Didn't realize that the fuel was empty until after I left. Didn't have time to return and get a new truck.

DON FService representative was friendly, attentive and provided great support.. My only negative is the tire strap had been cut down shorter and we could not use it for the vehicle we had to move. We had to use our own strap. Other than that, the trailer was great.

ALIXAUNDREA PThe staff and equipment were above par. The location was sketchy because it’s downtown Tacoma. Had to drive through homeless fires. There was a homeless man taking gas from uhaul trucks when we dropped off. A homeless woman combing out her wig in the parking lot, using a truck mirror. It was scary dropping the truck off.
MELISSA SSomehow some part time security to stop the gasoline theft. They cant put locking caps or the tanks will be drilled.
DON FGood equipment. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable woman employee. Location is dangerous. It is in an homeless encampment and high crime area. Open drug use everywhere. This is not U hauls fault. The city of Tacoma does nothing about it.

ROMAIN MTruck was not marked with a clear unit number on the outside that matched the keys, so I had to try trucks until I found one that the keys worked in. The loading area of the truck was not swept out, the cabin area had not been wiped down or cleaned in any manner, there were coffee/soda drippings in the cup holder that were so old that they had turned into a thick sticky syrup. To top it off, there was zero fuel in the truck, not just the needle saying no fuel, but even the digital display said "0 miles until empty." I didn't check the oil, but it felt like the engine wasn't running smooth, so the truck was probably due for an oil change, and the fuel cap sensor was broken, which kept the washing on the dash in place of the mpg gauge. The place seemed to be run by a couple of kids.
Jasen SAlways professional friendly service. The best crew you would expect. A amazing Team that knows how difficult it is to maintain a fleet up and running.
DON FFirst truck was empty of gas, it had additional damage making it unserviceable. Management did reduce our bill but we got a smaller truck. The location obviously needs a perimeter fence to protect its trucks. The maintenance obviously needs an upgrade.

DORETHA KThere is major construction going on at this location and no signage where to go. The truck cab smelled of body odor and there was garbage in the back of the truck. The steering wheel was absolutely disgusting. I was given a truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I would expect it to be full and not have to get fuel out the gate and then when I return the truck.

LAMARR BSuper sketchy location. Druggies and scary people. NOT the attendant- he was cool. The tank was almost empty when I picked it up. It’s well known the locals siphon gas every day and night. Why was I charged a $40 gas fee!?! Dylan Purchase

Jeffery BI returned my rental trailer to the original pick-up location at the Tacoma Dome Location, not this location. Then Uhaul overcharged me over an additional $100.00 through some glitch or error. The customer service representive could not correct it over the phone, so now I have to make an additional trip to the location to resolve this issue.
ADAM GHad a blowout on one of the tires could do a better job of maintaining tires .
BRADLEY SOnce I found the office I was given quick service and they were very helpful.
KENNETH PThe only silver lining in my recent uhaul experience was Jonathan. He was great and helped mitigate the awful uhaul reservation nightmare that has become standard. Changed location last minute, didn’t have my rental available for mobile check in, customer service on the phone was zero help and offered to solutions other than just waiting until the store opened. I won’t be using uhaul anymore as you do not honor your “guaranteed” reservations for time, location, or even equipment. Not sure what those guarantees are for other than making people think they have what they need until the last minute so they don’t use an alternative. 0/5 (except for Jonathan who showed up early and helped me out)

CHRISTOPHER JThere was a lot of construction there & U Jaul changed my ick up location twice. The trailer smelled heavily of marijuna & there was marijuana all over the inside of the trailer, my son took a picture. For a rental of $158 from 9:30am- 5pm (returning that same day). I feel it should have been clean.

RICKY HThe person at the front desk seemed uninterested in helping me. It came across as rude. She was laughing and enjoying the person on the phone who she helped for 10 minutes while we stood in the trailer waiting for it to end. Didn’t acknowledge us or ask us to wait. Then she seemed so put out by my questions. And why did she need my license for such a long time - why did she take a photo of it but never explain why or answer when asked? It wasn’t pleasant and I won’t be using this location again. The schedule confirmation team is incredibly kind and helpful but the person onsite was the opposite. Ma’am, fix your face before dealing with the public or get a job where rudeness is acceptable.
MARENA BOriginally rented a van on app. Got there and supposedly the 2 they had on site where out of commission so I had to do 10’ truck which the mileage was two as much and wouldn’t discount the difference told me I could go to another facility. Bad customer service if your site says you have availability but you don’t take care of the damn customer…

PATRICK JAdvised by a U-Haul rep to drop off a truck when they opened. He saw my reservation and put in the address here, when dropped off as agreed I was charged an additional day of rental and the rep that checked me out said that the guys been doing it to a lot of people. He said I could have dropped off over night and I made it clear that I was told I couldn’t and had to wait until they opened. Stated then that the rental charge is out of there hand and it’s U-Haul that charges it.

DALENDA HThe auto transport trailer had defective brakes. They shuddered violently when applied and I considered the trailer unsafe. I was able to use it by only applying light brake pressure. I informed the manager at U Haul of the problem and told him that the trailer had unsafe brakes and that it should not be rented again until the brake problem was corrected.

Steve B | First ImpressionsI had my things stored for about 2 years, and in those two years the store moved around. The ease of opening one of the bay doors to load and unload was not there this time. It was much harder moving a big toolbox down the ramp and across the pavement. Not the best.
