When i arrived for my appointment. One of the customers was asking questions that could have been answered over the phone. It was a party of 3 and they all had questions. The gentleman decided to take a call ( on speaker phone ) walked away from the desk. Apparently they needed him for some approval. You clerks had a lot of patience and were very kind. Though everyone else was penalized. I was renting a trailer to pick up something 140 miles away and had a reservation at 10am unfortunately i was delayed, which delayed the return of my trailer. I dont believe your clerk could have handled anything differently, but i do think that if someone decides to make a cell call that should not block business and reservations.

The location I reserved over a month in advance suddenly had no trailer the day before resulting in an extra 35 minutes of driving to get the trailer.

I dealt with Ryan, the manager. The facility was immaculate and organized. All paperwork went smoothly. The trailer I rented a 5'x10' was in very good condition. No issues at all. I will definitely use this facility again....thank you again Ryan for your friendly and professional service.

I reserved a car carrier for the following day. I was told it was available. When I arrived, I was told that they had no car carriers and that I would have to go to another location. U-Haul has reputation of overbooking and then requiring the customer chase down, the required unit at other locations. This has happened to me at the times when I’ve tried to do business with U-Haul. In the future, I will only do business with you all when I have no other options.

My particular truck needed a new battery, it barely started every time I turned the ignition. However, it ran fine, the radio worked, The wipers not so well but they weren't completely gone.

All and all our 3+ years using the U-Haul facility in Northborough was a great experience. The facility was well maintained and all of our transactions, from renting the units, buying supplies and moving in and out of the units was seamless.

I was charged over $50 for fuel and fuel service fee, total ripoff. I took the truck with the tank at 25%, and I returned it with the need still touching the 25% mark after putting $12 worth of gasoline. This should be illegal; I put in a claim, but of course it was declined. I'll never ever use your service again. From other comments I read, this seems to be a practice at this branch which is unacceptable.

While this location was easy for the pickup, the fact that the location I had originally made the reservation for my truck at did not have my truck was incredibly frustrating. This resulted in me having to spend 30 minutes on the phone being transferred about 5 times with the resulting suggestion being that I would need to drive to a location that was 35 minutes away each way. This meant that I had to pay an increase in price to rent a larger truck that I didn’t really need in order to not add 1.5 hours to the experience of picking up a truck at 6:30 at night the day before I was moving. Overall I think it’s a bit ridiculous that I ended up paying more money for being inconvenienced by an issue with the truck that I had no control over.

The truck I was provided had a drivers side dent that made open/shut door difficult. The gas was marked at 1/4 but was not at that level upon leaving the lot. I was charge $55 dollars for driving a total of 9 miles - pretty ridiculous for gas fee

Truck was very damaged. The driver door was hard to open and would not fully shut. You had to slam the door to shut it enough to lock the door. Also, the exhaust seemed very loud compared to other uhauls I have driven.

The new manager Ryan charged us without finishing the week or even knowing what was going on. They told us to keep bring the truck even though we asked for an extension. We had to put a lot of mileage going back and worth. We had returned the trailer and then didn’t tell us we had to do a new contract with just the truck. Ryan charged us almost 800 dollars and we hadn’t even finished the week. We were in negative thanks to that little stunt. We were suppose to get reimbursed for the mistake Ryan made and the receipt does match what he verbally said. Thank God for Jamal for understanding and explaining but Ryan was any helps. My husband is missing a leg and I’m pregnant going back and forth from Fitchburg to Marlborough over miscommunication is not okay. They should’ve told us about the contract situation and not charged us 11 days before the date. Very disappointing.

Today when I took the van the milage and gas was different than at the contract, in contact the milage was 17200 but at odometer was 17270 and gas in contact was 1/3 but at the panel was 2/9.

Online reservation process was very good. Picking up the motorcycle trailer was very good as well. The only concern I had was when I returned the trailer. It was busy at the time and the rep told me I should drop off the trailer in the area where others were parked. I did that with no problem but after I left I was a little concerned because the rep never took my name. I just wanted to be sure that the time stamp on my return was correctly logged. So I called back to UHAUL when I got back home and talked with a customer support rep at a central location (the Northborough location was busy). She connected with Northborough and I was assured everything would be fine. I'll know better next time but this step shouldn't have been necessary if the rep did his job correctly.

The van was not clean when I picked it up. It smelled like a dirty barn. There were animal hairs on the seat. I literally had to drive with the windows open has the Oder was making me nauseous. As a Corporate customer we generally are satisfied with the vehicles. This was not a good experience.

Great customer service but the tr uck was high mileage, rough riding and extremely noisy. When heading for home from my destination, a worker flagged me down and mentioned that the front wheel/brake was making a loud, grinding noise. I made it back, but the noise seemed to get worse. Warning! The facility's elevator randomly fails. When your arrive to complete a move in or out do not expect the elevator to be operational. Do not rent on the second floor. Do not expect the staff to be responsive or kind.

I had to rent a truck at the last minute and the exact size that I needed was available. I did the online reservations and showed up at 9 AM and everything was ready for me. All I had to do was sign one box and I was good to go! When I returned, the gentleman was super helpful and took care of everything. These people have harassed me for years when I specially told them I want them to action my unit years ago but instead they let my bill hike up expecting me to pay an insane amount of money.

Tried to empty our unit. We wanted to leave a few things in the shared pile but every time we went, it was over full. We canceled our unit on July 9th and assumed we were all set. We started getting emails and voicemails that were less than professional. I will never use U-haul again.

The only good part about my experience was the phenomenal people at U Haul Northborough Mass. therefore the 5 rating (for them only)as for the pick up of vehicle and the condition of vehicle not good. Engine so loud my ears hurt, transmission slipped and brakes squealed so bad the guys from Northborough heard me coming and they were inside the building. Again Northborough mechanic a rep. Said it was not leaving until brakes were fixed and other issues looked at. Outstanding managing and people skills in that office!

Wanted to compliment seems like whoever the male party behind the desk on July 2nd was entirely overwhelmed but definitely understaffed he managed not only to check in a long line of Returns on trucks but also three or four people who were in the store who were waiting to get a storage unit. He was really good about when most of us asked him if there was or he had more help and he said no. Think he should be recognized for his great efforts I know I've seen him there a few times in the short period I used the storage unit. Guy deserves a raise!!

The large sliding door near elavator is often locked before the end of access hours. this is a problem for anyone moving something on the large side. this is annoying since you need to start moving things by hand to get thru the small door rather than using the cart and just rolling thru.

Your website is impossibly confusing. I ordered two men and one truck and was charged for two orders. The job got done thanks to a wonderful Moving guy named Kevin, but I cannot get my money back.. It further complicates things that UHaul and Moving operate separately. What a mess. I will never use uHaul again.

The Northboro facility was very convenient and clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. The only issue we had was with the Uhaul central organization that answered the phone and set up our reservation for a truck and the storage unit. They reported incorrect business hours, which delayed our move by over 2 hours. The facility was actually opened and staffed at 7 am, but Uhaul told us they didn’t open until 9, which delayed our move and packing team.

Move-in went great. I arrived late last night and the woman on duty was a huge help. My code didn't work ("User ID not recognized") and the card key that the woman gave to me returned an error, "Not checked in yet". The woman on duty tried several times to resolve it without any luck. It might have been the system needed time to register me as a new customer. Facility was perfect, particularly liked the drive-in garage. The unit itself was very dusty - so maybe a pre-move in sweep could be one additional improvement. Thank you!

This is a very nice storage facility. Thank you for making it available after my recent move / truck rental!! You have two outstanding features that I have not seen at other storage facilities. 1 - a "share space", where people are putting gently used items, so others can take them 2 - a dumpster (great idea, although I didn't need it at this time)

The lighting in the storage area hallways is only activated by sensors at each end of very long hallways. Which means people utilizing rooms in the middle of those long hallways often have the lights go out on them.

I had prepaid for the month of October and cleaned out my unit expecting a prorated refund of the prepayment but they couldn’t give me the refund. Instead they told me to call the 1-800 number or come back the next day to speak to a manager. Other than that experience that had me waiting at the front desk for almost a hour trying to figure that out, it was good. The facility was clean and secure and easily accessible.

Their record-keeping is terrible. When I was there to hand over my space, they were trying to help a renter to get his invoice corrected. Who was upset as there was some billing issues and not recorded properly? I had emptied the storage two months ago and did inform the young lady at the desk. I have tried calling and emailing them but no response. Finally, I was able to speak to a gentleman and informed him about this ordeal, and made it to the house. Alhamdulliah

The gentleman at the front desk, somebody give this man a cookie and a raise of course. The level of customer support provided by him was on another level, I'm ashamed I can't remember his name but the experience I had overall is something I will remember and will certainly try to put into practice myself. Oh the bathroom, I try to avoid public bathrooms as much as possible specially during this time, but to my pleasant surprise IT WAS SUPER CLEAN!!!! Also how I was able to set some items aside for recycling another person may use, it was great. The clothing donations bins on site was extremely convenient. The MONTH FREE storage for renting a vehicle was a blessing! Management, cleanliness, storage/truck availability, indoor heat fan by the garage door. Ok you guys did it, this store did it and that man should be the face of your advertisement. I pray God bless and protect each one of you, and thank you for making our lives a little bit less stressful during these difficult times.

Unfortunately, when I moved my belonging in, there was a garage door helping the climate of the area I signed a lease for. The garage door had come down in the middle of the hotter summer months and this created a humid environment. The sliding glass security doors between the parking area and the storage units was very foggy. Because of these changed conditions and being closer to the front, my belongs had mold that I had to spray/wipe down upon move out.

We measured UHaul's superiority over the competition in the following areas: - Customer service: We worked with Felix and Sarah in the Northborough location and they were truly remarkable. This aspect stood out most to us. Sarah went the extra mile to reserve two different sized storage units for us that were across from each other to ensure our convenience. Felix dedicated his time to both us and the movers and made the actual move date very efficient. - Cost: Comparable to the competition, but at this cost, the competition's storage units were not indoors and heated and did not sell moving supplies. - Moving supplies: Order a little more than you think you need and save the receipt. We returned all unused boxes and unopened items for a full refund. We were very happy about this! If you opt to order supplies online, allow for free delivery 2-3 weeks prior to move date. - Heated indoor storage (as stated above). - Several sizes of storage compartments from which to choose. - Access hours were far better than ALL of the area competition! - Indoor lightining and cameras go far to ensure security of belongings. Recommend that phone and in-person communication may provide a more fruitful experience than using the online. Seeing supplies before you buy and taking advantage of professional expertise will leave you satisfied.

First person I dealt with was very quivk and explained everything. However when I came back to actually drop off trailer. The young lady was like hiding behind counter talking on her cellphone.
