There was a lot of back and forth regarding scheduling and the box delivered an hour late, which cost me since I hired movers to unload the boxes. I would not recommend this service. It was too expensive and a hassle in an already stressful situation. The staff were friendly, which is the only reason I rated the service average.

ANGELA NI was told at the Lansing location I could drop off at the Holly location anytime I asked several times if I could drop off at 2:00 a.m. or 12:00 a.m. and the attendant at the Lansing location told me yes it would not be a problem several times. I went to deliver it around 6:00 the night I rented it and I called the Holly location and they told me the gates were closed and they didn't do any overnight drop offs and I have to wait till 8:30 in the morning when I was already on my way out there I literally had to camp out in a parking lot to stay with the u-haul overnight to where I didn't put any more miles on it because I was misinformed at the Lansing location. I will probably never use you all again because of this miscommunication. The employees at the location told me several times I could drop off anytime and that was not the case. It was extremely inconvenient to where I didn't have to add miles to my U-Haul to drive it all the way back home when I found out I couldn't drop it off overnight. One at the Lansing location I was told the exact opposite and I asked several times because I knew I'd be dropping it off late. I'm not happy with my experience at all.
KELLI HMake sure the employees have proper customer care, and that they are giving out every detail they need and not just handing them keys making them go find their own truck. Also letting them know something is majorly wrong with the truck before putting a customer in the truck.
KENDRIA GHave never received a confirmation after dropping off the rental at the U haul location. Otherwise all else is OK
ZSOLT KFront facing staff at check-in was a great representative for Uhaul. A busy Saturday morning with a long line of customers, he was helpful, knowledgable, and clearly kept the line content despite the wait. Only small glitch with vehicle was no windshield washer solvent. Ive used this location in the past, will use again.

ALICESON NThis rental was an awful experience. We reserved a 26-ft truck about a month before we moved. The day before our pick-up was scheduled, we received an email saying the location we chose didn’t have a truck in that size, so we needed to go to a second location (the specific location was provided). We went to the new place on our pickup day. They got a truck and the car tow dolly we needed. But they found the dolly had a screw missing just before we pulled out. So then we were sent to ANOTHER location. Got a truck lined up in the size we needed, but then found out it had a catalytic converter problem. So we waited until another truck could be ready for us. Overall, it seemed to be an across-the-company quality control problem of not prepping and checking the trucks ahead of time and ensuring the customer had what was needed at the time of pick-up. We finally got the truck home 2.5 hours later than our original pick-up time that we had scheduled. During the drive to our new home (across multiple states), the truck got a flat tire, which only added to the overall problems we faced with this company. When I went onto UHaul’s website and chatted with Customer Service to request remuneration or something for the problems caused by lack of preparation, they said they couldn’t handle it and I’d need to call the final store directly. But three stores were involved in this big problem.
William PI was a little disappointed that the app tried to charge me a $25 "cleaning fee" even though it was not part of my estimate, and there was no reason, no dirt whatsoever, i had the truck for 2 hours. Luckily the manager was there and assured me I wouldn't be charged. But why was I slammed with that fee? Felt like Uhaul app was trying to rip me off and if I hadn't caught it and the manager hadn't been there, I might have been charged a Bogus cleaning fee. Uhaul needs to fix this on the app. Otherwise I was very happy with the Uhaul franchise at Jolly and Cedar.

MOHAMED OAs a long going customer, for a U-Haul. I have been using U-Haul for a long time. I suggest one thing. Is that the workers, pay attention to the customers, and stop talking to each other about personal business in the workplace. If they would do less talking and more work, things will be much much better. Not saying that they're not good, but entering into a business where you have to use personal information. And also use your financial services. The workers need to focus more on the customers, then focusing on their personal lives, and talking all the time. Pay attention to what they are doing, in a lot of mistakes will not be made.
TARSHA Ewell, I had to put air in two tires before I even took the truck then I put gas exactly where the gage was when I picked up only to find that I was charged for two more gallons…really? I didn’t even use the truck for 24 hours so will not be using again.

I called multiple times and no one would answer. I tried the online services and that was unsuccessful. There was no reply to the automated system that emailed me. The phone prompts kept transferring me to out of town stores. The out of town lady never called back. Three days later my son had to come in for service to cancel the storage unit. The unit was perfect for our items. Please improve the consistency of the front desk phone service. Thank You!
Rameisha R | Overall ExperienceMy storage was nice and clean when I moved in and once I came to get my things months later I discovered that my boxes, clothes sofa and love seat had mouse/rat droppings in, around and my child and I belongs and out things. You could see that they been crawling along my furniture, chewed bags of our clothes, and boxes of my child's things. We had to throw away most of the furniture along with clothing items for both of us. Once I seen them I took pictures and went to go speak with a manager which was Dimitrius at the time and he came and looked inside the unit with me as well seen that there was no food or anything around in my unit. He also took picture and I sent them to his email as well. He was very helpful about the situation but I'm still upset because we lost most of our things that I worked hard for.
Malaya C | Overall ExperienceThe only people that were nice and understanding was the people on the phone for customer service and the manager of the U-Haul store. The guy that I had spoke to gave us the wrong storage unit knowing that I told him that we had a whole U-Haul and I need a big unit, he gave us the smallest storage unit there was. So when we got there to unload our things we couldn't even get into the unit because how small it was, and the U-Haul place was closed so I had to drive back to Corunna where I lived. I had to have the truck one more night. When we went back up to the U-Haul place the manager was kind and helped us get a bigger unit. I am upset because I am still getting charged for the truck when it was not my fault that I had to go back to my house with the truck and then back to Lansing to return it. We did however get our stuff out on the 19, I did call and told one of the guys there that we moved our stuff out. Also there is a bolt by the storage unit door that is not covered and I literally hurt my middle finger knuckle it went into my skin deeply and it was very bloody and painful. I had used this U-Haul service in the past and I loved it was very pleased, but this time around I was and still am displeased. Again the manager of the store was very understanding and helpful.

I was hesitant to go back but it’s the most convenient one. I was beyond pleased with the difference in cleanliness, customer service, and overall organization that I saw. Huge change from a year and a half ago! I was a little apprehensive about my things being safe at this store due to location but Jordan Martin took me to where my belongings would be held and showed me how secure the area was and that everything is under surveillance. Jordan was so friendly, personable, and reassuring which made me feel safe. I will be coming here for future services and also be recommending this location to everyone!!! Excellent job!!!! I am so happy with my experience!!!!
