I absolutely love this Uhaul location. The staff were wonderful and called me to offer storage during my move which was so convenient and made the experience so much easier. They were very helpful and the location/building has to be the nicest storage facility I’ve ever visited and one of the largest in Canada! I definitely had a great experience, I’m happy I came in and would recommend to anyone booking a move in coming here! Thank you for all your help while moving!

This place was a shit show. I pre-booked my 6x12 3 weeks in advance. yet they still did not have one waiting for me. downgraded me to only a 5x8. they inconvienced my and 4 other parties coordinated for the move. gave me $40. not only that, they pushed back the pick up time by 7 hours. then when I arrived, there were 4 other 6x12's on the lot. WTF? I wont deal with this location ever again. thinking twice about ever dealing with Uhaul

The lady at the counter was excellent and very customer focused, however, the guys outside were less than friendly. The inside of the truck was not very clean, the windshield had so many bugs on it that I had to immediately go to a service station and clean it. When I mentioned it to the guy outside he stated the windshield is ok. The inside of the truck was not swept out. After I left I discovered a gash in the rear passenger side tire that looked like a repair had been attempted. As the lot person just parked the truck in front of me and walked away I took photos of the truck before I left, everything I have mentioned can be seen in the photos. End result… the truck ran great and handled great, also it was reasonable on fuel. I would rent that size again but not from that location.

Upon returning with a van loaded full to put in storage, the unit that was given to me was full of someone else's contents!! the whole process had to begin again with the same info repeated as well as a empty unit needed to be found! !1 more hour of switching and paper work was necessary on top of the first hour to book a wrong storage unit? I was able to receive a discount for the second month but she stated that it will show up next month as the regular price meaning that I have to contact back to the location at that time and try to remind them of that fact! Why can it not be inputted to your system showing the discount at the time of said arrangement ? Also the vehicle I picked up showed 1/4 of a tank of gas ,so I had to make sure not to put more than what I used . You fill the tank full before the next customer, that's how to do business!! Not impressed!!

The guy we retuned the vehicle to was great but I am disappointed that I am being charged extra mileage. Mileage was not mentioned. It was a 48 hrs to use and bring it back will a full tank. Which we did and you were offering free storage for a month and another free day but you are charging me extra which is not fair at all.

Overall 2.5 star rating. Rental started off horribly. Ordered 10 boxes U haul said I needed 8. Eventually used 12. Had to split order into 2 groups of 6. Uhaul.com or app was NEVER updated despite numerous requests to do so.. Shipments left a day late and arrived 4 days late..was charged storage. Eventually charges were reversed. The only 5 star service I received was from Jerome Fehr in the Mankato district. Once the boxes hit his facility everything was smooth and professional. He was very instrumental in getting my erroneous storage charges reversed.

There was an issue with the truck I booked. I have booked a 10 foot and the day before I was told they would upgrade me to a 15 foot. Which is all fine however they had was quite a bit more and because of the size and weight I have to change my ferry reservation to a commercial truck and was and extra $70 I had to pay. I’m not sure what the point of making a reservation if you can change it the day before. I would like someone to contact me and let me know how you are going to rectify this. I would like to be compensated for the additional charges I incurred….

Maintain equipment better . Light feel off after I picked up the trolly took it back didn’t even get home and they didn’t have another one to replace it. Half way had a flat tire wasted 2 hours. Had to off load the car and one person stayed with the U-Haul two had to drive the car since the appointment was at 12. Stability light came on the truck. One thing after another old un maintained equipment. Never actually heard of three things going wrong in one trip. Stressful trip.

the first unit they gave me had a flat tire, so they substituted another. When I told them I wanted to do a one way to Cochrane AB, they neglected to tell me there were no drop off locations there. Had I known that I would have saved considerable time and fuel driving around Cochrane to the three addresses shown on the internet for Uhaul locations. I would have returned the trailer to the pick up location. Your person at Calgary Herald should have been able to tell me outright that there were no drop off locations in Cochrane AB. I am not a happy customer.

I booked a 15 foot for North Battleford for July 31. I called the morning of and they said they gave it away. I told her I desperately needed it as I was moving to another province in the morning. She put my on hold and give minutes later she returned to the call to let me know that there was a 20-ft one in moose jaw and it was the last one in Saskatchewan available. I let her know that was an 8-hour Drive from me and I was doing a 12-hour drive the next day. She said she would wave the cost if I were to go pick it up for moose jaw myself as there was no one to drive it to North Battleford or even Saskatoon available. She also said she would add 400 km. That would make it a little over a thousand km from moose jaw to North Battleford to Calgary. Great I said thank you. I drive all the way to moose jaw to pick it up on the way there. U-Haul calls me ask if I can bring an auto trailer to Calgary with me and they would add another day another 100 km and give me cash back in my account in a few days. I said yes. Of course. I drive to North Battleford. I load up all my belongings go to sleep, wake up in the morning and drive to Alberta. I unpack all my things and I drop it off at the U-Haul. All in all did a little over 800 km. They come up to me and tell me I went 157 km over. I said there's no way I went over a thousand. They're like no. You went over 800 and blah blah. I said well I have just under 1100 available. They argued and said no I don't. They look back at all the emails, all the confirmations. There's no such record that I have that it's a little over $800. I go back to my U-Haul app and of course the kilometers are now changed to 800 and some. Originally it had had just under $1,100 and that's exactly what they did to me. The first time with my booking changed it to August 4th instead of July 31st. Somewhere someone is a crook and changing stuff on the app after it's already been confirmed. Luckily I took a screenshot of the little under 1100 kilometers that I had available. They didn't care for my screenshot because on their end they had no proof and so I had to pay an extra $165 in the end on top of my rental. They're all liars.

I got there on time, filled up the gas tank, and did everything I was supposed to do. I was putting all the information on the app - return mileage, etc. I worker on July 31st at 10:00am, offered to do all the returning process for me. He told me I drove an extra 94 miles and I’m getting charged an extra $94. I thought no way. Before I rented my U-Haul truck, I put where I was moving from and to. He tried to tell me “it’s in the contract”. What actually happened was he put in the wrong return mileage. It’s a little mistake BUT at the same time it’s not. It almost cost me $100. Got the receipt for the extra charge so I called the location and told them their employee messed up. They told me to come back. I refused because why do I have to when they’re the ones the messed up. I appreciate the guy helping me and I thought he’d do the job better than I would because he works for U-haul. But apparently not.

This location is easy to find and has plenty of staff available to assist, which made the initial experience smooth and welcoming. Suggestion 1 – Dedicated Line for Online Bookings: It would be helpful to have a separate counter or priority line for customers who have booked online. This would speed up the check-in process and reduce waiting times. Some walk-in customers may require more time to complete their bookings, while online-booked customers usually just need a quick confirmation and key handover. This improvement would enhance efficiency and create a better experience for both walk-ins and online users. Suggestion 2 – Pick-Up Location Change: I received a message shortly before my scheduled pick-up asking me to go to a different location, which was farther than the original one I selected. This change was inconvenient and disappointing. At the very least, the website should reflect current availability, or a representative should ensure the car is delivered to the originally booked location. Addressing this would improve trust and reliability for customers planning their logistics in advance.

They took out payments when they were not supposed to. Then to reverse the charges I had to drive down to U-Haul which was over an hour away just to talk to them because they never answered there phone . I will never ever deal with U-Haul again. Also they could go into my bank account to take whatever they wanted and to reverse the payment I had to wait at least 3 to 5 working days to get access the money. Never again U-Haul. Never again

Well from start to finish it was honestly a pretty poor experience. From the booking of it I booked a 10' van in advance from a place 10 mins away from where I was needing it but the day of I luckily phoned and they said that they didn't have one in stock so I was pushed to a location that was 30 mins away. Not a great start. Then I had to stand in line for almost half an hour to just get helped. Then I finally was going to get the truck and the truck I needed was not starting. That was the last one in their yard and they tried to get me to buy a 15' truck instead which I obviously declined and told them I would take one if they charged the same as the 10' because it was their mistake. They then tried to get me to drive to yet another location at which point I got quite frustrated and told them no. At this point they agreed to the 15' truck and got it for me. Now I am not sbout to blame them fully for all this, just really bad timing of having only 1 person at the desk and 1 to go retrieve the trucks but because of this all said and done I was there for well over an hour which is unacceptable as I booked it for 4 and was in town visiting family and didn't want to spend the last day there wasting 2 hours of that time getting a uhaul (which is how long it ended up being start to finish).

I had to purchase a $800 flight to Calgary and drive 10 hours to get the truck i reserved 5 months in advance. Overall, $1,400 extra was spent and two days of travel to get the truck. Customer service did not help at all during this. I had to find the truck from 1000km away. I had to explain my story 28 different times to different customer service reps as they did not add notes after each call. This was truly a horrifying experience and I would never recommend UHaul to any body.

New staff member that took forever! I was frustrated but gave the person a chance….they didn’t know the locations of the lockers and got lost several times while trying to physically find the locker. They didn’t explain the external access codes and how you must use all 3 external access machines after office hours, etc ……. Later, I figured it all out by myself.

Everything about this last experience with you haul was terrible and borderline illegal. Sadly there is not much of an option out there to use other services. Unsafe vehicles, then when brought up I was gaslighted saying I don't know what I'm talking about. The storage unit was brutal to access and the staff was less then helpful and lies to me about units. Id tell people to stay away if at all possible

Eveet helped me a lot. He shows me 2 different storage unit and he gave his best to accomodate when I want to get the other storage unit. Original jours when i moved in were incorrect snd I had to hire movers twice. Manager never apologized, only offered to give me half rent for 1 month. They tried to charge me for a storage room with a large post that took up 1/4 of the space. The storage rooms are far away from the loading dock. Tried to contact customer service to resolve issues but was never able to reach them. Loading dock door takes 5-10 minutes to be opened some times. Loading dock is always cluttered and sometimes people are parked in front of the doors so there is no easy access. Some times they have large trucks that block access too. Staff unfriendly.

The facility is hard to navigate the floors I Bay 7 were so potty and bumpy that everything would rattle of the cart. There is a big dip in the floor going to my unit that is horrible to take a cart down several items were broken due to this very poor planning. The bathrooms were deplorable have photos to show. Carts wheels would stick making them difficult to steer tried 2 of them. No garbage to put the items that were broken from having to deal with the drop in the floor. No staff to be seen very poor experience would not ever recommend.

Staff refused to open door for my husband even though she intentionally shut the door on him while he was attempting to move in very heavy furniture. Floors were wet from “plumbing issues”. Bathrooms were unhygienic. Staff at main check in desk were friendly. Another “staff member” with food forced me to use my code and let them in when they could have used any other door, or maybe have their own access code to get themselves in would be great.

Parking around the unload area was full - cars parked there who were not actively loading or unloading. Also, there were no flatbed carts available, needed to ask for one from someone unloading. Facility was clean, warm and in good condition.

When we moved out we noticed significant changes to the lockers in our area, we do not believe the security was set up and/or finished as wires were still hanging out of each unit when we moved in but were gone when we were moving out. It is also not a great idea to clean the floors before opening as they were all very wet and slippery when we were trying to move big furniture. There was also a second lock put on our storage unit, even though I had automatic payments set up. They called saying my card couldn’t be processed, I rectified the situation right away and then got charged agann in for the next month when my automatic payment went through. Our stuff wasn’t touched and somewhat clean except for things touching the ground. I know this is probably only uhauls policy but it does seem very unethical to charge a whole month when we were looking to move out only 3 days after our month was up. I called 2 month ago giving them plenty of notice and they still would not make an exception.

First of all this not 24hrs..... 2nd. Everytime I have to go to the office to let them know that I need the garage door open .sometimes I wait for 10 min...this not a convenient place that suites my agenda. 3rd there's not enough carts .. There some people that hogg everything. The parking underneath is unsafe and has no space or structure....there are sometimes big vehicles in the way 4. The exit out from inside requires me to get out and press the button...This is not recommended place I would tell anyone .

I was unhappy with the hours of this location as they were advertised to be until 7pm and 5pm on weekdays and weekends, respectively, however in person they limited the hours to 6:30pm and 4:30. When I first checked in on Oct. 20th, I had a load of items I wanted stored and had arrived at 4:15pm. I was not allowed to store my things and had to travel back to my home with all the items I had packed, which was a waste of time and gas money. It also took a fair bit of time to access the storage unit, as each visit I had to wait 5-10 minutes for the gate to open. Often when I visited the carts were missing and the dollie had a flat tire, which also made things inconvenient.

Very difficult to get into unit. No proper instructions were given from the start of rental on accessing the units. On the day of moving out we pulled up to the north door(#3) and pushed the help button, to which there was no response. I called the front via my cell and gave my information to the girl up front when I gave her my unit # she asked me if I was at the right place and that they didn't have unit #'s like that. Cost me extra time for my movers!! Told me she was the only one there and so after 20 minutes of still waiting, I drove around to get someone, there were 3 of them, youngsters, giggling with each other. Poor service

It was disappointing we couldn't have been given that little bit of time to not return the next day where we had no help to unload. Also wasn't given the size of unit I reserved making us have to find another space for the remainder of items. Other than that, staff was great and helpful for checking in.

Our interactions with staff were ok. We were disappointed that there was not a pro rated refund for the remainder of the month. One area that felt like it was lacking was in security. There is no access code to get into the locker area. It was not staffed and was a ghost town when we arrived. I would not feel safe arriving there by myself as there were many nooks and crannies and not well lit areas.

Originally, I had rented a truck and a storage unit at the NE location just down the road from this one. They didn't have the unit I booked ready and we didn't want any of the other units that they were trying to offer. Bliss, the manager at the NE location, called this location and they had multiple available and it was close enough so we agreed to go over to that one The lady who Bliss had spoken to helped me at the counter to get the right unit. There was a few people in front of us and we were waiting for the lady to be done with the other customers. As we waited, two other male workers stood around behind one of the trucks on their phones and not doing anything. When I looked at them, they separated and tried to look busy. When the lady at the counter got to us, she was very kind and told us how to get to the gate into the uhaul building. She gave us gates and row numbers however there was no signage indicating where the gates were and it turns out it had been locked and wasnt accessible. We finally get in to unload and its quite the hike to the unit, there was one dolly at the entrance and i had a truck of furniture so we asked if there were any more and the worker just looked at us and shrugged his shoulders and walked away and when we called after if he could please find us more, he shrugged us off and said thats it. I then called the desk about halfway unloading to ask if someone could bring some down and she said she would reach out to someone and we never heard back, I've never used UHaul before but after I am done using my storage unit I don't think I will be going back to them unfortunately, Just too many errors and too much confusion The workers at the desks are very personable and kind and really try and accomodate you, it's just too unorganized and I was very unimpressed with the warehouse workers.

The only issue is that they are never available to open the door they put you on hold and you sit at the door and then they tell you we have to wait and have to wait and have to wait
