Dropped off after hours so no contact with anyone but nice storefront and easy drop off
BRENDA HNot a comment for this store, but we pre-paid for mileage and reserved a truck at one location and then less then 24 hours before the pick-up time we were told we had to change locations. This created a longer overall drive and then we were charged an additional amount for extra mileage. Is changing the location when you’ve already made all the arrangements and charging more a standard practice?
DANIEL MVehicle return was complicated as there is little room for parking. I picked up the vehicle with about 1/4 tank of fuel which should not be allowed.
David SWe were charged for 2 Dollie’s when only one was available and don’t know who to contact. Otherwise communication was great with the location.

Also, I’m older and not really phone app savvy so I would recommend to you an quick instructional video or step by step instructions that can be viewed/printed out for us older folks to help us navigate through your phone app. I had to call and have a person walk me through the process while picking up and dropping off the truck. Thank you!

Andrew GI wasn’t provided with any extra purchases I bought. I ordered a furniature dolly and 6 extra cover mats, either of which were provided because the location was closed. I planned on these items for moving and had to call a moving company for service since I couldn’t use the dolly to wheel things myself. I was not reimbursed for the inconvenience of hiring someone for their mistake. I was told I could go and pick one up but would not be reimbursed for any extra mileages caused again by their mistake. Some of my furniture ended up getting scuffed due to lack of covers and mattresses soiled on the dirty floors. Uhaul did not seem to care that they made a mistake and I was the only one who paid for it, and it costs thousands. I will never recommend Uhaul again as they did nothing to make this right.

zachary mIt’s a no working person location and when we went to take it back they had reserved it for someone else but wouldn’t let us drop it back off it was a mess. They wanted us to bring it to another location but our reservation said to bring it back to the same location.

Kristofor bThis was the best U-Haul truck I have rented. Negative comments.... The remote check in process is a bit time consuming..... and maybe there is no alternative to this. It took probably 20-25 minutes....and I had reviewed the process several time before hand. Also, the fuel consumption was terrible! I drove 115 miles and put $49.50 of gas in at $2.98 a gallon! Equals a bit over 6.9 miles mpg!
Donald PThe U-Haul portion of my experience was tremendous. The issues arose with U-Haul's partnered moving labor company, who arrived two hours late to my previous home. While they were awesome workers and did a good job, they told us the reason they were two hours late were because their boss sent them to "an emergency appointment," which directly pushed our move back and added an extra two hours to my window with the U-Haul. Unclear at this time if the moving labor company will compensate me for this additional time.
Mia OSue made the whole experience so much greater! We’ve been decided to pick up a storage unit. The truck was ready to go, clean, and with enough fuel. So processed meat, Sue walked us through everything very clearly. We will definitely come back.

Kory HWhen I went to return the truck I went to the office. The women worker was talking on her phone and told me to use the online service to return. I was in a rush and the online return process (taking all the pictures) took up a lot of my time. The return process would have been better if staff could assist in doing that process.
David DTried dropping off the truck at this location, as scheduled, but was unable to do it through the web or app. There was no one at this location to provide assistance, and I had to call 1-800. The representative was extremely helpful, and allowed me to drop off vehicle. Overall very stressful experience. Glitchy app and website make it impossible to do this transaction seamlessly. Wasted lots of energy making phone calls, and trying to figure out how to make it work.
Darya PThe first place the manager was unable to show up for work -- so I waited 50 minutes at a facility instead of being at work. When I finally reached someone at UHaul I was needlessly cold transferred back into the service loop 6x before someone could assist. After that I was given a $50 credit for having to go a 2nd time to pick up the truck drive another 6 miles away and take a 2nd set of time off from work. The manager at that site came to the door and told me everything must be done over the phone and then shut the door on me. Don't people ever help people any more?
Jason NSevers seem a little slow and mobile pick up is the only option. That is a bit frustrating.
Jessica MPickup process had so many gaps and was confusing. We reserved our truck one month prior to the move with another location and it was switched to a new location at the last minute. The rep said we had to complete pickup on our mobile phone but the signal was terrible. So the rep completed the process.

JAMES BIf a customer books a truck three weeks out with Moving pads and furniture dollies they should not find out 48 hours before the rental that the location only has one dolly instead of two and cannot provide moving pads. Moving pads are an essential part of a full house move!
Tim TMobile pickup and drop off is a little tricky but overall good experience.

Theotokes KMy pickup was CHANGED to this location by UHaul the day before and the required hand truck was not provided. I was dropped off for my scheduled pickup prior to my 8am appointment and a move team waiting on me. However, upon working through the process online the system asked if I could find and ACCESS my assigned vehicle. I did find the truck however it was completely blocked in by other trucks. I selected no and was told to call a local number. I explained the situation to the operator who stated that in effect, I'd have to wait for an hour for the store operator to arrive. So, I stood outside, fanning away the bugs in the heat and humidity until the store manager arrived. She was then finally able to move the truck that had mine blocked in and I was able to get on my way an hour and 15 minutes after I had arrived and past my scheduled pick up. While UHaul is apparently giving me $50 back (as I understand it) just the lost hour (plus) for both myself and the moving team I had waiting on me cost far more than this. If UHaul is going to provide this "do it yourself" service they must have an ability to respond in these situations MUCH more promptly and should have signs VERY clearly posted where the returning renter was to park the vehicle after hours (as was apparently not the case here). Honestly I've not been more irritated than I was while waiting for any assistance to get me on the road. Thankfully the store manager did handle it quickly when she did arrive.

IOAN CTerrible experience dropping off equipment. After looking at receipt why is there an “after hours service” fee? I dropped the rental off before the scheduled time , and nothing was serviced by anyone? Can this please be explained, and more so highlighted where in rental agreement that is stated? Would there still be a “service” charge if the rental was dropped off at the destination at the time of 1300? Please respond to these question as of now myself, and extended families business will be with your competitors like Budget or Penseke. rpcerveny@hotmail.com

Jocsan BThe check in process failed at Step 1 because the system wouldn't take my photo. After many many tries I had to call tech support to return the truck. I will never use the 24/7 service again. There is nobody at this location to help.
Kelly SNothing with the truck or location, this is the 2nd time I’ve used the mobile option to pick up/drop off and both times I had issues where I had to start over in the app to get things to work. I also had entered my DL info ahead of time then had to do it again day of. I just think there are some minor improvements to be made here.

Christopher AOnline process is horrendous. Provided info online then asked for again, plus additional info I dont have easy access to at the time of pick up. Location was labeled in person yet the person there said I had to check in online. You can reserve multiple trucks without creating an account but then have the system be confused when you do create an account.
Kevin JI thought it was ridiculous for the customer to have to do the employee’s job by checking out the vehicle, taking pictures and notating what is wrong etc. Then when we tried submitting you button never allowed us to actually submit it. What’s the point of the employee inside if we have to do their job?

Howard MI ordered five dozen furniture pads and a Dolly. There was a small rectangular dolly that laid in the floor without anything to grab. It looked like a mechanic would use it to work under a car. I had zero furniture pads…….ZERO! I called customer service and she told me that I was not charged. I Needed to be charged as I ordered them and I needed them and wanted to pay for them. I had no time to go to the nearest U-Haul which opens at 10 I was 30 minutes away without any guarantee that they would even have the furniture pads. Needless to say I destroyed several blankets and dented a few items. I can’t believe no one contacted me to let me know they were not in stock

John MThis has nothing to do with the location, but the "no touch" process is cumbersome. We should be past the need to have the customer do the lion's share of the work in picking up and returning equipment during what are normal business hours. Not to mention that the process has an underlying tone of distrust of the customer.
Max BI requested 2 dozen blankets. None. I thought the 24/7 option for a regular truck renter takes way too long. Great location but I prefer a full service facility.
Kirk WThe on line check-in did not work for us as it would not recognize my phones location. Although the storage facility where we picked up the truck was closed a representative saw we were having and came out to help. She administered our paperwork and we were on our way. Great customer service.
John MI had several issues with scheduling and extending my rental. The 1-800 Go Uhaul customer service line is worthless for assistance. I attempted to use it on 3 occasions and after waiting for 30-mins on each attempt I finally hung up.
Eric SOne thing I wish is that this location had was Wi-Fi because when I try to upload your information my Wi-Fi was not strong and it took forever. I know other locations have public Wi-Fi please consider public Wi-Fi if that’s the only way that you can actually rent out a vehicle is by the customer having to log onto the Internet to secure the U-Haul. Because you have to be at the location in order to check out your vehicle and return your vehicle.

This is also a well managed self storage location that we have used for some time. We recommend this as well.
