We picked up the trailer in San Antonio drove to Austin when we load the truck into the trailer the truck did not fit due to the trailer being to short. We called customer service and just kept getting the runaround as soon as getting help. We need a larger trailer. Apparently no one knew anything and just kept giving us different answers. We waste several hours driving from San Antonio to Austin and back to San Antonio to take back a trailer that not compatible to haul the vehicle we needed to deliver. We paid over $100 dollars and were told that we wouldn’t get a refund. We showed the employee a photo of the truck on the trailer and he didn’t want to see it. Very disappointed

John CFrom day one I had a very bad experience. From giving me someone else's unit to getting the U-Haul I rented towed then my property that was it throwed away. Next getting late charge fees when I shouldn't be getting late charge fees on the date they had on my paperwork for renting a unit because technically I didn't get my unit on that date since they had to issue me another unit 😞 because when I finally packed my things to storage at this location. I come to find out it belonged to someone else . So technically they were supposed to have redone my rental agreement all over again and changed the date to the actually date I got to access my unit to put my property in. Next they get the U-Haul I'm renting towed because I called to ask for some assistance because I left the U-Haul keys locked inside the U-Haul truck by accident for rushing because they were already trying to charge me since 3 days ago. But remember they had mess up and gave someone else's unit. So I couldn't put my things in my storage till they issued me another meanwhile I stayed with the U-Haul that had my things in it for extra days cus I didn't have a unit to put it in. My property that I had in the U-Haul when it got towed got thrown away because they wanted me to pay for the towed when I never asked for the U-Haul to get towed. They don't charge me that after all but by the time they get that clear. They said my things were in the U-Haul too long and I passed my date to retreat my property. When they weren't letting me mind you because they wanted me to pay the towed at first but then realized I never asked for a towed and they had messed up and sent one. When they could of just got the extra keys to open the U-Haul and sent me off my merry way. Last but not least still getting late charge fees for my unit on the wrong date. If they would of correct it I would of never got late charge fees accumulated to were my bill from $176 + late charge fee $15 two days after that another late charge fees $15 by then it too much for me to pay that I have to start saving . I end up passing 30 days that charge now and extra $50 that my bill was already at $260. My bill was like that for 3 months that I got behind on my bills. By then my bill was close to $1000 . They told me that they still had my property but that I had 3 weeks to pay it off or my property was going to get a auction out so I don't get you paid and I think my stuff got auction out on 3 months later I find out they still have my property and now my bills 2000 so of course I couldn't come up with that money and I told her to ask somebody they could work with me I mean the reason why I wasn't paying it was cuz I thought my stuff was already auction out so I wouldn't have accumulated to 2000 so they said now property yesterday so now I lost all my property and all my furniture everything else to learn I'm trying to get into if they could reimburse me in some way and they said no I lose my fault I don't recommend this place at all

ANGIE RLocation was not set properly and instead of asking me for an adrenaline he left the address blank and told me i could drop the truck off at any uhaul location but that was not the case. I set my drop off location on the online reservation and it got changed without my knowledge or consent to a location 30 minutes away from my original drop off location on my reservation.
ALEXANDRA SI think some fraud took place with this store/transaction. I have not been to this store or used any uhaul services lately, so I'm really confused why I started getting notifications about a reservation I never made. I don't know how or why my account was accessed and used for this uhaul service, except to commit some kind of fraud, so I have deactivated my account and will not be using any uhaul services going forward

WAYNE GTook over an hour from arriving to get our rental equipment. Checked in online and still got a text that we weren’t there to pick it up and our order was canceled. Luckily through text they readjusted the time. But how they managed the location- it was poorly done. One guy stayed outside and didn’t even help, the one on the inside was doing everything from taking orders, making reservations, checking people in and giving out equipment. He hooked it to our truck and just took off. Other locations would have had us check the wiring and one person inside checking people in and another outside giving the equipment.

Janet Brats ate thru ALOT of my boxes! I was Shocked and appalled. I fell behind due to illness and being hospitalized ..yet I got little yo no break on late fees and interest charges. I paid and moved out. Has left a bad taste among other unnecessarily charges that I had to dispute to get finally waived. Overall U-haul is tge main and closest type in my area to use.

SAM MThis location does not have enough staff. I rent from this location at least once a month, and every time I go to pick it up, it's usually a 30-minute wait just to talk to someone because there is not enough staff. The most I've seen is two people, but it seems like only one can check customers in and out. The employees are doing everything they can to, but there's too much work for two people. One employee is filling propane tanks with three people in line. I'm not sure what the other employee is doing. I don't recommend this location so maybe I can get in and out faster.

MICHAEL RFirst off there is nothing stating that is your paying cash or by cash app card that there is a 160.00 deposit. That’s BS! Second off come off nothing was ready and had to wait in line for a long time cause people didn’t know what they were doing or trucks were not ready or brought back late I don’t know nothing was communicated to any of us waiting.. Third the side mirrors on the truck were loose and kept moving so you couldn’t see anything to change lanes or backing up nothing.
JANICE MBefore the driver drives away it would be nice to make sure to inform customer where to turn on the emergency lights. And help the customer with the rear view mirrors. To make sure they are set correctly. I am and elderly person and this would have helped me a lot. Other than that everything was great.

BENJAMIN SNo customer service. Just given the keys and was told where the truck was. Did the walk through myself to examine the vehicle. Gas was not at half a tank but couldn’t get anyone there to verify. Also the transmission light was on the whole time. It was a scary drive being that the truck wasn’t running properly. The truck also smelled like it had a gas leak. Making loading the truck even more difficult not to mention dangerous.

Customer service directs me to the store for correction and the store continues to direct me to customer service. Enough is Enough I know 1.5yrs is more than enough time to make adequate corrections or take it off of the contract! Period.

I had to load the trailer because the one employee was taking care of others. Need to hire more employees. I have no issues with the employee he was busy. This is a large location with one employee is unacceptable.

CHRISCHELLE OI didn’t like the fact that they try to overcharge me an extra day in about $30 for 40 miles
ELMER EProvide a key to the pad lock on the back of the truck. I had to wait 4 hours for a uhaul person to come and cut the lock off. I had to pay double to my movers. The job was for 4 hours w/ two moving guys at $100 an hour---total was suppose to be $400, but instead I had to pay them $800 because we had to wait the 4 hours for the key to be removed. The "lovely" manager- Cody-- was going to charge me the extra mile I went over, but then said he'd take it out of his pocket. So freaking sweet of him. He also said he wasn't going to charge me the extra day fee----I had to inform him that the call center said that they were going to push my return time back from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. because of the hassle and the no key to the padlock issue. I feel I should be compensated for the hassle that this location caused me. I called the 800# and was told that the manger would be calling me back----it's been 3 days and I still haven't heard from him.
JULIA MPlease hire more people so someone can answer the phone. I was given the number to this location by the young man who helped me check out the truck. But when I called it no one ever picked up the phone, I was always rerouted to another U-Haul representative somewhere else. I got great service from them but I was trying to reach the young man who helped me check out the truck.
MYRON RRental truck had way to much damage on the exterior. A/C or Heat would not work. They best thing was Cody assisted with the uhaul app. Ask it kept felling.
DANIEL GEverything was great. I have rented from this Uhaul dealer at least once a year for multiple years. They always take good care of me.

EDUARDO UIf I would have realized that the mileage and gas tank data inputted by Uhaul was inaccurate i would have double checked and confirmed. Nonetheless, I confirmed with my phones location services and I only traveled 37 miles from the location and back. Then the gas tank was just above a quarter tank and uhaul had it documented as just below a half a tank. I will never forget to double check.

BENJAMIN VLocation of truck was unacceptable and unable to be found without assistance - so I was forced to wait for staff to arrive on-site. Further, they did not have additional equipment (utility dolly or furniture pads). The gentleman helping me also wasn't very friendly. He seemed to believe not being able to find the truck on the far side of a building, a ways away, was my problem and that he shouldn't have needed to bother with me at all.

Look at my bank transactions and they charged me $75. They charged me $30 just for pumping the gas. If he had told me that, I would've forced my half cripple behind to get back in that truck and fueled up myself. He didn't tell me about the $30 fee so I felt I should've gotten it back but I didn't. Never again. Guy that helped me with the storage was amazing...great customer service. Other guy screwed me with the fuel.

No I'm not talking about the trip either. I'm talking about the horrible rat infested station in Indio on Monroe horrible dirty filthy with their dates hasn't been cleaning years they rent me a truck the gas was at a quarter tank and for some reason it was said that it was at half a tank it was not I even took a picture of it but nobody will believe me they think the picture could be taken at any time although the picture itself shows the time it took me a long time these guys there they're old and they didn't know how to charge me for my rental. The truck was filthy filthy. I have rented from U-Haul many times and they always topped there vehicles. And they clean them U-Haul was always clean now you can bet it's always dirty and trash inside there and other people's rentals information in there it's just horrible I hope I never have to use you guys again

Our storage unit was discovered unlocked in June. Items such as an appliance dolly, 2 step ladder, etc were found missing upon move out. The large vanbody storage units are susceptible to break-ins due to their separate location. There is no fence or gate to protect tenants storage units.
