Had a wonderful experience with the ocotillo U-Haul location. Staff were friendly and inviting. Jerry was incredible to deal with, very personable, and made the drop off process very easy. Definitely recommend this location!!

DENNIS TDid not appreciate the Manager telling me I had to purchase straps for my truck. He said they only have chains. So, not knowing any better, I purchased the straps. I have used Ugaul in the past for auto transport and have never been told I needed straps for my vehicle. Just bad business practices.
JAMES SI appreciate that you have an unassisted check in process but the process is too cumbersome. The staff at the facility were very helpful and if the facility is open I will not use not be using the self check in process

TRAVIS MI showed up at this location 30 minutes before opening. There was the General manager and an employee that arrived and the got me in before actual opening! They didn’t want me to have to wait! They were friendly, and extremely helpful! This will be my exclusive location from here on out!
Cody CThe young man who assisted me when I dropped off the 6x12 trailer apparently didn’t log it into their system. Later that day I received a call asking why I hadn’t brought it back. Perhaps a bit more training is needed.

Lance FThe first Uhaul place I went to put the hitch on incorrectly. The second one had the trailer but said he could not attach since the hitch was way to loose and they did not put in a sleeve. I then decided to get a bigger trailer so the 2nd uhaul place called a 3rd in Queen Creek and they had a sleeve and a larger trailer. I then ended up there and finally installed correctly. It was a bit of a fiasco and took me way longer than it should have but all turned out okay in the end.
JENIFER MEverything was great and I have 0 complaints but I would recommend the young girls not be in charge of taking trailers off of vehicles. The young lady was trying so hard to pick up the trailer and flat out could not. I had to do it for her to prevent her from hurting herself. As a nurse that works with patients with back injuries I would highly suggest getting equipment to lift the trailer off or stronger people or multiples when taking trailers off of vehicles.

I would say that is awesome customer service. I will definitely refer anyone looking for a rental vehicle or a storage unit to this location. Robinson and his staff are awesome.

Ronald M | First ImpressionsTruck's AC failed in 90-degree-plus heat. No compensation or adjustment was offered. When you rent out high-mileage trucks and key equipment fails (such as the air conditioning, which is key equipment in Phoenix), you should offer some form of compensation or adjustment.

Jon GThe check out process was smooth and the vehicle appeared virtually new, but it seemed to have extremely low fuel efficiency. My in-town trip was only 13 miles, yet I needed to add over 4 gallons to reach the original fuel level. Logically, this means that either the fuel level was displaying inaccurately in the vehicle, or the vehicle was only getting around 3.25 mpg. The possibility of either scenario is worrisome. For the record, I did NOT let the vehicle sit and idle for any amount of time other than what was required to immediately park. The dash display showed my avg fuel efficiency as 9.8 mpg, so why was I only getting 3.25? I’m not really sure what they can do about it, but it just doesn’t seem right.
