I appreciate the understanding of the personnel due to our situation, we had a horrible experience in Albuquerque, New Mexico and didn't find anyone friendly until I spoke with the worker here, he seemed to be the ONLY friendly, helpful person I met in this whole town

My U-Haul was found I was not notified until I was sent receipt for 8 thousand dollars and some change. Very unhappy. I had called multiple times to check on status and never heard back now I'm being charged an outrageous amount. And My things are not being returned to me.
Paulette RTo begin, I actually picked up the truck at the Juan Tabo location. I went through online and put in my info as well as my drivers license. The system would not recognize my ID and kept saying it needed to be “updated” in the system. I had to call customer service and I talked to a first person who was not able to help me. I was transferred to a second who (from my understanding) had to seek help from someone else.. I was put on hold for about 10-15 minutes. This was almost a 30 minute phone call, time that I had to wait to see what we could do about this issue. In the end, we had to start from scratch via the telephone and give all my info once again. It was a very unpleasant experience and I had to wait and also the people I had hired to help with the move, had to wait and I still had to pay them for that time they waited for me. The truck was in good conditions but on my way to return the truck, the check engine light turned on. I’m very dissatisfied with these services and if someone would like to contact me about getting a refund, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise, I would not recommend U-haul whatsoever.
Bianca MI would warn everyone to ask 1 question first - does the vehicle have an alarm ! I would never rent from U-Haul again. U-Haul is the most dysfunctional, incompetent and poor run company I have ever dealt with.
RALPH MThe pickup of the trailer was fine and everything that they did was completely fine. What was not done was the extremely painful problem. I was not told that moving trailer thefts is now a HUGE crime spree and happening all the time. I was not told or given any ideas at all as to what I could do to help protect my belongings. I put a lock on the back as I am generally a very cautious person. My trailer containing everything that I own was stolen off the back of my van. I LOST EVERYTHING. What uhaul did was great. It was what they did not do and did not tell me that has cost me every piece of clothing, towel, piece of furniture, camping equipment, jewelry, makeup EVERYTHING I OWN. Since the police told me this has become a HUGE problem why did you not tell me when I rented it? Why not let me know so that I can be extra cautious? Why not allow me to make an INFORMED DECISION when renting a trailer that has a fairly high probability of being stolen? Just disclose the risk!!! Why would that have been to much to ask? Had I known then when I know now I would have checked my property insurance before renting so I be sure my items would be covered. I might have purchased additional coverage. I might have done something else different. I do not know what but something. Instead I sit dumbfounded that I litereally just lost EVERYTHING I OWN. EVERYTHING. Shame on you Uhaul. Change the policy and let people know the risks instead of being blindsided. Enough of these are being stolen I am a little surprised no one has filed a class action lawsuit yet for not providing adequate information. Thanks for the very short phone call letting me know the trailer has been recovered with nothing in it and telling me to have a good day. No "we are sorry you have experienced this" or "we are sorry you have lost everything but we appreciate you using our company". NOTHING was sensative about the phone call. It was like being slapped in the face after being beat up. "Wanted to let you know we have recovered the trailer but there were no personal belongings inside. Thank you have a good day" That was it. SERIOUSLY! I lost everything I own and you can not even say "I am sorry you have experienced this"? Especially when your company is well aware that this is happening all the time even though THE AVERAGE PERSON LIKE ME IS NOT!!! SHAME ON YOU UHAUL.

PAM Mwith the exception of Danny who was kind to help us out. I will never use Uhaul and I will discourage everyone to use uhaul. I am very disappointed in the way things were handled.
LETICIA CWe were in an accident because the Uhaul trailer swerved out of control due to a crosswind and no braking system on the trailer. This location was of NO assistance while we were stranded in a foreign town. They charged us for extra days, when they were the ones who did not pick up the trailer on time. We had the trailer emptied and ready for pick up in the allotted time, they did not pick it up for 5 more days. This has been the most horrible moving experience I have ever had, and I am a child of the Navy. Uhaul did not communicate with each other, no one knew what to do and was of no assistance. I will never rent another Uhaul again! You may be cheaper, but your customer service is absolutely horrible. I could never speak with the same person regarding the accident. Most of the service agents responded with young slang terms and were not professional. Uhaul should look into the safety of their equipment before checking it out. It appears to be an issue that I was not the only one who had to deal with.
