I stored my RV at clinton storage with the understanding that i would have power for two hours a day to keep batteries charged up. For two years in a row that was not the case and i lost my batteries. Last year my rv was broken into. Both these things werebrought to the attention of the manager I was yelled at and treated with disrespect I will never do business at tge location ever again Very rude person working there

Fernanda ZI had no interaction with these people. YOUR app and YOUR website SUCK and this experience was nothing but hell AND you owe me money. Because you said $31 less if I dropped off in Clinton. My confirmation when I set this all up said ~$80 but when the pick up location charged my card it was over $140. Complete bullshit. AND your app kept crashing, so the checkout experience cut me off. I took a ton of photos on my phone and called for help/to complain. AND it’s ridiculous I’m being charged for ~16 miles over when the closest pick up was 11 miles away and the drop off you sent me to was 10 miles away. So you do the math. I want someone to handle this ASAP. Oh, and the app wouldn’t let me setup my account on the first try bc it said I tried TOO many times. I hit the button once. But then the website was fine. However, a million other things were shit on your website and only worked on the app. This whole thing sucked, I will never use you again, and yes I will tell every soul I know.

JOUNG G | Overall ExperienceThe seats of our rental van smelled awful, but we didn't realize until we had sat on them for a while so we couldn't turn around to return the van. We had to cover the seats with towels, and had to change our clothes to avoid the worst of the smell. We traveled with the windows down when we could. When we complained on our return, we were given no apology, no refund for the inconvenience, and claims that. they couldn't smell anything. We spent over $320.00 - not a small amount and I think we should have been given a rebate of some kind, no matter how small, to show good intent. We wont be using this Uhaul location in the future. Too bad because we have rented from this location often and have always been happy.

Helio PThis rental was ridculously expensive and the trailer states it is economical. Pulling this trailer with my 2022 Ford Edge caused double the gas comsumption adding to the already high price for the rental. When I set up the dropoff, I told the agent that I wanted the southmost location in Leesburg, FL. She set up Pearl Paint which was another 4 miles north of the requested location and much more difficult to get in and out of.

Barbara SAuthur Dulong of U-Haul of Ayer was EXCELLENT in ALL respects, and provided superior service, in my home town of Ayer, for years for our motor-home [registered in MA, fully insured and in active use for vacations]. Unfortunately, the franchise owner evicted us, after years of faithful patronage, because he wanted to use the open space to place old, used U-Haul box truck "bodies" in the open spaces to provide additional storage units for sale without building more conventional storage units on the site. This forced us to relocate at considerable inconvenience, and ultimately re-locate to the Clinton facility, 13 miles away.

I got a phone call from “customer service” asking why I had not picked up the truck yet, even though I was on time and waited at the facility for 30 minutes.(l left and waited for her to call when it arrived) Carol looked everywhere for another truck but none were available. She did a great job. Eventually the truck was returned - we went to pick it up and your computer system crashed while she was helping 4 customers by herself. I never received an acknowledgment or discount for the delay. We almost missed our appointment for moving my son into his new dorm. Even though U-Haul has better prices, the hassle was not worth it.
Gilda DWas called x2 to ask if I could pick up early, even though during the first call I said I could not and they changed it to online pickup, which was fine. Got there, online pickup not working so I had to go in anyway. Had to run my card THREE times to finalize my contract. Then he handed me keys and the truck wasn’t even on the lot, it was behind the locked fence and he had to go get it. I left the lot at 1050 for a 1030 reservation which put my whole day behind.

I reserved a truck when I got there to get it your employee was on his phone on speaker I had to listen to cursing and yelling through the phone . The next day went to return truck same employee there when I went in again on his phone. Nobody was in there and I had to ask him to check in my rental so I could get my final bill. He didn't seem happy I had asked, he went outside entered the amount of gas and milage . He never looked the truck over for damage or to see if the blankets had been returned. And after watching him Not be bothered I had said wow u have it made you didn't do ur job and then parked the truck without cleaning it or sanitizing it. He responded with I don't do shit . My response was I can see that . I was Not Impressed and would never pay someone to do nothing and openly admit it Proudly to a Customer whom was once a GM there 😡

Tom BThe cargo van was dispatched to me completely filthy, both in the front and back. I understand around this time of year with all the snow, salt and freezing temperatures, it’s challenging to keep the interiors clean, but there was trash in all both doors and a tack on the passenger seat. ALL FOUR TIRES had low air pressure in the 50s/60s when the PSI should be at 80. This is not something I would ever complain about nor ask for a refund, simply just inform the manager or whomever is working upon returning it since this isn’t usually my experience. I understand I am not leasing a luxury vehicle but I actually do expect them to be relatively clean - at least all trash removed - and more importantly, safe. The tire pressure is an issue and should be routinely checked especially during the colder months. Despite filling up the cargo van to a full level prior to returning it, I was charged as if the van were brought back with only a quarter tank. I suspect whoever checked the vehicle didn’t check the gas gauge but the temperature gauge which is just an absolute amateur move. I have a receipt for the gas. I sincerely doubt this vehicle was dispatched after I dropped it off at 2 PM so I would like an employee to double check the gas level first thing tomorrow morning. You can also check ALL my past reservations and you’ll find I’ve never failed to fill the gas tank. Failure to do so is just incredibly rude and inconsiderate to the next customer. The Clinton U-Haul location closes at 3 PM on Sundays. I was disappointed when I noticed the error at 2:45 PM - and when I immediately called in hopes to catch someone before the location closed, no one answered at the store location. I called 10 times. This is just pure laziness - either staff didn’t want to answer a customer’s call so close to closing or they left early. This experience was just completely frustrating and unacceptable and this is coming from a customer who does not spend hundreds at U-Haul annually, I spend thousands. And this is the first time I have ever complained. I would like a full refund and I want my email forwarded to the current, new manager at the Clinton location so she’s aware of the situation. Since she took over the store location, the location itself appears much more organized and clean. She should be aware of this situation.

We had to let the moving company leave and go to a different town to unload the entire truck the next day by ourselves. And then he still charged after saying he didn’t put the charge through…for the unit we were locked out of. That was 3 days of multiple phone calls to get refunded.

Also they tend to charge you things that don’t need to. Clinton location charged me for cleaning when I never heard of that and I left the unit clean how it was. They still charged me for cleaning. Can't speak highly enough about the service. The condition of the unit I rented was poor; I had a leak that caused slight damage to my items (I was switched to a different space once I mentioned it). I do wish the access hours were a bit longer, as I sometimes need to gather things for my business later at night. It's not a huge deal would, but it would be so much more convenient if it was 24-hour access. All in all, I am very happy with my experience.

A tall particle board book shelf (not great material to begin with) it swelled from the dampness. And I also had to dispose of a couch due to mold. I didn’t bother to fill out a claim for these items as they weren’t great to begin with! If you need to store something long term you may want to find a climate controlled facility. If you just need some space for plastic totes and things of that nature this facility would be perfect. They’re so great to work with for renting their trucks also!
