The trailer we rented made terrible violent clapping noise when we pressed on the brake in our truck our truck was shaking and I hope out truck isn’t messed up because of it we let U-Haul know when we returned the trialor I hope this doesn’t happen to someone else it was really scary

Everything is great. We use UHaul occasionally for private use. If we can use the Kitsap Way UHaul everything will run smoothly. Always 100%
RITA VVehicle had check engine light and obviously had engine problems. They said they couldn't do anything about it, reset the code and had me use it anyway. They said it's a uhaul problem, and they aren't actually uhaul so they can't fix it. Driver side sun visor was broken and poorly 'repaired'. It just flopped around blocking the view and being annoying. Safety issue. And the biggest reason for 1 star rating is the new uhaul policy that requires I submit my picture to a facial recognition program. If I had any other option I would have walked away and done business elsewhere. But I was in a bind and didn't have time to look for a competitor (if there are any, pretty sure uhaul is a monopoly now). I would rate zero stars for this. Now that I know you force me to register with facial recognition programs I will never return to Uhaul. You might be a monopoly, but I will find other solutions and will encourage everyone else to do the same.
GARY HThe change oil soon light was on the whole time. The gas tank was absolutely empty with light on and line below E. Put $30 worth of gas in it. Brought it back just under 1/4 and got credited just over $3 for gas. Should have at least given me more for my gas. I really like the convenience of using U-Haul but sometimes it’s not worth it.

ALISON KI have been renting from uhaul for a long time, and a few times at this location and never had any issue until now. I had the worse experience. Started out when I went to get my truck I was told to check gas gage because they said people steal gas every night. I went to get my truck the back was open and there was stuff in back like broken glass and candles that I ha to clean out myself. Then I start car it said I had 25 miles until empty. I drive about 2 miles and start to go up an incline to go over Warren ave bridge and the truck stalls. Assuming it ran out of gas, I called the Uhaul location and they told me I had to call roadside assistance or put gas in it. I chose to have my mom come and take my mover to go get a gas can then go to gas station put gas in it and come back and meet me on side of the road to put the gas in. Meanwhile I'm waiting about an hour in middle of right lane on bridge holding up traffic. I was told all they would reimburse me is for the gas but that doesn't seem like it makes up for everything as it was a huge inconvenince it was emarrassing being stuck on side of road and dangerous. Also I was paying my movers hourly and ended up paying them for an extra hour. I don't understand why the gas was not checked prior to me picking up when they literally said that people steal gas out of the trucks every night. Makes no sense.
SHANNON TThe only problem encountered during my visit was a long delay due to U haul computer issues. The employees handled the situation to the best of their ability maintaining a professional attitude. They were very courteous and Helpful.

Jack GDash was a little dusty, no big deal I used a swifter wipe and got the dust off quickly with little effort. Exterior was a little dirty but I personally don't care about that. The truck I rented did the job I needed it to do. There was an exhaust leak at cold start but it didn't affect how the truck performed. Overall solid experience just nit picking because you asked. The tire pressure sensor light was on but I also don't care about that as all 4 tires had plenty of air.
KEVIN HThe U-Haul did not have any gas when we picked it up (completely empty), and they did not reimburse for the amount of gas we had to fill it, just to reach our destination. The last time we picked up a U-Haul truck, it was not at the designated location and we had to drive 30 minutes to it, THEN had to wait another hour for the facility to open. This delayed moving day significantly and threw the entire day off. Unacceptable. I would like to be reimbursed for the whole fiasco.
Erin DThe truck cab was clean but the back was not swept out. It didn’t have the ten moving blankets I requested, I turned around after leaving the location, noticing there were no blankets when I was fueling the vehicle. I received the vehicle with 5/16 tank of fuel. It would be nice if it was received full of fuel. I returned the truck by 2 pm on 12/24, not the 25th.
DANIEL HThe maintenance on the vehicle was not up to par. I was driving with a trailer and fully loaded in heavy rain and the windshield wiper popped off forcing me to blindly pull off the free way. I was forced to purchase a working windshield wiper and install it myself to continue my trip. I was lucky to not be seriously Injured or damage all my goods due to this.
DILLON HI’m not concerned about the equipment being filthy as long as I am not charged a cleaning fee. Upon returning the truck, I was charged for damages which I disputed, reference #5621813. I received a response from GM Kaitlyn North stating “ I cannot reverse the charges for the deductible due to A.) The walk around inspection link having not been completed to approve/dispute the condition of the equipment following your dispatch, and B.) After reviewing camera footage of BP3465A following your dispatch at 7:08am, footage showing the passenger side tail light intact in its original form.” When I asked to see the camera footage, Ms North refused. As I understand the law, when a customer disputed a damage charge, the burden of proof falls upon U-haul to provide evidence that the damage was caused by the customer. Once I provided my own image of the truck showing the damage was pre-existing, the camera footage and North originally referred to magically disappeared and the damage charge was refunded to me. I suspect the camera footage Ms North refers tov either does not exist or does not show “the passenger side tail light intact in its original form” as Ms North originally claimed. If it acceptable per common practice for U-haul branches

LEONARDO SGood folks! But the rollers for the back door's track fell apart and the door got jammed, stuck closed. This wasn't a problem while we were driving, but once we arrived it set us back a few days trying to get someone to come look at it; luckily the folks at the pickup location were able to fix it well enough to finish the move.

SHANE CRented a 10 ft truck to pu materials locally. The low tire warning stayed on. When addressing this to the staff, they said it is on all the trucks and they can only send one truck at a time for maintenance. How am I to know when a tire really is low? Wow. The interior of the truck was old and not kept in good maintenance. The drivers side visor did not have a clip to stay up, so it kept falling and blocked my view when driving. The truck engine drove fairly well, at times transmission was clunky. This facility has gone downhill. I have used it for over 10 years, yet will no longer. Staff shortage like all industries. Bummer

PETER FI had a before opening hours check in. When I got there I was not prompted in the app to pick up my vehicle. I called and she helped me. Once I got it I was then prompted in the app to call uhual again because there was no vehicle for me to pick up. I called uhual back and they told me the crew did not leave keys for me to pick up. I had to wait an hour and a half for them to open so I could get my truck. They did not apologize. Not in a good part of town ether. Luckily I had people with me so I wasn’t alone in the rain and dark morning hours.

DAVID SMud on doors and forward exterior cargo space. Right mirror didn't hold adjustment. Stopped 4 times in 37 miles to readjust. On return, personel brushed off the need to fix. Steering was very loose. Personel lacked interest in fixing this defect.

I noticed immediately after confirming the reservation that I was charged $89.95. I sent an email right then saying this was to be free and to cancel if there is a charge. As of 06/01/21 I have not received a response nor a refund for this amount. The storage unit was not used and is not going to be used, I did not want it if it was not free for the first month as advertised when I made the reservation.

They also called and said the lock (that we bought from their store) was not a valid lock and threatened to cut it. Just overall a bad experience. Thankfully there are laws in place that prevented them from throwing out my stuff.
Erik R | Overall ExperienceI began renting a storage unit at the end of April of this year; and since that time I paid every month by way of automatic debit. On at least one occasion the hinges of my door were tampered with; and I right away alerted the staff. (I was glad I chose the extra insurance in case of theft etc.) Throughout my time there many times I had to walk to the office and request they unlock the door during normal business hours; and found difficulty with my key-card working consistently. This was inconvenient as many times there were long lines and I got tired of waiting. When I was notified that my cost was increasing, and had moved to another location, I made the decision to exit and left the unit in good clean condition for which I have a whitness. After vacating the unit I spoke with the staff; and they retained my key-card; and issued a refund. Subsequently I received a late notice stating that I had not paid. I sent numerous emails and called to resolve the matter. By contract however, the truck rentals over the years has been helpful with easy transitions; and problem free service.
