KEITH HWhen I arrived at the time of my confirmed appointment to pick up my trailer for my cross-country move the next day, I was told that they did not have a Uhaul for me. They told me I could come back 1.5 hours later and possibly pick one up if the person returned it at that time. I agreed to drive home and come back later. I then received a call from the company inquiring about my pickup because it showed that I had not picked up a uhaul yet. I explained to the man on the phone that I had gone to my pickup appointment but was turned away and told to come back later. He then told me that his computer showed that my uhaul had been sitting there the whole time and he was unsure of why they did not give it to me. I then went back and was given a uhaul. I also was told I had to buy some items at the uhaul store that I was never told about before. Overall, it was a very stressful experience, and something I did not expect to have to go through the day before I was moving across the country. Since I was told I was GUARANTEED a uhaul at my pick up time, I feel that they should have stood by that and had one for me, and if they didnt, they should have atleast called me to tell me instead of having me show up and getting turned away.

Kevin GWe were passed off to this location without warning, which pushed our moving day back an hour due to a lack of communication and travel time. Really disappointing customer service based on the extreme price and fault of the company.
Megan PI reserved a trailer and an Appliance Dolly for pickup. The trailer was there, but the Appliance dolly was not. Despite the fact that I had reserved it in advance, the dolly was rented out to someone else and they did not have anymore dollies on-site. I asked the clerk that was handling my rental if she could find one at another location. She said there was no way to check. I asked if she could call another location, but she couldn't be bothered. Luckily for me, the guy behind me in line heard the conversation and called another U-Haul location to see if they had one. They did! He gave me the address and I went there to pick it up. Great customer service from the customer in line behind me. Also, when I returned the trailer, the employee who checked me in on the lot told me that I would receive a receipt notification in about 5 minutes. I never got one. Several hours later, after no receiving a receipt, I checked the U-Haul website and discovered that my trailer had not been checked back in. I had to call the Oceanside U-Haul location and have someone check the lot to verify that I returned the trailer. Once they did, they checked me in and sent me a receipt. I've rented from this location many times before, but never had problems like I did today.

SANTOS HHmmmm! The advertised $19.95 rate is a little misleading my total ended up being $77.95 for about 30 miles and no insurance policy, plus an extra $13.00 for gas. That said, for a small haul/move, the overall cost was still absolutely worth it! The entire process was simple I completed everything online and just picked up the keys in person no hassle at all. I’ve used this location several times and never had any issues. The customer service is friendly and professional, which makes the whole experience even smoother. Van smelled like cigarettes! Better morning drop offs was mad house 4 May 25 at 0900! Highly recommend this location!

CRISTIN HMy boyfriend has been trying to remove my email from his uhaul account and even though people lkeep saying it's fixed, it never is. I am so very tired of getting surveys and confirmations
COLEMAN OI'm glad that I didn't have to use the U-Haul app. I tried that at first but the app doesn't work well. The app's system was down when I tried to use it. Also, it's got a lot of bad reviews. And, it's difficult for older people to figure out how to use apps.
CHARELL CWell it's clean but maintained is another issue. The customer restroom has been out of order for weeks according to the sign. Where my storage locker is close to the restroom there is a fowl oder of urine and it's very umplesent to be around. A plumbing issue sould be delt with in a timely manner. Access, I store tools there so sometimes I Need to access early if I have a job prior to 5am. I hope this email helps serve u and can help get at least the bathroom issue resolved. If someone is moving alot of things in it is very inconvenient that they have to leave and find a rest room.

CARLOS GI don't expect a lot but vehicles are nasty/dirty/smelly, all of them. Notwithstanding, no where did I see mention that I needed to refuel the vehicle when it had 1/4 of a full tank when I picked up, and drove it only 20 miles. Worse, when I dropped it off, NO ONE mentioned or asked if I'd like to refill first as rental car companies used to do. The gas station is LITERALLY across the street and I could have popped over and got gas. Instead they extorted me for $30 just to PUT FUEL IN THE TRUCK and then charged per gallon on top of that. I did the reservation all through the app and no where did I see a warning about fuel. I won't rent form U-haul again. A simple courtesy when I returned the truck was all it would take but they'd rather extort for $30 plus per gallon fees.

Cliff EThere was this really angry woman in the lobby when we arrived to pick up our truck. The employees behind the counter worked patiently with her and talked her through her frustrations. It was quite amazing to watch as I myself do not know if I could be as patient as them. When we left the lady was happy as they resolved her problem. Seeing this interaction made me know I was in good hands.
JACQUELINE WAll staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to get the trailer we needed quickly and easily even though we didn't have a reservation. I interacted with about 4 different employees and they were all cheerful and made me feel important. Great job U-Haul!
JEFFREY SMy family has used Uhaul numerous times, and this location is truly the best experience ever. It is well staffed, and they are all knowledgable. Once I was onsite, though they were all working on task each of them greeted me and genuinely seemed willing to stop what they are doing to address my needs. The interior store area is bright and clean. The lot is immaculate. And the van I rented was brand new. I was late for my pickup time, and they called to check on my well being and to keep my reservation secure. A++ rating!

Ann KThere was a little miscommunication when I was talking on the phone with the operator about getting a hitch. They told me I could get my own hitch and they would install it but when I talk to the actual store in Oceanside, they were going to charge me a lot more, so I had to return the hitch I bought and wait for them to order their own hitch and install it. The installation was very good quick only problem was the communication from the operator. I originally talked to thank you.
Evan HPerfect experience. Uhaul tech made sure to walk around the truck with me just in case there was damage that I was not aware of. I felt like the staff was looking out for me, as the customer, which was refreshing. Quick drop off, very attentive, professional service!
CHRISTOPHER RUhaul.com reservation system is not reliable. I placed a reservation 1 wek in advance and upon pick up in was told that the pick up truck was not available. Thanks to the employee's effort he was able to "obtain one" shortly after but it delayed my pick up time for over an hour.

Also, the 2nd level units had chicken wire as a ceiling which was weird to me. I feel like if someone wanted to, they could’ve fished things out of my unit undetected if they were motivated to do it. When initially purchasing the unit, I was told I couldn’t pre-pay for the 6-ish months that I planned to rent for but upon downloading the U-Haul app it became apparent that I could prepay for the upcoming months.
