Stop overcharging customers for one way out of California.its Criminal. A normally 5 day charge of $200 become $1900 because it's one way Criminal. You say you a penalizing customers for not returning back to California but all you are doing is riping us off. Spend some money and ship your enclosed trailers back to California yourself if you have a shortage. Don't Bill one ways out of California as 200 percent of the cost of a one way into California and not give the profit to your franchise owner but keep.it for yourself. Again CRIMINAL

Richard PI had trouble scan on theQR for returning it. I’m still not sure I did it correctly or at all. I returned it after hours but before my time was up so I left there not knowing the return was complete. That made me a bit uneasy. I assumed they would see it and all would be fine but everything is automated and one little boo boo can create a system error and there would be no record of the return. But since I’ve received this survey I’m guessing my return was marked as complete. U-Haul is a great company and provide a unique product to the public. I’ve relied upon U-Haul many times. Thanks.

STEPHANIE EThe service at this location was excellent. However, there was a problem with the equipment. The left wheel bearing failed on an interstate. The trailer was not overloaded and was properly balanced, and it was driven at the required speed limit. I only stopped in time because of a passing motorist motioning to me about my smoking wheel. Otherwise, I may have had an accident on an interstate. U-Haul roadside assistance was very good. They were responsive and stayed in touch with me throughout the incident. They sent a tow truck to deliver the trailer to my destination, which was 45 minutes away. Then they sent another tow truck to pick it up after we unloaded it. I’m not sure how we could have known about the bad wheel ahead of time or how I could have monitored it throughout the trip. Overall good experience with U-haul despite the incident.

RUSSELL HNot easy in and out because there are so many vehicles and trailers in front. When we returned the trailer after 7:00, there were homeless people out front hanging out and it was not optimum.
DENNIS DThe transaction time at Costa Mesa was approximately 24 min. Also, I reserved a 26 foot truck and was informed the day prior that the only option was a 10 foot box. I accepted that vehicle (as it was the only option) knowing it would take multiple trips to do my move. After pick up, I realized 10 foot was far too small and ended up terminating agreement with drop off in San Juan Capistrano to trade for a 26-footer 35 minutes later. I ended up paying full rates for both, which is completely unfair given that the original 26 ft truck that was confirmed on Friday April 25 fell through. I'd also like to dispute the fuel gauge reading on the 26-foot truck (72150840). My eyes showed the gauge at less than 1/4 tank. Had to fill up before my journey even began. I returned it the same level as I saw it at pick up, not realizing that the agent put the level at 1/4 on the pick-up document. All in all, neither experience was good, though the staff were generally polite and helpul. If I had other options, I would have not gone with U-haul.

PHATSITA NI arrived at 7 am to get my van. I was told at 6:39 the previous evening it would be ready to go. I get there and it’s blocked in. Customer service was of no help. I had hired people to help me move items. I had to pay them for their work that so disorder done due to unavailability of van. I then picked it up that afternoon . Had to pay the workers again. I have rented from this location multiple times but this experience was unacceptable, costly and avoidable.

Overall I idea is to make life easier to Customers using your products and services. Staff delivering the u-haul truck rental was a little bit of attitude, like doing a favor to Customers. DANIEL MYou need to make your rental policies clearer. I rented a truck for less than 8 hours and paid over $340 while another colleague of mine rented the same truck, for longer, drove further, and paid $98. This is ridiculous.
