EXTREMELY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY NICE!!! The GM at this location has a friendly demeanor and is quick on her feet. She is professional and helpful - there is no doubt she knows what she’s doing. Over charged for fuel refill upon return. I went 21 miles. The truck averages 12.4 miles per gallon per the odometer. That’s less than 2 gallons of fuel use. I was charged for 5 gallons of fuel use. When I pushed back, the store employee was argumentative and demanded to see my photo proof. He tried to run my credit card for the charges without telling me the charges. He insisted that I pay, saying I can take the issue up with the corporate offices. DO NOT USE THE McKINNEY UHALL on US 380 at State Highway 5!

Funny story. We stopped by one day to grab something. One of the elevators was not working and the other didn’t want to open. So my daughter and I took the stairs. We couldn’t get in the 2nd floor door. So we went back downstairs and couldn’t get in the 1st floor door LOL. I guess we could have gone out the emergency exit but me being the cheapskate I am I didn’t want to pay the $50 fine. I called the office and told the guy we were locked in the stairwell because we couldn’t use the elevator. He said he would be right there. We waited. And waited. Then we heard him say I am coming. Hang tight or words to that effect but then we realised he was talking to the elevator. He thought we were in the elevator!!! We banged on the door and yelled. We could hear him in the distance yelling we will get you out etc etc. Then we heard the sirens. My daughter and I both said the F word at the same time. We yelled and yelled and banged on the door some more. Finally your dude came and opened the door. We were mortified. Apologized to all the firefighters trying to open the closed elevator and left. So. For future reference, would I have been fined for escaping through the door because we were locked in?

They messed up my reservation, issued me faulty equipment, put my car on the tow dolly incorrectly almost resulting in catastrophic failure. Then, after all was said and done- they told me that THEIR MISTAKES were MY FAULT because I - and I QUOTE- "You must have not been paying attention."

The trailer I rented was clean as can be on the inside. Needs to be refurbished with new boards on the inside. The trailer could have been washed on the outside. Road grime and just dirty.

I was greeted rudely by the outside staff. He told me to go to the front but the doors did not open. After going back to him he got a girl to come open the door and then she disappeared. She did not offer to help me at all. I found the desk in the back of the store and there was a guy at the desk on the phone complaining to someone about his job. I stood there for 15 minutes before he offered to help me.

I only rented van for 3 hrs, when I returned the van the gentleman just took the keys and never inspected it, they accused me of having a crack in the window, they also called me in the morning to ask when I was going to return the van when I already had returned it the same day, I have a storage unit, and have been back and forth, There is always new employees there. They can not keep their staff, I would not use this storage facility, it’s poorly run,

I had to ask for a signed post-it showing I returned the 26’ foot truck. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Unprofessional. Rude and never answer the phone . Was over charged multiple times! Got stuck in the elevator and was told to get over it by one of the employees that decided to come out of the camera room when the paramedics arrived.

Communication is nonexistent. I scheduled my move out and I still was being charged for a month after I moved out and received multiple late notices. No one answers the phone or responds to emails but they still want to send out demands for payment. Such a headache and wouldn’t use this location again.

As I was returning my U-Haul equipment that I rented she yells at me and says that I’m not in the system I asked her is that my fault? The trailer is hooked up to my truck so obviously someone had to put it there. She was badgering me as if I had stolen it and then returned it because she couldn’t find it in the system. She had to get another employee to pull it up on the phone And found reservation …disheartening ! She needs better manners.. people skills, or maybe just work on her approach and manners… The way she came at me, what happened? it appear that U-Haul condoms this type of behavior…

Upon move out, 6/3/24, I told the male clerk I moved out out & did he need to see the picture I took? He said “no.” Why did I receive an email on on 6/7/24 stating I was late on rent & was receiving a $15.00 late charge. This is unacceptable! The job was not completed. It’s a really nice and clean facility. You can drive into the building bay and they have convenient rolling carts to carry everything, huge elevators and clean restrooms! The only thing I had trouble with was when I ordered a truck and storage, I couldn’t access the truck rental online to do the self check in. But it really made no difference in the scheme of things. The people were really nice and it was a quick process

I was told two different stories about my refund. I never got to talk to the manager, the salespeople kept telling me that he’ll call me back. Never did. I hate this place, I’ll never do business with them again.

We reserved a uhaul storage unit online through the online move in option. The website shows a Medium 10x10x10 interior unit available on the 2nd floor for $114.95/month. We completed the contract and then I received an email confirmation but it gave two unit #'s which I found to be strange. When I called, I was told that it is one unit it just has two doors. I thought.. hmm okay. We get to the unit to move in, to find they gave us two 5x10's instead of the 10x10 that we requested. This didnt work for us as we spent several hundred dollars on shelving to go inside the 10x10. When we brought this to their attention, we were told that the 10x10x10 is $165/month and we could transfer to that unit for that price. They refused to honor the signed contract based on the information the website is showing. We also informed them that the website is showing $114.95. The website has not been changed so it is still reflecting a price that is incorrect. Other people will also be mislead by this. The service was sub par.

I had placed my reservation online from home and went to go access my unit at the address provided, and one older nice gentleman told me that it was actually up the street. Not a big deal, so I continue up the street and I put in through the access gate and drive and drive and don’t see any units that even come close to my unit number. They have this blue office building that I assumed was like the “main” building for that area but the entrance door was locked. We drive back and I’m explaining to the younger guy with sunglasses on at his desk that there is NOT a unit with my number over in that area. He assures me it is but can’t give me an exact answer on where. We go back up the street and the young guy is there and he goes and opens this white back door tucked away in the back and reveals that the “storage” is just this poorly made wood shack that I’m expected to think is worth the amount I paid. I expected to have like…. A normal U-Haul unit…. This was beyond words. Very creepy and just overall ignorant/false advertising. The young guy had such a smug personality, it just ruined my perception of the company. This location seriously needs to be audited by a district leader.

Based in the last few years I've rented from this location: .rat droppings in my unit . The guy in the front office is very rude. I had to escalate an issue with online payments just so I wouldn't keep getting charged late fees since I no longer live in the area. .my move out date says 8.9.23, but that's wrong i spoke to a lady on 7.1.23 and informed her that I would no longer be renting from them since my items in the unit smell like smoke because there were people living in the unit next to mine. She never updated my account for close.

For accuracy This survey states move out date as 8.2.23, I moved out 7.9.23. My only complaint is I was in 1190 and the light wouldn’t stay on while I am in the storage, the timer would shut off every 5 minutes and there was no motion detector close to my unit so I would have to walk in the dark the long length of the hallway or try to use my cell phone flashlight. This was very dangerous as much as it was inconvenient, mainly if someone were in the facility to harm me and knew there was no motion sensor on that side. I do want to commend the employees for their prompt, gracious and knowledgeable attitudes toward me as a customer . This was a tremendously overwhelming time for me and their kindness and strength, their servants hearts made all the difference. Madison was my rock, courteous, a true team leader and genuinely passionate person when it came to representing U-haul and its products! I have always had great faith in U-haul and its products including the fleet you offer to assist with moves, your manageable prices and your call center support team. Keep it p U-haul you always impress me!!!

No issues, everything went smoothly and facility is what you would expect from a newer storage place. I would recommend building onto your app though. Possible allowing the use of Bluetooth or NFC to access gates and or check in/out. Just a small feature that makes public storage slightly more pleasant to store at. Typing in a code is a bit outdated but wouldn’t keep me from using U-Haul, just increase user experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the service we received while ‘moving in’ for our RV storage. The process was very easy and David went above and beyond. We bought our first RV and went to back it up into the spot. As you can imagine, we didn’t know what we were doing. David spotted us while leaving for the day and walked us through how to back into our space. Very kind and very impressed!
