Excellent and helpful staff
JESUS EHave office hours to 5:00.
James VOverall, it was fairly easy to figure out what-to-do, but some more signage or marked drop off areas would be good. It was a bit of a free-for-all with no attendants to help direct you. Also, the parking lot is definitely NOT flat. I unhooked my trailer and it rolled a little, which was scary. I had to hold it still while my friend ran and luckily was able to find/grab a wood plank to toss under the tire as a chock. So, clearer instruction and plentiful chocks would be a good addition.
Benjamin GThis unsecured, easily accessible location had no personnel present when I dropped off the trailer. I was unaware of this "feature". A bit worried that my drop-off would go unrecognized, I called national U-Haul customer service to report the drop-off. I believe that took care of it.
WILLIAM HWe dropped off after hours so did not encounter any personnel. It was easy though and convenient.
JASON DNo personnel available had to do everything ourselves
FRANKLIN AThey send you to the address of Post Oak Mall, without any clear guidance as to how to find them in the parking lot behind the mall, and they don’t even answer their phone (when you finally find a phone number to call), also Google Maps does not show this location as a U-Haul store. My son and I worked for hours trying to figure out where to return this stupid trailer! Worst U-Haul experience ever!! And I’ve rented many many times from U-Haul
Jacob TPickup instructions were unclear. The instructions made it sound like the "key box" was located on the back of the box truck. We spent several minutes in confusion searching everywhere on the truck for this key box. It was never mentioned that the key box was at a separate location on site which we couldn't see from our location. Luckily a staff member spotted us and was able to assist, but the pick-up process was overall quite stressful due to unclear instructions. I also left the screen briefly and wasn't able to retrieve the lockbox information again- a staff member had to assist us with this as well. We appreciated the staff! Did NOT appreciate the confusing and unclear pickup process.
Mason CNot a single person there and local number for it unhelpful
STEPHEN Pno directions as to where the U-Haul office was located in this giant mall. spent over half an hour driving around and called the office twice. I finally found the drop off location, but there was no one there to help with the trailer. called the office again, they said that someone should be outside, but no one was. I finally was able to unhook the trailer from my car. this drop off experience was dismal and totally unacceptable.
Aviram CThe app wasn't working when we returned the truck but I called customer service and the gentleman was phenomenal. He walked me through the return process and was very kind.
Katrina JThey did promise to call Me and give credit for the dirty trailer but never got a call.
STEVEN WThe after hours drop off purchase is an asswhip! We are doing y’all’s job with answering multiple maintenance questions, multiple pictures and not very user friendly
Arthur CUnmanned location - which was convenient.
Joseph CMost of our experience went nicely, as expected. The one thing that was frustrating was that when we went to turn in the truck at the nearest location in Bryan, TX (on University drive), we were told they couldn't accept the truck and we had to travel to another drop-off location at a mall. If we had known this in advance we could have planned for it, but we had to be back to our home city in Austin for an appointment, so this unexpected trip wasted the 30 minutes we could have used to grab lunch on the way back....and the renting location was unaware of this issue. In Bryan, we spoke with three personnel -- the first two gentleman were not rude but they were not helpful; the lady helped us make sure we knew where we needed to go (not a town we knew well).
KAREN WOnline (and on your app), it states the location is only open until 2pm during the week. In reality, it isn’t even a brick and mortar location; it’s just space rented in a mall parking lot. Most turn ins are done via drop box and does not need to be prior to a 2 o’clock “closing”. Would be nice to have known that prior to jumping thru butt to try and turn in prior to 2pm.
ROBERT AI was there before 2:00 p.m. and there was no people there to take the unit back. There were no directions beforehand on what I should do. I called the number and they just told me where to bring it.
ZANE RThe address shows to be the front door of a Dillards mall store. the actual drop off location is on the entire other side of the mall which you would not know unless you just happen to drive on the road all the way around the mall. no markings or anything.
Charles WDrop off location was confusing and there was no person able to help. Many customers were lost on how to return the vehicle!
CANDIE YNone
CHANDRASIRI DIt was the middle of an empty parking lot. Luckily one of your maintenance people came here to confirm the return.
JEROME GStill have not gotten an email after I dropped it off confirming that I done so. It should not take this long especially when I’ve called twice already.
TAYLOR HThey were so full from all of the college students moving in that they sent us to an overflow location with no staff, no directions, and no help. We had to remove the trailer ourselves. It was a terrible experience.
DANIEL WI drove up to this location and was unsure where to park the vehicle and where to put the key. A person with a U-Haul shirt came up and took the key and said I was good to go. I never received any paperwork showing my transaction was complete.
PAUL HIs just a drop off area just happened to find attendant by accident by driving around lot looking for spot to drop trailer. He instructed us to spot and unhooked trailer which is nice then said we were good to go. I never got any notification that trailer was returned back so went by next day and did the online return taking pictures and filling out questionnaire then got confirmation of return.
ROBERT PDropped in a parking lot due to the large number of returns in College station so the last two questions Re. Ot really relevant. The process was easy.
MICHAEL MThere were no personnel to help with the drop off. This is the second time that I have used this location to return a trailer. You have lost the human touch with the drop off.
Michael SWe returned after hours, so there were no personnel with which to interact. The app wasn’t great. Had trouble uploading the photos.
John AIt’s a remote drop off. Must use the app to turn in. The person that helped me on the call line was awesome. Helped me through it.
James BI don't like just dropping stuff off to a box and completing online bull shit. If there isn't human interaction to discuss issues I would rather not participate. I will never drop of to self service again.
TRENTON CThis location didn't have a representative when I arrived, so I had to start the self drop off process. Halfway through the process the attendant showed up and said he would handle it. Just not a professional process.
Thomas HI was a little confused by the return process as the instructions to use the app to return did not match the app, but the customer service and insight personnel were helpful and the return was overall easy and trouble free.
RUSSELL SIt was easy to return the trailer once we figured out the drop off location was behind the mall in an unused portion of the mall parking lot. Better signage would have been helpful. It was nice however to have plenty of space to park the trailer.
MELODY DArrived at 3:50 and no attendant.
SUZANNE WOutside dropping off sight but worked out fine
MATTHEW SOverflow location with zero assistance. Not sure how my wife was expected to unhook trailer. On line check in was not easy.
JEFFERY TJust a parking lot. Arrived after hours and took forever to find the key return. Also no service so couldn’t get the app to work
ZACHARY BLocation is a parking lot with few sign.
Lenore GDrop off site was not staffed, but the process was easy using the app.
Rodney RNo interaction with personel but easy drop off.
DELAINA HVery confusing drop off. All you can see when you drive in is an expansive parking lot full of trucks, trailers and no office. Pole with red box implores one to "download the APP" when dropping off after hours. It was not after hours. Finally found 2 employees who told me didn't have to download app, there was not office, drop keys in box and they would take care of it.
Daniel KGreat employee. Easy to drop off. Will use again!
ERIC AIt’s a parking lot. There is no one there, it’s self service
Margaret MIt was a mall parking lot. The sign said, wait here someone will help you soon. No one came. There was no one there. So i had to download an app, register as a user, entered my current rental agreement, take about 20 pics of the truck, enter all my data. It was ridiculous. Never again!
Morrell MThere was zero service, basically unhook the trailer and drive off was what I was told, the attendants couldn’t have cared less
John CNo one present. I am not a fan of locations that do not a person available to assist
Mike SWhat a joke! The return was the parking lot at the mall and there was a pole with a drop box. I asked a man, wearing a Uhaul shirt, what I needed to do, he said return it on the app. While I’m downloading the app, my husband unhooked the trailer and by the time the app loaded onto my phone, the trailer was being hooked up to another Uhaul truck and a car was loaded. I had no time to take pictures or try to ask/find someone to help me. I tried to chat with the online support team and that wasn’t much help as Sara was telling me to take pictures for my records. Keep I mind a crew of “drivers” were driving like maniacs all over the parking lot. I stopped one driver and asked for help. He said you’re fine, you’ll receive an email in about a half hour, that was around 4:00 PM. It’s 11:50 PM and I have yet to receive an email. I called a number and they said you’ll be ok. What kind of business practice is this hot mess? There needs to be someone in charge at the drop off who knows what to do and reassure the customer their return is complete and satisfactory. I can’t believe this is how Uhaul does business…very unprofessional.
BARTON ENot easy to find, no office building just a parking lot outside of an old mall, Hardly any signage, no directions telling you where to go and what to do, multiple people in cars just queued up we got in line behind them apparently they didn't know what to do either, had to walk around 50 trucks to finally find someone that worked there who just told me I could do it myself, used my phone to check in but the site kept hanging, eventually it went through, this process could be good, but needs a ton of work
Mike RWe had to return our trailer to a parking lot in a mall. Had to call ugaul to have someone check us in.
Brad KIt took a while before our trailer showed up on the U-Haul app. as being returned, which made us nervous since we dropped it off in the parking lot of Post Oak Mall, instead of a bona fide U-Haul location.
Salena Bquick and easy
john rDrop off was in a parking lot outside of JC Penney. No one was at the location to help with mobile return. Had connection issues & when taking a picture of the odometer & gas gauge, the U-Haul app kept shutting off. The parking lot was 100+ outside so I would recommend a temporary building to help assist people with drop off ease. Multiple people were having the same issue. No one has called to confirm return of vehicle is good
Suzette PNo personnel in this location
Janice DThis location was supposed to have an attendant there to help facilitate the return (this was noted on one of the science that I had seen.) There was no one there. The signs are confusing. There is no “station 2” (or if it was there, it was not clearly marked or easily found.) as referenced as the return point.
Mike SThe location is the very back corner of a parking lot and an old looking shopping mall, there is no office, there is no building, just a guy standing in a parking lot. However, to be fair, he could not have been more helpful and did a great job. The drop off was infinitely a better experience than the pick-up. As this location offer 24/7 pick up and drop off, I would not recommend this to a single female outside of office hours.
Richard WThere was no personal there. I was a self check out only.
Debra LThis location is a parking lot at the mall. No personnel were there to answer questions. The app is supposed to be used for the return, however, it crashed after going through all of the questions and taking the requested pictures. I called the UHaul customer support number and confirmed by phone that my return was finalized even though the app crashed during the return submission.
Chris Mnobody there to help
Michael UWith this being my second drop off location after U-Haul changed it. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process.
