Mary MWe didn't supervise the loading. I suggest covering furniture pieces with pads consistently. My hollywood bed frame was loaded without cover and marred the wood finish on a chair. If possible keep all boxes in upright position verses laying them sideways to fit more in. I'm not mad.

Sandra BU-Haul staff were great—from customer service to box delivery and pick-up people. They were all patient, friendly, and helpful. We watched the videos with packing tips; used bungee cords and ratchet straps to keep everything secure. Everything was delivered just as it was packed—not a scratch on anything. Pick-up and delivery was as scheduled; communication throughout the process was excellent. Very happy.
Jean WTerrible experience! My movers could not reach anyone at the alameda location to arrange to pick up the boxes. The packets I booked through u haul did not provide me the screws to attach the tv to its stand or the plug to plug it in. I haul wanted to charge me $1000 to move two boxes from LA to Oxnard, a distance of 66 miles.
trish eWalter was excellent. My move was stressful and nearly imploded, but he fixed everything and went above and beyond. I will only use uhaul for moves going forward thanks to him. He is a real treasure, and i hope the company realizes it!
BRANDEE CI did reserve 2 boxes and only needed 1 but that was because we ended up not moving as much as we thought we would. Everything and everyone was excellent! First time doing this and it worked perfectly! Grateful for your hard work, excellent customer service, and superb coordination! If needed again we will definitely choose Uhaul!

lisa pThe movers didn’t contact me, I had to contact them the day before and they still didn’t respond. I got them the day of and they said they would show up at 1-2pm. I ordered three pods and at 3pm they showed up with one pod. Mover showed up in Penske truck with his dog, girlfriend and a man. The man and mover loaded the pod up. Mover took it back but left behind his helper who then left. This was around 5pm when the uhaul location closed. In this time, I did not hear back from the movers for 4 hours after reaching out to them via text and call. Finally he let me know he was 5 minutes away with the second pod. I thought “great he didn’t ghost me and we’re back on track.” Unfortunately, I was wrong. His helper left so it was just him for the second pod. As the location was closed, my third pod was no longer an option, so he shoved everything he could in the second pod and took ALL of my furniture apart. I was forced to leave behind several pieces of furniture and pay an additional day in my apartment as they didn’t finish until past 12pm and I had to figure out how to get rid of the left over furniture. I paid for 3 pods for a reason and was unable to use all three due to Uhauls recommended vendor. I lost thousands of dollars due to Uhauls failures. I have also tried to contact their help line several times and have had no luck. Please don’t book with them and I need Uhaul to contact me ASAP.

monecia sSome reps are unfriendly and unhelpful. Terrible communication between the schedulers and drivers. I rented 4 U-Boxes in Missouri, had them shipped here, and have been having them delivered one at a time, I unload them, then schedule to have them picked up. The first two went without issue, but lately I have been having lots of problems. I guess I just got hooked up with some people with terrible customer service or work ethic, as of late. The girl that drives the truck and delivers the pods seems to be pretty good, but most times I have to give her instructions because U-Haul has not. That's not her fault.
TYLER HThe store gave me a window of when my boxes would be picked up and I was never contacted by the driver that day to pick them up despite calling the store back multiple times to check in. When we rescheduled, the drivers also missed the window that I had agreed on with the store and then didn't call me when they were on their way to get the boxes and showed up very late. I will not be working with U-Box again.

CATHERINE RNothing about this process was good. Initial representative misquoted the number of boxes needed. I ended up ordering an extra one on the day of moving which costed me even more than ordering the correct number of pods upfront. Furniture and materials arrived damaged. I want a refund of what I paid off for this terrible service

The person who scheduled the shipping to STL put my ubox on a 2 box dolly in stead having it delivered with a forklift even though she knew my street had tight parking so the driver had issues delivering the box and taking up un-needed space The driver was ghetto, loud, rude, yelled at my several times and hung up the phone on my mid conversation

Suzanne SWhen arriving to the Los Angeles warehouse, my two boxes got split up onto separate reservations. This made the scheduling of the moving company more complicated than it needed to be. The employee at the warehouse found my 2nd box and helped me begin getting everything corrected, but this mistake caused me to be on the phone with Moving Help's customer service for about 2-3 hours.

Anayanci FI purchased 2 containers originally for a 1 bedroom apartment, needed 3. Adding the third box was slightly challenging and making sure it was shipped on time was hard to tell. Unfortunately, my furniture was not delivered the day it was supposed to be delivered. I tried to get help about this issue but U-Haul told me to ask the movers for a discount and the movers said it was U-haul's fault so nobody helped me at all. My boxes, per the movers, was sent to the wrong facility not on the paperwork so they could not get access to the boxes on the original date and I lost two days of wages at work because of this issue but U-Haul brushed me off and never helped me, saying to go to the movers. It was U-Haul that gave the movers the wrong facility on their paperwork, causing he movers to go to that facility, not find the boxes, and then have to schedule at another unprepared facility. So, not sure why U-haul kept sending me from department to department to ultimately not help or take note of the problem. Then, when I finally got the boxes and they were opened all my furniture had a terrible smell. Most has to be replaced. Apparently, the U-haul approved movers that loaded my boxes also packed a bag of garbage with my items--this bag of garbage I have no idea where it came from but it caused the entire 3 boxes to stink horribly. My clothing has this smell, my furniture, my towels, everything stinks horribly and I still haven't gotten the smell out of the house or furniture. If you use any of these Uhaul services, be extremely careful about what is being put in the boxes while things are being moved. There was a bar stool with my items that did not belong to me also having a terrible smell was put into my boxes.

Michela IThe concept is wonderful but staff really needs to be trained on process and communication – the entire process of finding out when the box was being picked up and dropped off (on both ends in Venice, CA and The Colony, TX) was so incredibly frustrating, and made our move that much harder. If you say you will reach out to a customer with info, do so. Otherwise, don't send emails saying you will.

BILLIE MEverything was good for us. The u-box must have taken some beating on the way to us: some of the wooden structure was a bit degraded compared to what we saw prior to our loading. I suppose this is just wear and tear.
