Allow more mileage for one way drop offs. I went 3 miles over what was allotted. That was going straight to my old house for pick up and to the new house for unloading.

Attendant during our initial 'in person' contact and 'Aaron' who provided assistance upon return were extremely helpful, informative and courteous! Both were graciously professional which made our interaction very pleasant and expeditious!

Clearly state that extra mileage will incur an further charge. I had to weigh the truck empty and full for a military move. I was charged for the extra miles to get to a CAT scale. Also, the radio kept going in and out during trip. Truck worked but super basic and sounded like I was in a wind tunnel for three hours.

There was only one guy on duty and he was swamped. The folks in front of us had a reservation on a truck that was never returned and he was working hard to help them out while keeping his cool and letting me know that he'd be with me as soon as possible. I had a significant wait, but it was completely understandable. He apologized for the delay and was very helpful and friendly with my trailer return.

Reservation, pickup, and checkin were flawless. However, My 15' truck had a horrible steering mechanical defect. The truck swerved frequently and at times was barely controllable. I drove with fear and trepidation for the 12 hrs I had the truck. This poses a serious safety hazard for patrons and a significant liability issue for Uhaul. Please correct it immediarely.

My only suggestion would be to enable the ability to call the freight elevator individually from the passenger elevator as sometimes we would have to send the regular car up by itself and re-call the elevator to try and get the larger, freight car.

When I received the truck, it was on E! The gas light was on yellow! I had to put gas in (15.00) before I could even use it! This should have been caught during check in inspection before renting out again. Overall the staff was courteous and location was great!

The first guy that was there at 7am was great. He helped us and got us going. The lady that was there when we returned at 1pm was the worst. She stayed on the phone the whole time she was with us. Acted like she did not want to help us and had no clue what she was doing. She rolled her eyes and said she wasn't fighting with a trailer today when I told her we couldn't get it off. She came out there and then said that was the one that got stuck and the guy shouldn't have gave it to us and we would have to take the whole ball / hitch to get it off. We had no idea what we were doing and called someone to come up there and help us. All he did was reposition the trailer to get the weight off of it and it came off went problem at all. The employee had no clue what she was doing and didn't want to help. I don't ever want to use this place when she is there, but the guy was amazing and super helpful.

I was at this location from 12 noon until after 3pm trying to get into a unit. The first 3 10x15 units that were supposed to be “vacant” had locks on them. Later two other “vacant” 10x15 were smaller units. At the end of the day I was leased two smaller units to compensate. Not what I asked for and a terrible experience. I will not be recommending to friends.

There were a lot of people moving in the same time as we were. Only one elevator worked and it was a hassle getting our things to the 5th floor. If the other elevator worked, the experience would have been more enjoyable.

The staff was so great . The manager was training when I got there and he was training her so properly. When I came back she was so nice and she got things done when he had left her to try on her own. It was great experience. Staff very nice , facility very nice . The truck was to my expectations. Highly Recommend. This is one of the best U-Haul Facilities I have been to. I will be back !

The facility is always clean; however, it’s awful that the facility has 4 elevators and 2 are cordoned off with metal plates and are unable to be used & 1 was broken. There were multiple families moving in for the summer; due to Alabama State University students being out. I used the facility for the 3rd year and last year there were only 2 working elevators. I most definitely have to give Justin a compliment because his customer service skills are impeccable. Not only was he very pleasant during the check in process and with the customers that were ahead of me, but I inadvertently left my credit card carrier & Drivers License on the counter and he made multiple calls to find me, thinking I had already left the facility. I had left my phone in the car while we were moving into the unit. When he noticed through the window that I was still there, he ran out of the office to return it to me. I’m extremely grateful. For Justin, my score is a 10! Facility cleanliness, 5; facility maintenance (elevators 1 of 4 working) 1. It’s just not acceptable!!!

The Mildred Street Uhaul storage facility was outstanding. I give the staffs customer service a top ranking approval. Staff was also very professional, courteous, polite, knowledgeable, and approachable. If I'm ever in need of storage again I will use Uhaul.

Difficult to answer yes about the facility being well maintained because the elevators were a constant problem. Rarely were they both operational, and only one was big enough for large loads.

They building flooding damaging my items and when I asked for a sanitation receipt for my wooden item showing their were properly sanitized and cleaned. The manager told me no! The movers broke my TV. And overall just hurtful how my photos of my deceased father was ruined, handdrawn photos by my dead brother ruined and the Manager told me while I was crying to take the wet photos and wet paper with ink ruining from it to a photo shop and give her the receipt. How can I take items missing ink and no longer viewable to get copies made?

The downtown Uhaul location is great. It is easy to access, easy to get items in and out, and easy staff to work with. The prices are affordable. I have also rented a truck from here. No concerns; I have enjoyed my time and experience using this rental storage space.

The elevators made this move much harder and longer than what it was suppose to be. I had to go get an employee at least 4x so that he could reset the elevators, which took away from my 3hr rental. It got so bad to the point the movers had to start using the stairs because it took so long for the elevators to open, then it was only one working. I wouldn’t recommend this specific storage facility to anyone simply because they’re equipped with elevators, unless they have time to waste. Other than the elevators being a nuisance the facility was clean and the 1 employee that was working was very attentive to my needs.

I interacted with three different staff members, all of whom were very helpful and friendly. Storing a larger item and needing multiple trips in the freight elevator, it would be super helpful to be able to call the freight elevator separately, and not have to wait until it randomly opens

Thank you Marcus as he was an ace at his job. I was a 0ne man team having to get a 3 bedroom truck unloaded pretty much by myself. It was a struggle as the truck needed to be back and checked in by 9:00 AM the next morning. I ran out of tine and still needed access to the storage unit. He made it all possible and I was able to finish up around 2:00 AM. I will highly recommend this facility because of him! Thank you again Marcus for going above and beyond even after hours!

When I initially rented the storage space I was not advised under any circumstances that the first month is free secondly I was not advised the lock that was on the door (which was shown to the rep) was unacceptable. Which resulted in me having to purchase a lock from uhaul. Then I was never advised until afterwards there was no prorated accommodations, mean I paid for the full lord of august moved all of my kids things out on the 12 and you guys just get to keep the rest of my money? That isn’t right so no my experience wasn’t pleasant and I will never use uhaul again!

The problem with this location is it was converted from an office building to a storage building. 2 of the elevators are not working and the other two actually are not big enough for furniture. One is a small elevator and the other says Freight which is bigger but still small. In a nutshell, this was a building with elevators for people not furniture. The staff was professional behind the desk yesterday and helpful.

We reserved a moving truck and storage unit to move my daughter out of her dorm and store it for the summer. The online reservation process was easy, and from pickup to drop off, our in person experience was also easy and well organized. The two employees were very friendly and efficient - we will rent another truck to move her back in the fall, and this will be our plan while she is in school in Montgomery.

We were given directions to our locker but when we got to it, it was locked. It was closing time and we barely caught the attendant before they closed. Other than that, they were friendly. The only other thing that bothers me is we had to purchase the uhal lock. We were not allowed to use ours our purchase a cheaper lock. Felt forced to pay for an overpriced lock could have been done by a standard lock.

The site was fine and move in overall easy. The only challenge was that the elevator was not fully functional. That staff member did assist me with going up and down the elevator. I was disappointed that the elevator is not wide enough for odd size items. Overall, a positive experience. I return a few days later and was about to use the elevator with no issues.

There are only two elevators and they don’t provide much depth and cannot fit a full size couch nor a motorcycle. Customer service and accommodations were extremely great! I would definitely recommend using the facility because of the manager’s initiative to assist the customers, but only if you’re not moving living room furniture or motorcycles.
