With 14 10+ foot box trucks at the El Centro California location, *none* are designated for one-way rentals. That usually means a trip to San Diego or Yuma, Arizona to pick up a tow vehicle to use a Uhaul car caddy to move my disabled car. Uhaul had the preferred car caddy at El Centro, but my wife had to drive her car from the San Francisco Bay area to the California/Mexico border and back to rescue my car on the available car caddy. I strongly recommend that Uhaul designate at least one truck, even a large one, at each location for one-way rentals.

You guys made me add 95+ miles that I should’ve never had to pay for. I originally signed up to pick up from a location that is .2 miles from my house. I even went into the store a week beforehand to make sure they had the truck I needed and to verify the earliest time I could come in. You contact me the day before saying I need to now pick up from a location that is 48 miles from my house? That is absolutely outrageous. I did what I needed to do to make sure that could pick up from the closest location and you just highway rob me. This has been completely unfair, I’ve now paid so much more than I should have ever.

Everything was flawless in El Centro. However at Saskatoon we found that the trailer door did not like cold weather and was reluctant to open in clod weather. I don't know how you would check for or prevent this and it did open!!

All Staff at the El Centro U-Haul Center are always very courteous and professional. They make sure all equipment is in good working order to include the proper hitch hook up and lighting. When I leave the U-Haul lot I feel safe knowing the equipment and installation is top notch. Thank you!

I was charged 3x the amount. I should have only paid $35.51 but they made another charge of $80.84. We received one credit of $41.08 but we are still awaiting a credit of $40.42.

Have a worker, actually working the front desk/cash register. This was the 2nd time I was into this location and there's no worker to be seen. We stood there a couple of minutes. Before deciding to yell out, "hello". That's when a worker finally came from the back

Trailer was attached with two flat tires, that were noticeably worn. Attendant was the only one working and waaaay too busy. He said it would be ok. During the trip I had to air up the tires at every stop. The driver rear eventually blew and I was left stuck (luckily) at a hotel. The repair service was excellent, but could have been avoided.

Just one comment! Customer Service needs to be more detail of what type of gas the vehicle uses. That way we can put gas before dropping it off. I went to the gas station to try to put gas but no where onsite said what type of gas.

My first experience renting from U-Haul. I reserved online and asked many questions. Very inexpensive to rent trailer. Very friendly service. They help me hitching at pickup and unhitching on return. I highly recommend U-Haul, and I would definitely rent from them again for any of my moving needs.

It would be nice if you would advertise the True and Correct Amount!! Instead of lying on your rental price advertised being at one price, and at the end you come out pay way more than what the advertisement says. Yes I know there taxes and insurance is optional but the way you charge mileage for in town is outrageous, it would be different if you would be going out of town and back!

My original drop off was 235 S. 4th Street, a business called Rubio's. The location was unattended and looked more like a used tire store. Rene at 1745 S. 4th Street was kind enough to accept the returned trailer. When I mentioned the foul-up regarding Rubio's, Rene nodded his head in understanding. I do NOT understand why I was asked to return the trailer to Rubio's, particularly since I had specified the 1745 S. 4th Street location as my preferred drop off point. U-haul, you have to do MUCH better than this.

Not assume customers are driving a U-Haul vehicle just to transport it to another location. Resulting in an extra $53 being spent.

I don’t remember the name but the guy in charge of the storage units was very helpful and patient with us! Gave excellent customer service and explained everything clearly. This is our first time renting a unit so all information received was clear. Positive attitude kudos to guy.

I could see nothing out of place or unclean at this business. Then the employee who handled the paperwork and signing up was very polite, wore a pleasant look on his face as he was deking with a semi difficult customer, who was me. I am 66, sometimes don't see very well and I was happy to say that your employee took extra care to ensure that I understood each step in the process. Also, his phone skills were impeccable as he was polite and engaging when speaking to me assuring me that if I showed up a few minutes late that he would adjust the starting time to the next 15 minute increment. I was happy checking in and also during the checkout where I found paying for the extra miles pain free and quick so I could be on my way home.

Cuando entregue el camion de uhaul, se me quedo adentro el dolly y pedi que me permitieran llevar el dolly de regreso a mi Direccion pues era prestado. El personal de uhaul en turno, dijo que no, que ya se habia cerrado el contrato. Les pedi que lo volvieran a abrir y contestaron que no podian. Despues de insistir y ellos continuar en la negativa, les pregunte si podian llevarme el dolly a mi domicilio , me dijeron de nuevo que no. Finalmente les dije que queria hablar con el gerente para que me ayudara a resolver mi situacion.Uno de los representantes se fue a la oficina y despues de un rato regreso y como a las 7:45pm me dijo que me llevara el camion para regresar el dolly y que tenia hasta las 8pm para regresar el camion de Uhaul. Afortunadamente mi Direccion esta a cuatro cuadras del Uhaul y pudimos entregar a las 8pm el camion de 15 pies. Como es que nos olvida de que somos seres humanos y que podemos ayudarnos? Que decepcion de servicio al cliente por parte de Uhaul.

The truck they gave started making noises as my husband drove it back- we were orginially supposed to drive from Yuma, but it ended up being El Centro, CA to Mesa, AZ (approximately 3.5 hours). We were pushed from the Yuma, AZ location selected to this El Centro Location. We tried to call to rectify the situation, but they were all lackadaisical and didn't seem to care. One guy did credit us 75 miles however this didn't include the gas we had to put in or the extra 2 hours and 10 minutes that was added to our day without so much as a call. They didn't have the furniture dollys we requested. This was seriously the worst rental experience either of us have ever had.

Very clean state of the art storage facility. Climate controlled throughout the entire building and very safe with entry and exit pins required to know who is the premises at all times. Well worth the rental prices to keep your stowed belongs from deteriorating in the valley heat. The staff is very helpful and very friendly, attentive to helping their customers, something most businesses lack today.

The only issue I had was I moved out of my units (2) on the 2nd of June. I had just paid rent on the 20th of May, but I couldn't get a refund for the time I was early. My situation didn't let me use the whole month I had paid for. That's the way it goes.

I rented a 10 foot truck. 24 hours. I get there This rude punk.Tells me to shut up calls manager. Gives me a 24ft. So I store the stuff there.can’t afford it. You sell everything and I owe you 1000.
