I called twice, and my husband called again before we left for drop off, to make sure we could drop off on HiWay 59 in Detroit Lakes. When we got there we were told we couldn't leave it there. After about half an hour, we were told we had to go to Hiway 10 in DL. There was no visible code to scan and we spent almost another half hour to be told by a nice person on the phone, that we could just leave the keys without going thru the hassles.Sandra G.

The vehicle should of never been rented but was forced to rent from out of fargo to be able to rent for multiple days even though fargo had trucks every day. Of all the moves with uhaul this was the worst exp.Ashley K.

Operator went above & beyond to get me a 26' rental; however my experience earlier with U-Haul was very disappointing. I was supposed to pick up my 26' rental at West Fargo at 7am, only to be told they had no such truck, despite my reservation weeks in advance. I had to drive 1 hour away hours later to get the truck at Detroit Lakes. Then I ended up having to buy $100 of blankets fro my mover, cuz my rental didn't have the blankets or follies I had ordered.KURT S.

Using the phone pick up and return was a real pain in the ... Especially when returning and trying to get a dash picture at night with the odometer light causing a blurry almost unreadable picture to send. Sooo frustrating! Otherwise ok.Keith S.

There was no one there to check in i was unfamiliar with the way it was set up could not get to a live agent to help me check in there were customers waiting to pick the vehicle up. I did not get my one way free storage rental as they were not a participating drop off site. Pa. The female person I spoke to who was an agent in Fargo for the incoming customers picking up the truck was rude, threatening to charge me$300 late fee. I was charged a late fee of a day due to not being able to check in but i disputed it as not being able to check in online due to requested new password was denied had to wait for a long period of time to reach a live person. I wouldn't have been late if i could have gotten through with the check in. But had to get live agent to send me a code to access check in.I was refunded the charge. So would be great with more of an education on the issues that arise with check in and less time to reach a live agent.Rachael L.

You need to improve the terminology on your app! When I went to pick up my truck, I opened my order on the app and could find ONLY three options: "cancel my reservation", "change my reservation", or "convert to truck share". NOTHING said "start my check-in" from the order page. I wasted 20 minutes trying to find help to explain what I was supposed to do. The option should say "start my checkin". You could save lots of annoyance!David W.

The manager of the Detroit Lakes office was extremely helpful. The U-haul app/website, however, was totally useless and very frustrating. It never did work even after changing passwords. If it wasn't for the manager's help we would not have been able to pick up the truck.Greg P.
