The worker was extremely rude. I let him know the truck was out front and he responded "i dont think you're right, but lets check" and proceeds to walk all the way to the back. the the truck didn't even have the equipment i needed... I had to drive allllll the way back and be charged for miles and mileage. not good at all.

We returned the van after closing, so we had to do a key drop in the dropbox, I got to the U-Haul building and I was unable to do a key drop on the app. It kept glitching and it did not work so I was unsuccessful, I was live chatting with the U-Haul person on the app and they couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working either so I did not get to do the in app check-in , but during the live chat, the woman assured me they would not charge me the $20 for the employees having to check it in the next morning. They were wonderful and did not charge me. The truck was very clean. It was amazing! I needed a mattress cover bag with handles, but they were out of the full size which was a bummer but everything else was perfect!

The location is in a bad spot so it takes a long time to get off premises. The only staff member working there is always in the back and never at the desk. The wait time for him to come out of the back is 20+ minutes. He gave us the keys for the wrong truck and then had to go find the right truck. He told us the gas was at 1 level when we got the truck but it was at less and then he charged us for bringing it back at the level we got it at. I tried to contact him about the link not working to check out the truck and no answer. He wasn’t in the store when we brought the truck back and we had to wait half an hour for him to appear. The inside of this location looks like they might be getting ready to go out of business or move it’s very empty on one side. It was just an overall bad experience at this location.

The truck smelled like cigarettes when I picked it up. Not sure if you have a non-smoking policy but it was annoying for a non-smoker. Luckily we only needed the truck for a short move in Tempe.

The truck I rented had horrible stirring problems and would veer to the right with out me intentionally turning that way.I felt very unsafe driving on the freeway with a fully loaded truck I speak for my girlfriend on that also she didn't want to keep driving on the freeway because it was a very unsteady drive to are destination. Also the RPMs between gear shifts was off the shifting was either late or didn't go through all the way at all. Sorry I'm just letting you guys know that I didn't have a very good experience at all with my rental and I what's l ended up returning the vehicle a few hours early and had a friend let us use his pick up truck to move the rest of are belongings.i left a comment last night about these issues and tried to get ahold of your corporate office today about this but had no luck. If possible could I please have a person that is higher up in the company to reach out to me about these issues that I'm reporting right now?I would really appreciate it.i really think I should have been given a vehicle that was in better driving condition then the one I received or a refund

the people said one thing and then have me another— they put me in a position where i had to drive back and forth instead of one trip— forgot to give me the dolly k paid for so i had to drive back to the u-haul location to pick it up and then start my move— the truck wasn’t big enough and had no ramp even though i asked for the same truck i got before. one guy said the insurance was $15 but then charged me $30, i was charged taxes on my order three times. THREE TIMES. I went to the gas station, filled up, when to return the equipment, and then was charged for not filling it up when I. DID. I was told this location charges for anything they can because “people won’t ask questions.” I didn’t believe that but that is exactly what i experienced. Reported to BBC and filled an Attorney General complaint.

Topher at the office on McClintock and 202 was spot on ! A plus service on his part. Kind to my fiance and kid and didn’t run me around with nonsense. I recommend people ask for him when going to this location. Thanks Topher!

I dropped the keys off and left, very minimal conversation with staff who helped me but seemed irritated that I interrupted their conversation upon arriving in the store. The location was clean but not inviting, staff was helpful but seemingly reluctant to do so.

The lady at the front desk was really lazy. She did not come out to give us a walk through of the truck. The fuel was found to be only left with 20 miles and was asked to fill up until 1/4th. I was not aware about the ramp on the truck until very late. We did not want the dolly and she refused to keep it in the uhaul shop saying they will come searching for the dolly when truck is returned. We had to forcibly take it. I had my own dolly. She did not provide lock code while taking the truck. We had to go to office again to ask for the code.

The gas mileage on paperwork was wrong before I even left the lot I went inside to let associate know. Was told don't worry about but upon returning truck. An attempt to debit my card 31.00 because gas wasn't back to what paperwork stated. So I had to argue with them to correct the issue. Poor customer service from this location. Lazy employees. Making formal complaint about associate and his behavior towards customers. He's very unprofessional and needs to be terminated

I made my reservation online and was supposed to be charged $103 including insurance and tax. When I went to pick it up, they at first tried to charge me $144, and after I showed them my online reservation they lowered it to $120. Still more than I should have paid. After I returned the truck I was charged an additional $50. I filled it with gas and returned it on time and was not informed why I was charged an additional $50. After discussing this with multiple friends who have used U-Haul many times in the past, I don’t believe this situation was handled well by you at all and I don’t appreciate being overcharged.

The front desk guy took so long as the first problem. The second one is you guys over he told us that he would be here at 8:15 PM and that we wouldn’t get charged and will be drop it off at 8:15 PM when we got there at eight, he wasn’t there. Price was way too much for usage of only 3 hours max. You are on college campus make the price cheaper. Plus make sure the lights on the dash work, but I couldn’t see any of my speed or fuel and such. DO BETTER!

Desk assistant said the tank was full of gas and i should return it as such, got in and it was obvious it was not full probably 7/8th full. Only drove the uhaul about 6 miles at MOST and had to put over 5 gallons of gas in it because it had not been filled before. took a photo of gas gauge when i picked it up and then after i dropped it off to show it what it looked like actually full. They told me their was nothing i could do about it when i dropped it off even though i showed them the photo which was timestamped to when i picked it up and the mileage makes it obvious theres no way i could of used 5 + gallons of gas.

The vehicle I rented was dirty and had damage that wasn’t shown in the existing photos so I made sure to document the existing condition and also the condition upon return to show the proper damage and cleanliness. I arrived at the return location before close but the doors were already locked and the employee inside acknowledged me but would not help until after closing time he came out to tell me that they were closed. I used the mobile return but there were issues with the photo upload and the app closed and completed the return process before I completed uploading all the necessary photos.

Nationwide the computer network for UHaul was down for renting so it delayed me picking up my truck for 2 hours but the customer service at this location was excellent. She changed my rental time and drop off time once the network was back online. It was kind. She and her coworker were apologetic and friendly when this was out of their control.

Location is not in a great area and there were some suspicious characters wandering by. Definitely didn’t feel safe unless I was locked in my car.

It seemed to me that the 2 people working were very lazy and didn't want to do anything but sit behind the counter. We needed help with locating the vehicle and also walking around the vehicle to inspect the scratches and break in the windshield and it seemed like they just wanted us to do everything ourselves without them leaving the counter. When we brought it back to turn it in before they closed so we could make sure there were no problems, the store was closed. Some people outside waiting said that the person inside had to run an errand. To me this is unacceptable! The store closes at 7:30 and we waited for a half an hour and they never returned so we just did the self checkout online after we spoke with a representative on the phone. Very unprofessional! There were other people also waiting to turn in vehicles before they closed.

Staff were extremely unfriendly. Rented 12 boxes and wouldn't let us make 2 trips to pick them up. Mistakenly bought a hand cart and furniture dolly. Uhaul rep at first denied me the ability to return instead if rent; l hadn't even left tbe counter!! Finally allowed me to return but did not issue any documents to me for proof that l returned the items; claimed l would get an email which never came. We went to the North McClintock location (which is our usual rental location). The McClintock employees were friendly and accomodating, especially Giovanni! He contacted the manager and my refund was promptly issued. Will not return to the Tempe Town location. Horrible experience.

Our U-Haul was scheduled to be ready at 7:00 am. The employee did not arrive to the store until 7:08 and was not ready to let us inside the store until 7:20. Once inside, the system was not running and we did not get checked in until 7:38. The employee was rude and made it seem like it was our fault. They gave us the keys and we had to search the front and back lot for our U-Haul. We did not leave until 7:50 AM. Seeing that it was a 100+ degree day, we were very upset loosing a morning hour to our moving time.

Check your receipt before you leave the building they added equipment that I did not want and did not get, then after I realized it, when I checked my van back in I notified them but then got charged for missing items, well if I did not get it how could it be lost, and when I called got told oh well too bad. Thanks to the main customer support lady I believe Patricia., it all got worked out but still not a nice experience
