lights I was using on other trailers without any issues, but he still refused to give me the trailer. The following day I got the harness they required and eventually, the trailer was released. However, I wasted half-day as I had to rewire my car. WTF people! if you request customers to come for inspection, actually do them. I wasted multiple hours for a relatively simple problem that was preventable if the staff at this facility actually did their job.

Reservations was originally confirmed for east Windsor and then changed last minute. This happens all the time so I will have to look for another company that doesn’t always send me out of my way.

The mobile pick up was painless and a clear easy process. The YouTube tutorial was very helpful and I knew exactly what to expect so the pickup process was quick and easy. Would definitely use again!

Although reserving online for counter pick-up the check-in process took way to long. All information had to be read-entered anyhow, twice. Otherwise, great employees and a brand new cargo van. Thanks for the terrific experience.

Was told I would not be charged the "convenience charge". ...as long as I check the truck out online at the store parking lot when I'm done. Wrong, still charged anyway. Waste of my time and effort. Ordered appliance dolly, was not available at pick-up. Screwed my whole move up. Ridiculous.

Having the hand truck and bags hanging inside of the truck almost made me not fit the furniture that I needed in by a few inches which would have made it pointless to rent the Uhaul. Perhaps it could be asked if people need that and put it in afterwards if requested instead of assuming it’s needed. Sometimes all you need is just that little bit of space that a hand truck and big bag of blankets is taking up.

Do not try to get the keys using after hours pickup , because Uhaul has defective software in their system. Only use human beings , they are helpful , but you must wait a very long time on hold to get a real person on the phone just put on speaker phone and wait that long time for the person to help Reserve your truck . Only that way you will get success.

This is the second time in two years I had to move and used U-Haul. The first time, I had a reservation for a larger truck and they they told late the day before it was not available anymore. I had to get a smaller truck and they provided a month of free storage in there smallest unit. It was all a big inconvenience. This time I reserved a smaller truck from a location close to my home, for a Sunday pickup. They changed my pickup location. I needed to use my phone to pick up a truck at an open U-Haul location and if I converted the reservation from the app to the retail store, I would be charged $$. The retail location was useless.The app was difficult to get to work and you needed approval with an alternate contact. The whole method is aggravating on top of the stress of moving. I get nickle and dime for fees and over mileage that U-Haul created for me. I'll probably have to move in a year or two again and crossing my fingers that a different truck rental company does this better. This system is bad for the customer, but it must be good for U-Haul's bottom line.

It was a great experience. The representatives on both sides were wonderful. The only problem I encountered was spending over a half hour on the phone trying to schedule the delivery in my new home. I was transferred to 4 different people. Finally Kim was able to help and brought the container the next day. She was wonderful as well as the woman who helped us in NJ. I didn’t get her name though.

I reserved a van online and order was confirmed, Day before pickup was called and told for the van i had to drive over 20 minutes to pickup the van, not at the location that i selected, I ended up with a larger truck as i did not want to be inconvenienced. When i picked up the truck the lady at the store said they never allow one way rentals of the van from this location. If that is the case then why was my ordered confirmed, The first lady was also very rude. She said when i got the link if i had any questions to come back in, i immediately came back in and she disappeared for 30 minutes. FInally a nice lady came and went over all the damage with the x Marks, How do you expect someone to see all the xmarks especially those high up and the small unclear picture in the link. there were x marks everywhere. I would not recommend uhaul after this experience. U have rented before and did not have this issue.

The people at U-Haul Moving & Storage go above and beyond to make the moving experience as painless as possible whether it be just a few items or a truckload. Their suggestions are helpful and they are truly friendly and kind. I wish the climate controlled storage had an elevator so I could move my long-term storage unit over to their facility. I recommend using this U-Haul location to everyone I know.

The office was unattended for 10 minutes upon my arrival. The storage unit size is less than advertised (10 x 20) is more like 9.5 X 18.5 instead. Very slow process for signing contract.

Poorly maintained units. The handle on my unit was rusted through.The door fell off its springs/rack and would recoil at the top after fighting it to stay up. Reported & never fixed. Dangerous
