Too many disconnects and Uhaul took advantage of me, never responded to my email, and expected me, the customer to rectify their incompetence. First, trailer not reserved at location requested. Had to drive across town to get it. Given a free day, but the number of days reserved were increased. Second, once at the other city, Uhaul texts requesting that I return to a location on the other side of town, not the location five minutes away ASAP because they had another customer waiting for the trailer. So, I was basically the Uhaul "bitch" that had to drive across two towns because Uhaul staff would not and overcharged on a 48-hour rental. And had my email ignored. Frankly, one-star is too high of a rating. The person that installed the wire harness was nice.
BENJAMIN KShannon was awesome. Super friendly and answered all my questions. Malia (from the reservations department i think) was also great. we had some confusion with regards to dropping off the truck and trailer at different locations and she was very helpful and friendly while we resolved the issue.

RONALD RI was seriously pissed off when I arrived at the first U-Haul location to pick up my reserved car trailer only to find that they'd released it to someone else. What's the point of a reservation if it's not honored and no follow up call ?
RICK SEverything was great, from the reservation via the app to pickup at the yard. The whole experience was smooth and easy to do. Drop off was a breeze as well

EMILY PStaff are unfriendly and uncaring. I have been here 3 times and they had the same unfriendly attitude each time. I will not go back. They do not explain the charges: I understood that local mileage does not matter, but they charged me extra for mileage for local use.
JOEL PWhen I reserved the truck I also reserved a pack of furniture pads and a dolly. When they pulled the truck up and gave it to me to drive off I assumed those items were in the bed but got to my moving destination to find they weren’t in the truck. When I returned it and let the inspection person know he didn’t even apologize. We could have used both but it was too far to drive back. Other than that it was excellent and I’ve only used your company for many moves. Have a nice day

Tod K | First ImpressionsVery frustrating App, I logged in 20 times trying to sort and find this location, doesn’t show on U-Haul Map or list, only by Googling and searching for a place I know is there, I found the address, but couldn’t drag it from browser to app..I finally got a reservation and then went to counter and waited, truck ran fine, the only thing is I should’ve taken picture of odometer. Maps showed exact mileage at 20 miles less than “allowed “ mileage, the gas was at 5/8’s tank instead of full, demand it be full or you will end up giving them $20 more in gas upon return. The location needs to be near a freeway, you spend valuable miles trying to get to location

DONNETRA SSo no, starting off the guy at the front didn’t put my dolly in the truck. I had to walk in and ask for it then WALK right out with it ? Embrassing ? When I paid for it. 2 he gave me the heavier one and I couldn’t even use it due to it being way to way I am a petite girl I can’t lift that Heavy dolly. I would love to see what I can do. STACIE HWent to pick up truck and was told that because my friend owed a bill that I couldn't rent a truck!!! I have rented multiple trucks with you guys lately AND have a storage with you guys!!! I was on a VERY tight schedule and had to take extra time to call and get it straightenef out etc and THEN the truck had issues and was fishtailing all over the place and I thought that I was going to flip over!! Absolutely horrible
MELINDA GFix the website. Location was fine, they just shared stuff that would have helped on the website. And they asked me several of the same questions as the website - trying to sell extra services. I never saw on the website when scheduling that all trailers are for a 2" ball - at least that is what i was told at the location. Maybe it was there but hard to know based on the 18 different fucking screens I had to go through and reject all the extra crap you were trying to sell me. Put all that shit on 1 screen and let me select yes if I want to expand it. Your process just makes you out to be complete ASSHATS. Back to the hitch - I have not used a smaller ball in the last 3 yrs so I had to go back home and find one. That info should be right there with the description of the trailer. Everyone at the location was helpful and the after hours return was helpful.
JOHN PThe truck smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Even with the windows lowered, it was like being in a smoky bar. I would not have rented if this had been noted. After returning the vehicle, I carefully followed all return guidelines in the app. I then looked everywhere for a drop box fired the keys. I found one in a return area and asked someone if I could use it. A UHaul worker said that I have to pull the vehicle around. I said I already followed the procedure in the app. He told me that I still needed to pull it around. I told him again that I had followed the instructions in the app. “He said you still need to pull it around. Is that a problem?” I said no and then called the U-Haul 800 number and asked the person there if I needed to pull it around. She said that I did not, so I left the keys in the drop box as the app directed. If I’ve already followed the directions to the letter, I don’t want to have to stay an extra 20 minutes quibbling about what next steps need to happen.

The best part was that after a miscue on the reservation , an associate with U-Haul made a very generous offer too rectify the problem and saved me time and expense to finish my tow . Very satisfied with the experience .

JAMES TYou have these impulse sale racks next to the registers. They are about a foot too tall. I cannot see if anyone is sitting at the counter or not from where a line would naturally form.

CAROL G | Overall ExperienceOur unit had a leak . Rain water got in and damaged 15 boxes . Had to buy 45 dollars worth new boxes and tape from you guys to repack the damaged boxes on site that day. Reported leak to staff member that finalized our move out from the unit .

When the manager met me at my unit after I discovered the break in all I got was a “well we’ve been calling you about your lock”. I received 1 voicemail from the facility regarding the break in’s but nothing more. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement considering there are no cameras facing any of the units and there has been nothing done to increase security. Since you need a code to get in and out of the gate I would assume the person doing the break ins is a current renter or they have given the gate code out to someone they know. We have opted to move our items to another storage facility and to not prorate our monthly rent because of our choice to move due to the circumstances is unacceptable.

Staff put a U-Haul lock on it, then said 'I' had to pay for a locksmith to cut it off! Had to file a police report and the forensic van came out to take pix and dust for prints. Was told this was an 'ongoing' problem at this location. Charged me late fees when I was not late. Called to dispute. Was told they would call back. Instead, sent a bill to my deceased father. Billed me for additional month AFTER I moved out of first unit because THEY were too lazy to walk the property! Just moved out of second unit...and 5 DAYS LATER, sent me a bill saying I'm late with my rent. Most incompetent, dishonest staff. This was at the Chandler, AZ location on Arizona Ave and Knox.

It would be nice if the rocks/dirt would have been pavement. I think that would make the experience much better. Also more lighting both outside and inside of the storage would be nice as well.

I came back to ask if i could get a refund for the 2 on wheels and was told no. You have video footage we didn’t use them and came back less than 45 mins to request this. I kept the large one because thats what we needed for the large pieces. Customer service is key they heard me going back and forth or what i needed and knew it was for dressers.

I experienced several destructive break-ins at this facility and well over $5,000 worth of things stolen over several weeks, that does not include cost of repairs & time spent trying to follow up with a manager that could never make himself available to show me what video they captured of the culprit (after having filed a police report & having a right to view the videos). That facility is poorly maintained, has the same cut chainlink fence still in place from the break-ins (just chained together something lousy), & lacks proper security to deter these crimes from occurring in the future. Potholes and mud puddles never get tended to, the gate was lubed once in my time there & you could really tell the difference when it finally happened. Uhaul needs to see how they're being represented out here. It's raggedy. Would not, Do not, Will not, Never Could I Recommend This Facility, individually. Uhaul as a whole, sure. But they need to put their thumb down on this place.

It took a medium uhaul truck to load up all my stuff, and I left with an amount that fits into my 2008 Chevy Malibu. I filed a police report and took all necessary measures to ensure some type of refund or answers as to why this had happened TWICE. I received one months refund and that was it. To say I am upset would be a massive understatement. I had things stolen from me that are priceless and can never be replaced, ever. Not to mention the sheer magnitude of stuff that was taken from me. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

My unit was in front of a huge water puddle and made it difficult to access my unit without dragging mud into it.the back lot needs asphalt. There was also no climate control available so I had to get my stuff out of there before it got too hot. If you have high end furniture this is probably not the best place to store your items. Price was reasonable. it's an old lot so don't have high expectations if you plan to store items here.

I was super nice to her and she wouldn’t make conversation with me but she talked to her co workers and joked with them. I washed her for a big truck and she said she didn’t have one. I found out the next day there were the big trucks. It seemed like she was trying to make my move harder than it needed to be. I had to take 5 trips in the little truck in 122 degree heat. I am 70 years old and I didn’t feel welcome at all. She had short multi colored short hair. I don’t think I will rent anything from hula again.

The assistant manager helped me back into a spot so my wife and I could unload. While unloading time was running out and instead of telling us to wrap things up we are closing the gentleman who check equipment in helped us unload. This type of service was great. Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they’re lighting has not changed on if it’s a woman that needed a unit at the facility! But overall, nice facility and yes during the day I felt safe! I would recommend facility!

It’s because of the nice man Justin that works at Chandler that I decided to keep my stuff there.
